Description

The present invention relates to a battery pack that includes a plate-shaped battery and an exterior body that surrounds at least a side surface of the battery, and has a label wound around the exterior body and the battery.

In recent years, along with the downsizing of electronic devices such as portable devices, there has been an increasing demand for downsizing of battery packs built in the electronic devices. A pack is used (see, for example, Patent Document 1). However, when the label is wound, the label becomes convex with respect to the outer package or the battery, and a step is generated. Therefore, when the battery pack is held in the hand, a finger or a nail is caught on the step, and thus the user feels uncomfortable. Or the label may be peeled off.

Therefore, a concave portion corresponding to the thickness of the label is formed in the exterior body, and the label is wound around the concave portion. In this case, since the label is embedded in the recess, the step does not occur, and it is possible to prevent the above-described step from causing a sense of incongruity or peeling off the label. However, when the interval between the recess and the label outer edge is large, the label is convex with respect to the bottom surface of the recess and the step is generated. Therefore, the interval between the recess and the label outer edge is preferably as small as possible.

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a battery pack, FIG. 7 is a plan view showing an example of a conventional label, and FIGS. 8A and 8B are examples of a battery pack wound with a conventional label. It is the surface view and side view which show. In the example of FIG. 1, the rectangular flat battery 10 and the protection circuit board 12 are accommodated in a rectangular outer frame (the outer frame upper half 14 and the outer frame lower half 16), and the battery 10 and the outer frame 14. , 16 is wrapped with a label 8. As shown in FIG. 7, the label 8 has a quadrangular shape, and has alignment protrusions 8 a that are attached to the alignment recesses 14 a and 16 a on the short sides of the exterior frames 14 and 16. The exterior frames 14 and 16 are formed with recesses parallel to the short sides. As shown in FIG. 8B, the label 8 is connected to the battery 10 and the exterior frame so that the recesses and the outer edge of the label 8 are parallel to each other. Wrap around 14,16.
JP-A-9-27306

When the label is wound, the label is wound while pulling the label so as not to generate bubbles. At that time, a general label is often made of a thin plastic film and has high flexibility, but the label is often elongated when wound. Moreover, since it is highly flexible and easily stretched, the label often meanders during winding. Therefore, when the interval between the concave surface and the outer edge of the label is small, the label may run over the concave portion over the concave portion due to the extension or meandering of the label, as shown in FIG. Thus, the battery in which the label rides on the exterior body beyond the concave portion is defective in appearance.

This invention is made in view of such a situation, and it aims at providing the battery pack which can reduce generation | occurrence | production of an appearance defect by tapering the width | variety of the winding end side of a label. .

In addition, the present invention provides a battery pack in which the width of the label is constant on the front surface side and the back surface side of the battery and is changed on the side surface, thereby reducing the occurrence of appearance defects without impairing the design. To do other purposes.

Further, according to the present invention, the difference between the width of the tapered leading end portion of the label and the width of the non-tapered portion is not less than 0.1% of the length in the winding direction of the tapered portion. Another object of the present invention is to provide a battery pack capable of reducing the occurrence of poor appearance without impairing the design by setting the ratio to 0.0% or less.

A battery pack according to a first aspect of the present invention is a battery pack comprising a plate-shaped battery and an exterior body surrounding at least a side surface of the battery, and the battery pack in which the label is wound around the exterior body and the battery or the exterior body. The winding end side is tapered in width.

The battery pack according to a second invention is characterized in that, in the first invention, the width of the label is constant on the front surface side and the back surface side of the battery and changes on the side surface side.

The battery pack according to a third aspect of the present invention is the battery pack according to the first or second aspect, wherein the difference between the width of the tapered leading end portion of the label and the width of the non-tapered portion is winding of the tapered portion. It is characterized by being 0.1% or more and 1.0% or less of the length in the direction.

In the first invention, since the width of the winding end side of the label is tapered, even when the label is stretched or meandering at the time of winding, the label is prevented from protruding from the specified range for winding. it can. Thereby, the occurrence of appearance defects can be reduced.

In the second invention, the width of the label is not changed on the front side and the back side of the battery that is easily noticeable, and the width of the label is changed on the side surface of the battery that is not easily noticeable. The change in the label width due to the taper being narrow is difficult for the user to notice. Therefore, the appearance can be reduced without impairing the design.

In the third invention, the difference between the width of the tapered leading end of the label and the width of the non-tapered portion is not less than 0.1% of the length in the winding direction of the tapered portion. Since it is 0.0% or less, the amount of decrease in the width of the tapered portion is small, and it is difficult to notice that the taper is tapered. Therefore, the appearance can be reduced without impairing the design.

According to the first invention, even when the label is stretched or meandering at the time of winding, it is possible to prevent the label from protruding from the specified range of winding, and to reduce the occurrence of poor appearance.

According to the second and third inventions, the appearance can be reduced without impairing the design.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the drawings showing embodiments thereof. FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a battery pack, FIG. 2 and FIG. 4 (a) are plan views showing examples of labels according to the present invention, and FIGS. 3 (a) and 3 (b) are related to the present invention. It is the surface view and side view which show the example of the battery pack which wound the label.

The battery 10 has a rectangular flat plate shape, and a rectangular protection circuit board 12 is disposed on one of the short side surfaces. The battery 10 and the protection circuit board 12 are accommodated in a rectangular outer frame (exterior body). The outer frame is formed by welding the upper half 14 and the lower half 16 of the outer frame, which are divided into upper and lower parts, and accommodates the protective circuit board 12 and the battery 10 so as to surround the side surfaces. The outer frame upper half 14 and the outer frame lower half 16 are formed with recesses parallel to the short sides, and a label 18 is wound around the recesses and the front and back surfaces of the battery 10. The depth of the concave portion is approximately the same as or slightly larger than the thickness of the label 18, and the bottom surface of the concave portion is positioned substantially on the same plane as the front or back surface of the battery 10. In addition, alignment concave portions 14 a and 16 a for alignment of the label 18 are formed on the other short side surfaces of the exterior frames 14 and 16. The battery 10 has a length of 50 mm, a width of 34 mm, and a thickness of 5.2 mm, and the battery pack has a length of 58 mm, a width of 36 mm, and a thickness of 5.8 mm.

また、ラベル18は、例えばPET(Polyethylene Terephthalate)の基材に、PET又はPP(Polypropylene)のラミネートを行っており、アクリル系の接着剤で貼着する。   The label 18 has a substantially quadrangular shape, and has an alignment convex portion 18a attached to the alignment concave portions 14a and 16a at a part of the long side. As for the width of the label 18, as shown in FIG. 2, one short side is tapered, and an alignment convex portion 18 a is formed on one of the parallel long sides that are not tapered. The difference between the width A of the shorter side (hereinafter, referred to as a normal short side) of the label 18 and the width B of the shorter side (hereinafter, referred to as a tapered short side) of the tapered side. (= AB) is 0.1% or more and 1.0% or less of the length C in the winding direction of the tapered portion. In addition, the difference between the width A on the short side and the width B on the tapered short side is, as shown in FIG. 4 (a), the difference d1 on the side on which the alignment convex portion 18a is formed and the other side. Although it is the sum (d1 + d2) with the difference d2, in this embodiment, d1 = d2 = 0.08 mm. In the present embodiment, the width A of the normal short side of the label is 51 mm, the length C of the tapered portion in the winding direction is C = 40 mm, and the total length is 87 mm. In the figure, the tapered portion is exaggerated, but the actual taper is closer to parallel than in the figure. For example, the label 18 is obtained by laminating PET or PP (Polypropylene) on a PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) base material, and sticking it with an acrylic adhesive.

When the label 18 is wound around the outer frames 14 and 16 and the battery 10, the alignment convex portion 18 a of the label 18 is positioned in the alignment concave portion 16 a of the lower half 16 of the outer frame, and the concave portion of the outer frame 16 and the label 18. Adhere so that the non-tapered long side part is parallel. Next, the alignment convex portion 18a of the label 18 is folded and attached to the opposite surface side, and the normal short side of the label 18 is wound while being stretched so as not to generate bubbles. In addition, the alignment convex part 18a and the normal short side are not long enough to stretch or cause meandering, and problems such as sticking obliquely rarely occur.

Thereafter, the tapered portion of the label 18 is wound while being stretched so as not to generate bubbles. The tapered portion has such a length as to cause stretching or meandering, and causes problems such as sticking obliquely. However, since the tapered portion is tapered as shown in FIG. 2, the outer edge of the label 18 is a concave portion of the outer package 14 even when it is stretched or meandered and wound obliquely. Can be prevented from climbing over. The label 18 can be wound by hand or by a machine.

In the embodiment described above, the difference (= d1 + d2) between the width A on the short side and the width B on the tapered short side is set to d1 = d2 as shown in FIG. d1 and d2 can be arbitrarily adjusted. 4 (b) and 4 (c) are plan views showing other examples of labels according to the present invention. In FIG. 4B, d1> d2. In FIG. 4C, d2 = 0. The values of d1 and d2 can be adjusted based on, for example, quality control of the battery pack around which the label is wound. Further, the width B on the tapered short side can be arbitrarily adjusted. For example, the width B can be adjusted based on the quality control of the battery pack around which the label is wound. For example, by appropriately setting the width B of the tapered short side in accordance with the extent of extension or meandering of the label 18 in the winding process, the label 18 and the recesses of the exterior frames 14 and 16 are made as parallel as possible. It is possible to suppress impairing the design.

In the above-described embodiment, the tapered portion is tapered. However, the shape of the tapered portion is not limited to the tapered shape, and can be any tapered shape. 5 is a plan view showing still another example of the label according to the present invention, and FIGS. 6A and 6B are a front view and a side view showing an example of a battery pack around which the label shown in FIG. 5 is wound. It is. The long side of the tapered portion of the label 19 shown in FIG. 5 is parallel, and only a part of the long side of the label 19 is tapered. For example, AB = 0.2 mm, and a taper that is 0.1 mm thinner from each long side is formed on one short side of the label 19. As shown in FIG. 6B, the tapered portion is spaced from the portion where the alignment convex portion 18a is formed so as to be positioned on the side surface of the battery pack during winding. Formed in position. In this case, as shown in FIG. 6B, the change in the width of the label 19 occurs in the side surface portion of the battery pack. As shown in FIG. 6A, the width of the label 19 in the front surface portion or the back surface portion of the battery pack. Therefore, the change in the width of the label 19 is hardly noticeable, and the effects of the present invention can be obtained without impairing the design.

In the above-described embodiment, the label is wound around the long side of the exterior frame, but the label can be wound around the short side. In this case, the protection circuit board 12 is arranged on the long side. In the above-described embodiment, the frame-shaped exterior body that surrounds the side surface of the battery has been described as an example. However, the entire battery can be surrounded by the exterior body.
