(3)前記ケテンダイマーが、下記式(III):

(式中、Rはそれぞれ独立して、置換されていてもよいC8-30アルキル基又はC8-30アルケニル基である)で示される化合物である、前記(1)に記載の化合物。
(4)前記多糖類を溶解し得る溶剤が、塩化リチウム/N,N−ジメチル−2−イミダゾリジノン混合溶剤又は塩化リチウム/N,N−ジメチルアセトアミド混合溶剤である前記に記載の化合物。
(5)前記多糖類と前記ケテンダイマーとの反応が、塩基の存在下行なわれる前記(1)に記載の化合物。
(6)前記ポリマーブラシ化合物が、下記一般式(I):
