Abstract
Description
この光触媒作用は、電気的半導体が反応可能な物質と接触した場合に生じる作用である。この照射によって、電子はより高いエネルギー準位の伝導帯になる。「正孔」は残ったままである。この励起された電子及び/又は正孔は分子又はラジカルと半導体表面で、例えばレドックス反応を起こす。従って、酸素の存在で、大抵の有機分子、細菌及びウイルスは完全に酸化することができる。
全ての公知の反応器構造様式は、これらの反応器が照射される触媒表面の著しくわずかな充填密度を達成していることが共通している。このことは装置を高価にしている。更に、この装置は著しく高い所要面積を必要とすることが多く、この所要面積は同様にこの使用を高価にしている。いくらかコンパクト化された公知の構造様式は、極めて細密でかつ複雑に構築され、従って相応して高価である。
本発明は、燐光を発する物質により必要なエネルギーを光触媒の活性表面(以後光触媒PKと言う)の付近に輸送し、その付近では燐光を発する粒子が適切な波長の光を放射しかつPKを活性化するという新規の種類の原則に基づく。
− 流動層、流動層カスケード、流動溝(Wirbelrinne)
− 噴流層、噴流層からなるカスケード
− 撹拌容器、撹拌容器カスケード
− 管状反応器
− 固定層(PKで被覆された)又は全ての開放型の整列した構造、例えば小板、ハニカム等。
流動層反応器:粒径:1μm〜1mm
固定層(又は整列した構造、例えば小板、ハニカムなどを有する全ての反応器)を使用する場合には、この光触媒は程度に差はあるが静止する担体上に薄層が固定されている。
このマイクロラジエーターMRは燐光を発する固体であり、粒子の形で使用される。このマイクロラジエーターは、十分に長い残光時間(少なくとも秒の範囲内で、好ましくは数分又はそれ以上、有利に5秒〜30分)を有しなければならず、かつ光触媒を活性化することができる波長領域で発光しなければならない。
他の目的で開発されたが、ここに記載された適用のための全ての要求をカバーする、可視光領域において発光する燐光を発する多くの固体は公知である。広範囲に列挙する代わりに、次の文献を指摘し、この文献の内容は本願明細書に組み込まれる(US P 6,287, 993, DE 195 21 119A1, DE 199 26 980A1, DE 199 34 436A1)。
摩耗の回避のために、MRがいずれにせよガラスからなっていない場合には、これは光を透過する(薄い)層(例えばガラス)で被覆されていることができる。この被覆は処理すべき流体中でのMRの腐食もしくは溶解に対しても保護することができる。
PK及びMRの流体からの分離(摩耗も)、一般的方法、例えばフィルタ、サイクロン、遠心分離等で行うことができ、MRの場合では磁気分離器(上記参照)を用いても行うこともできる。
ランプの周囲の狭い間隙中でのMR粒子の運動、
流動方向に対して横方向の、良好な粒子輸送を伴う流動(例えば組み込まれたランプを備えた流動層又は乱流の形成による)。
本発明による方法は、光触媒作用に関して活性の表面上で液体又はガス中で実施することができる全ての化学反応に対して適している。
図1による実験室懸濁反応器
この反応器は、羽根攪拌機2を備えた撹拌容器1、酸素(空気)用の供給管3、排ガス用の排出管4及び外側のランプ(UV放射器)5からなり、かつ反応媒体6、○で示されたマイクロラジエーター7並びに●で示された光触媒8とからなる懸濁液を有する。

この反応器は、羽根攪拌機2を備えた撹拌容器1、酸素(空気)用の供給管3、排ガス用の排出管4からなり、その際に攪拌機2の下側に沈降室9が設けられており、その沈降室内に比較的重いMR7が捕集され、少量の流体6と一緒にポンプ10及び導管11を介して外側の環状部12でUVランプ5にさらされ、活性化の後で導管13を介して上側から撹拌容器1内へ戻される。

この反応器は、組み込まれた水平方向のメアンダー状に配置されたリブ22を備えた管状反応器21からなり、かつ反応溶液6(この反応溶液は酸素富有でありかつ導管25を介して混合器に供給される)、光触媒8(この光触媒はポンプ27及び導管26/28を介して循環路に供給される)及びマイクロラジエーター7(このマイクロラジエーターは導管11及び13、ポンプ10及びUVランプ5を取り囲む環状ジャケット12を経由して循環される)からなる混合物が混合器から供給され、この混合物はセパレータ29を経由し、その箇所で成分が分離される。十分に反応したこの反応溶液並びに形成された排ガスを、導管30を介して排出する。

この反応器は、管の方向に向かうハニカム構造体32を備えた管状の反応器ケーシング1からなり、このハニカム構造体は光触媒で被覆されている。供給管25からの反応溶液6と、循環管13からの活性化されたマイクロラジエーター7とは、混合器24及び導管23を介して反応器内へ導入され、ハニカム構造体32を通過し、その際に光エネルギーがPKに放射され、その後にこのマイクロラジエーターはセパレータ29中で溶液6と分離され、導管11及びポンプ10を介してランプ5の環状ジャケット12に供給され、そこでこのマイクロラジエーターはUV光で活性化され、導管13を介して反応器中に戻される。
Claims (17)
- 液状又はガス状の反応媒体中で光触媒反応を実施するための、固体光触媒を備えた反応容器、供給管及び排出管、混合装置及び電磁放射線を供給するための装置からなる反応器において、放射線源に対して電磁放射線を吸収しかつ反応器内部で時間的に遅延して光触媒を励起する光を放射するマイクロラジエーターを含有することを特徴とする、反応器。
- 放射線源は放射線透過性の壁部に又は反応容器内部に取り付けられていて、かつ混合装置は、マイクロラジエーターを反応容器内部から放射線源に運搬しかつ返送するのに適していることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の反応器。
- 電磁放射線を供給するための装置がランプと液体通路とからなり、この液体通路はマイクロラジエーター用の輸送管及び運搬装置を介して反応容器と接続していることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の反応器。
- ランプが棒状に構成されていてかつこのランプは液体通路によりジャケット状に取り囲まれていることを特徴とする、請求項3記載の反応器。
- この反応容器にマイクロラジエーターを光触媒及び/又は反応媒体から分離する装置が設けられていることを特徴とする、請求項3又は4記載の反応器。
- 空気又は酸素用の供給管と、排ガスのための排出管とが設けられていることを特徴とする、水又は排水中の有機不純物を酸化するための請求項1から5記載の反応器。
- 反応容器が、流動層反応器、貫流型反応器又は管状反応器、固定層反応器又は撹拌容器反応器であることを特徴とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の反応器。
- 光触媒は、懸濁反応器中では1nm〜100μmの粒径を有し、流動層反応器又は固定層反応器中では1μm〜1mmの粒径を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の反応器。
- マイクロラジエーターが、5秒〜30分の燐光半減期を有し、かつ1nm〜1mm、有利に10μm〜0.5mmの粒度を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の反応器。
- 1nm〜1mmの粒度を有する担体上に被覆されている燐光を発する材料からなることを特徴とする、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の、反応器中に使用するためのマイクロラジエーター。
- 担体が磁性材料からなることを特徴とする、請求項10記載のマイクロラジエーター。
- 担体が放射線透過性の層で被覆されていることを特徴とする、請求項10又は11記載のマイクロラジエーター。
- 固体光触媒を液状又はガス状の反応媒体中に懸濁させるか、又は表面上に被覆し、かつこの固体光触媒は、電磁放射線源で蓄光されていてかつこのエネルギーを時間的に遅延して放射するマイクロラジエーターを用いて活性化させる、光触媒反応を実施するための方法。
- マイクロラジエーターを、エネルギーの放出による光触媒の活性化後に、再び放射線源を通過させ、新たに蓄光させることを特徴とする、請求項13記載の方法。
- マイクロラジエーターが光触媒及び/又は反応媒体から分離され、その後で別個の放射線源に案内されかつ活性化され、引き続き反応媒体中に戻されることを特徴とする、請求項14記載の方法。
- 光触媒反応は水溶液中での有機化合物の酸化であることを特徴とする、請求項13から15記載の方法。
- 触媒がTiO2粒子であり、マイクロラジエーターがガラス粒子であり、このガラス粒子は希土類でドープされていてかつUV光又は可視光で励起することができることを特徴とする、請求項13から16までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
