Abstract
極めて簡単な方法にて高精度なサーボ・データを記録することができるディスク装置の製造方法及びディスク装置を提供する。
【解決手段】
ベース内に磁気ディスク及びこれを駆動するSPM、VCM等の各アセンブリを収納し、トップ・カバーを取り付けて、HDDの各アセンブリを密閉すべく組み立てる(ステップS1)。その後、ハード・ディスク・アセンブリHDA内の空気を空気より密度が小さいHeなどの気体に置換し(ステップS5)、セルフ・サーボ・トラック・ライトにより磁気ディスクにサーボ・データを記録し(ステップS7)、その後、HDA内の前記気体を空気に置換する(ステップS9)。

Claims (19)
- ディスクと、前記ディスクに対するデータの記録及び再生を行うヘッドと、前記ディスク及びヘッドを駆動する駆動部とを筐体に収納してなるディスク装置の製造方法において、
前記ディスク、ヘッド及び駆動部を前記筐体に収納し、
前記筐体内の空気を前記空気より密度が小さい気体に置換し、
セルフ・サーボ・トラック・ライトにより前記ディスクにサーボ・データを記録し、
前記筐体内の前記気体を前記空気に置換する
ことを特徴とするディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記気体は、不活性ガス又は不活性ガスと空気との混合ガスである
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記気体は、ヘリウム、水素、又は、ヘリウム及び/又は水素と空気との混合ガスである
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記気体に置換する際は、前記筐体内に前記気体を注入しつつ前記空気を排出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記気体に置換する際は、前記筐体に設けられたパーティクルテスト用のテスト口から前記気体を注入しつつ前記空気を排出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記気体に置換する際は、前記テスト口の径より小さい径のチューブを前記テスト口に挿入し前記気体を注入する
ことを特徴とする請求項5記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記気体に置換する際は、前記筐体に設けられた通気口から前記気体を注入しつつ前記空気を排出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記気体に置換する際は、前記筐体に設けられた第1の通気口から前記気体を注入しつつ前記筐体に設けられた第2の通気口から前記空気を排出する
ことを特徴とする請求項7記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記空気に置換する際は、前記第2の通気口から前記空気を注入しつつ前記第1の通気口から前記気体を排出する
ことを特徴とする請求項8記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記筐体の上面側に設けられた前記第1の通気口から前記気体を注入しつつ前記筐体の下面側に設けられた前記第2の通気口から前記空気を排出する
ことを特徴とする請求項8記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記第1の通気口から前記気体を注入しつつ前記筐体において前記第1の通気口とは対角に設けられた前記第2の通気口から前記空気を排出する
ことを特徴とする請求項8記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - 前記空気に置換する際は、前記通気口を開放する
ことを特徴とする請求項7記載のディスク装置の製造方法。 - ディスクと、前記ディスクに対するデータの記録及び再生を行うヘッドと、前記ディスク及びヘッドを駆動する駆動部とを筐体に収納してなるディスク装置において、
前記筐体は、セルフ・サーボ・トラック・ライトの前に前記筐体内に空気より密度が軽い気体を注入し前記筐体内の空気を排出するための通気口を有するディスク装置。 - 前記通気口は、前記セルフ・サーボ・トラック・ライトの後、前記筐体内に空気を注入し前記筐体内の前記気体を排出するためのものである
ことを特徴とする請求項13記載のディスク装置。 - 前記気体を注入する第1の通気口と前記空気を排出する第2の通気口とを有する
ことを特徴とする請求項13記載のディスク装置。 - 前記第1の通気口は前記筐体の上部に設けられ、前記第2の通気口は前記筐体の下部に設けられる
ことを特徴とする請求項14記載のディスク装置。 - 前記第1の通気口と前記第2の通気口とは前記筐体において対角に設けられる
ことを特徴とする請求項14記載のディスク装置。 - 装置自身が記録したサーボ・データが記録されたディスクと、
前記ディスクに対するデータの記録及び再生を行うヘッドと、
前記サーボ・データを再生した再生信号から生成した位置誤差信号に基づき前記ヘッドを位置決め制御する制御部とを有し、
前記サーボ・データから得られる前記位置誤差信号は、非繰り返しランアウト成分より繰り返しランアウト成分が小さい
ことを特徴とするディスク装置。 - 前記サーボ・データから得られる前記位置誤差信号は、非繰り返しランアウト成分より、セルフ・サーボ・トラック・ライト中に非繰り返しランアウトにより書き込まれる繰り返しランアウト成分が小さい
ことを特徴とする請求項18記載のディスク装置。
