Claims (11)
- 複数のデータ線と、
複数の選択線と、
複数の画素要素を有し、前記画素要素は、
選択線に接続された制御端子を有する、データ線に接続された選択トランジスタを有し、
画素要素が前記選択線により選択されたときに前記データ線により供給される電荷を蓄積するキャパシタンスを有し、電荷は前記キャパシタンスをわたる電圧を供給し、
前記キャパシタンスをわたる電圧に従って、画素画像要素を表示する、前記キャパシタンスに接続された表示構成要素とを有する、マトリクスディスプレイであって、
各画素は、前記キャパシタンスを短絡する低抵抗状態と高抵抗状態の間で切り換え可能な前記キャパシタンスをわたるプログラム可能な要素を有することを特徴とする、マトリクスディスプレイ。 - 前記プログラム可能な要素は、金属半導体金属構造である、請求項1に記載のマトリクスディスプレイ。
- 前記金属−半導体−金属構造は、アモルファスシリコンカーバイド半導体層を有する、請求項2に記載のマトリクスディスプレイ。
- 前記キャパシタンスは、前記プログラム可能な要素内に集積されている、請求項1乃至3のうちいずれか一項に記載のマトリクスディスプレイ。
- 表示構成要素は、発光ダイオードである、請求項1乃至4のうちいずれか一項に記載のマトリクスディスプレイ。
- 前記発光ダイオードは、前記選択トランジスタに接続された制御端子を有する画素トランジスタと直列に第1と第2の電圧線路の間に接続され、
前記キャパシタンスとプログラム可能な要素は、前記画素トランジスタの制御端子と第1の電圧線路の間に接続され、それにより、前記キャパシタンスをわたる電圧は、画素が明るいように電流が発光ダイオードを通して流れることを可能とするために前記画素トランジスタが導通するか、又は、画素が暗いように画素トランジスタがオフされるかを制御する、
請求項5に記載のマトリクスディスプレイ。 - 更に、光学的なフィードバックを提供するために、発光ダイオードから放射された光を受信する、前記キャパシタンスをわたり接続された、フォトダイオードを有する、請求項5或は6に記載のマトリクスディスプレイ。
- 前記表示構成要素は、液晶画素電極である、請求項1乃至4のうちいずれか一項に記載のマトリクスディスプレイ。
- 前記プログラム可能な要素は、低抵抗状態、高抵抗状態、及び少なくとも1つの中間抵抗状態を含む、少なくとも3つの状態の間で切り換え可能である、請求項1乃至8のうちいずれか一項に記載のマトリクスディスプレイ。
- 複数のデータ線と、複数の行選択線と、複数の画素要素を有し、前記画素要素の各々は、 選択トランジスタ、キャパシタンス、前記キャパシタンスに接続された表示構成要素、及び、前記キャパシタンスを短絡する低抵抗状態と高抵抗状態の間で切り換え可能な前記キャパシタンスをわたるプログラム可能な要素とを有する、マトリクスディスプレイの動作方法であって、
画素の組のプログラム可能な要素を低抵抗状態にプログラムし、
低抵抗状態にプログラムされた画素の組に対応する画像を表示するために、予め定められた電圧を、全てのデータ線と選択線へ与えることにより、
静的なモードでマトリクスディスプレイを動作させる、方法。 - 更に、
全てのプログラム可能な要素を高抵抗状態であるようにプログラムし、
選択された画素の前記キャパシタンスに電荷を繰り返して順次蓄積することにより、画像データを表示し、それにより、画像は前記選択された画素に対応して表示される、
ことにより、動的なモードでマトリクスディスプレイを動作させることを含む、請求項10に記載の、マトリクスディスプレイを動作させる、方法。
