寝姿勢の測定方法と測定装置によって、寝具を使用する本人の仰臥位および側臥位の寝姿勢を実際に測定することができ、寝姿勢と体圧分布は二律背反の関係と思われていたが、弾力性分布を変えられる敷き寝具によって、寝姿勢を悪くしないで体圧分布を改善することが出来る。
