次に、前記端子装置の組立方法について説明する。まず、図9のようにボックス端子2を端子板3の上に重ね合わせた状態でボックス固定ネジ6を端子板のネジ穴3aに螺合して両者を一体に結合し、さらにボックス端子2の上部には端子ネジ7を螺合しておく。

そこで、本発明の目的は、製作コストの低減を狙いに部品点数,組立工数の削減化が図れるように組立構造を改良した端子装置を提供することにある。

また、前記構成において、ボックス端子を定位置に安定保持させるための手段として、端子カバーの前壁内面に、該カバーを端子台に装着した位置でボックス端子を定位置に押さえ込む保持ガイドを設けるものとする(請求項2)。

すなわち、図示実施例においては、端子装置の部品である端子板3は固定ネジ穴がなく、その代わりに端子板の後端から左右に分岐して側縁に延在する左右一対のアーム状支持ガイド3bが形成されている。一方ボックス端子2はボックスの上壁に端子ネジ7が螺合され、その端子ネジの先端にはボックス内に嵌入した電線押え用の座金8が遊嵌支持されている。また、端子カバー5にはその前壁の内面に図4で示すような縦方向のリブ状突起になる端子押え用の保持ガイド5dが形成されている。
そして、ボックス端子2,端子板3,端子カバー5をユニットの端子台1bに装着するには、まず、図1(b)で示すようにボックス端子2に対して端子板3を矢印方向から嵌挿し、ボックス端子の左右側壁を端子板3の側縁と前記支持ガイド3bとの間に挟み込んで結合する。次にボックス端子2と端子板3との組立体を前方から端子台1bに挿入し、端子板3の両サイドに形成した支持ガイド3bを相間隔壁1aの壁面に形成したガイド溝1cに圧入して端子板3を左右の隔壁間に跨がって固定する。図2は端子カバー5を装着する前の組立状態を示す。続いて、端子台に端子カバー5を被せ、その両サイドの突起5cを相間隔壁1aに形成した係合溝1fにクリック結合して固定する。また、端子カバー5を装着した状態では、図4で表すように端子カバー5の前壁内面に形成した保持ガイド5dがボックス端子2の前面に当接して該端子を定位置に押さえ込む。なお、この状態ではボックス端子2は端子板3に対して上下方向に可動であり、配線時には図9で述べたと同様に端子台1bの前後からボックス端子2に外部配線の電線(図示せず)および接続リード板4を差し込んだ上で端子ネジ7を締め付けることで、配線が端子板3と端子ネジ7に結合した座金8との間に挟持される。
