Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle body structure of a vehicle such as an automobile, and more particularly to a vehicle body structure at the front of a vehicle body.

Conventionally, the lower side of the dash lower panel forming the front wall of the passenger compartment has been difficult to be deformed by increasing the plate thickness or attaching a patch so as not to be displaced rearward in the event of a vehicle front collision. In addition, there is one in which a cross member is arranged on the lower side of the dash lower panel (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
JP-A-11-208505

However, in the former, there is a problem that the weight of the vehicle body increases and the fuel efficiency is improved. Moreover, in the latter, since the rigidity is secured by the cross member, there is no need to increase the strength and rigidity of the dash lower panel itself, but if the dash lower panel is deformed at the time of a vehicle collision, the space at the foot of the occupant becomes narrower. In order to secure this space, it is necessary to lengthen the front part of the vehicle body, and there is a problem that the vehicle body cannot be short-overhanged and the degree of freedom in modeling is reduced.

Therefore, the present invention provides a vehicle body structure capable of improving the rigidity of the lower portion of the dashboard portion and minimizing deformation with respect to an impact load.

In order to achieve the above object, the invention described in claim 1 includes a dashboard portion (for example, the front wall portion 4 of the dash lower panel 3 in the embodiment) and a floor portion (for example, extension of the dash lower panel 3 in the embodiment). Between the left and right side frames (for example, the side frame 21 in the embodiment) in the vicinity of the corner portion (for example, the corner portion 10 in the embodiment) formed by the portion 5, the projecting portion 7 of the cross member 6 and the floor panel 8). A cross member (for example, the cross member 6 in the embodiment) is provided, a partition member (for example, the bulkhead 22 in the embodiment) is disposed in the cross member, and a support member (for example, a cross member is connected to the floor portion) The support member 33) in the embodiment is disposed, and one end of the support member is connected to the cross member. Characterized in that connected to the partition wall placement site.
With this configuration, the cross member whose strength and rigidity are enhanced by the partition wall is further supported by the support member so that it can counter the load from the front side of the vehicle.

The invention described in claim 2 is characterized in that a raised portion (for example, the raised portion 51 in the embodiment) that bulges toward the vehicle interior side is provided in the lower portion of the dashboard portion and in front of the cross member. To do.
With this configuration, even if the vehicle body member moves rearward due to a load from the front side of the vehicle, the dashboard portion does not reach the rear portion due to the raised portion, and deformation of the dashboard portion can be avoided.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the cross member whose strength and rigidity are enhanced by the partition wall is further supported by the support member so as to be able to counter the load from the front side of the vehicle, and thus the weight can be reduced. There is.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, even if the vehicle body member moves rearward due to a load from the front side of the vehicle, the raised portion does not reach the dashboard portion positioned rearward, and deformation of the dashboard portion can be avoided. . Therefore, there is no need for a long space for securing a moving stroke in the front part of the vehicle body, and there is an effect that a short overhang can be realized and the degree of freedom in vehicle body modeling can be increased.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIG. 1, a dash lower panel 3 is provided at a boundary portion between the engine room 1 and the vehicle compartment 2. An extension portion 5 extending to the rear portion of the vehicle body is formed at the lower portion of the front wall portion 4 of the dash lower panel 3. A cross member 6 is joined to the back surface of the extension portion 5, and is formed at the rear portion of the cross member 6. A floor panel 8 is joined to the protruding portion 7.
The cross member 6 is a member that forms a closed cross-section structure portion with the extension portion 5 of the dash lower panel 3, and is a steel plate material that is thicker than the floor panel 8.
The front wall portion 4 of the dash lower panel 3 constitutes a dashboard portion, the extension portion 5 of the dash lower panel 3, the overhang portion 7 of the cross member 6 and the floor panel 8 constitute a floor portion, and the cross member 6 Is provided in the vicinity of the corner portion 10 formed by the dashboard portion and the floor portion.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the cross member 6 is a member in which a front wall 11 and a rear wall 12 are connected by left and right side walls 13 and 13. Flange portions 14, 15, 16 are formed on the upper edges of the front wall 11, the side walls 13, 13 and the rear wall 12 of the cross member 6, which are joined to the back surface of the extended portion 5 of the dash lower panel 3. Further, the upper edge portion of the rear wall 12 of the cross member 6 is formed as an overhang portion 7 extending substantially horizontally from the flange portion 16 toward the rear, and the rear edge portion of the overhang portion 7 and the extension of the dash lower panel 3 are formed. A floor panel 8 (shown only in FIG. 1) is joined to the rear edge portion of the portion 5. Here, two protrusions 17 and 17 are formed on the projecting portion 7, a mounting hole 19 of a steering hanger center frame 18 described later is formed in the protrusion 17, and a weld nut 20 is attached to the back side. . In FIG. 3, X indicates the right side, Y indicates the rear side, and Z indicates the upper side (the same applies to FIG. 4).

Extensions (not shown) to be joined to the lower surfaces of the floor panel 8 and the extension part 5 of the dash lower panel 3 are joined to the left and right ends of the front and rear walls 11 and 12 of the cross member 6, and these extensions are attached to the side of the vehicle body in the front-rear direction. Are connected to side frames 21 and 21 (see FIG. 4). Therefore, the side frames 21 and 21 forming the vehicle body skeleton members on both sides of the vehicle body are closed cross sections formed by the cross members 6 and the extensions arranged in the vehicle width direction on the lower surfaces of the floor panel 8 and the dash lower panel 3. It will be connected with a structure part.

A pair of bulkheads 22 which are partition walls are attached to the inside of the cross member 6, specifically, a portion surrounded by the front wall 11, the rear wall 12 and both side walls 13 and 13. The bulkhead 22 is arranged with the main wall 23 facing left and right. The main wall 23 is welded to the front flange portion 24 welded to the front wall 11 of the cross member 6, the lower flange portion 25 welded to the bottom wall 9 of the cross member 6, and the rear wall 12 of the cross member 6 welded to the main wall 23. A rear flange portion 26 is formed, and the pair of bulkheads 22 are attached to each other with a predetermined interval in the left-right direction with the longitudinal direction facing forward and backward. Here, each bulkhead 22 is formed in the same shape, and a hole 27 is formed in the main wall 23 for weight reduction.

A flange portion 28 is formed on the upper edge of the main wall 23 of the bulkhead 22. Here, a vertical flange 30 welded to the upper edge of the front wall 11 of the cross member 6 is provided at the front end portion of the flange portion 28, and the extending portion of the cross member 6 is provided at the rear edge portion of the flange portion 28. A rear flange portion 32 that is welded to a joint portion 31 provided on the flange portion 16 is formed. The cross member 6 is joined to the back surface of the extending portion 5 of the dash lower panel 3 with the bulkhead 22 configured as described above being attached.

As shown in FIG. 3, a support member 33 is welded from below to a portion of the cross member 6 that extends between the protruding portion 7 and the rear wall 12 as the rear portion of the cross member 6. A pair of support members 33 are attached corresponding to the arrangement site of the bulkhead 22, and include a main wall portion 34 that coincides with the position of the main wall 23 of the bulkhead 22. That is, the front end (one end) of the support member 33 is connected to the arrangement site of the bulkhead 22 of the cross member 6. A front flange portion 35 is formed on the main wall portion 34 of the support member 33 by welding to the rear wall 12 of the cross member 6, and the protruding portion 7 of the cross member 6 is formed on the upper edge of the main wall portion 34. Two flange pieces 36, 36 which are welded and joined from the back side are formed.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, a mounting bracket 40 for mounting a functional component of a collision safety device such as an air bag is mounted on the upper surface of the extending portion 5 of the dash lower panel 3. The mounting bracket 40 includes a base portion 41 extending in the vehicle width direction and two tongue-like portions 42 and 43 extending rearward. The dash lower panel 3 extends at the front edge of the base portion 41. Leading edge flanges 44, 44 joined to the part 5 are provided. The right tongue portion 43 is formed with a rear edge flange portion 45 joined to the extension portion 5, and the rear edge of the left tongue portion 42 is a side edge joined to the extension portion 5. Flange portions 46, 46 are formed.

Here, a rear inclined surface 47 is formed in the right tongue 43, and a mounting hole 48 of the steering hanger center frame 18 is formed in the rear inclined surface 47.
The leg portion 49 of the steering hanger center frame 18 that supports the steering handle in the mounting hole 48 of the mounting bracket 40 and the mounting holes 19 and 19 of the convex portion 17 of the projecting portion 7 of the cross member 6 constructed as described above. (Only shown in 3) is fastened and fixed by a bolt (not shown). The mounting bracket 40 is also formed with a flange portion 50 which is joined to the extending portion at the left rear portion of the base portion 41.

A raised portion 51 that bulges toward the vehicle interior side is formed at a lower portion of the dash lower panel 3 and in front of the cross member 6. An active engine mount 52 is disposed in front of the raised portion 51. Has been. Here, the active engine mount 52 is a functional component having a relatively large weight for dynamically adjusting engine vibration by hydraulic pressure or the like. Therefore, a movement stroke S is secured between the active engine mount 52 and the dash lower panel 3 when the active engine mount 52 moves rearward by the raised portion 51.

According to the above embodiment, since the cross member 6 whose strength and rigidity are enhanced by the bulkhead 22 is further supported by the support member 33, the main wall of the bulkhead 22 against the load acting from the front side of the vehicle at the time of frontal collision of the vehicle. 23, the main wall 34 of the support member 33 can receive and oppose it in the longitudinal direction which is advantageous in strength. Accordingly, since it is possible to effectively resist the input load, it is not necessary to increase the plate thickness for reinforcement or use many reinforcing members, and the vehicle weight can be reduced correspondingly. Further, the support rigidity of the steering hanger center frame 18 supported by the cross member 6 can be increased.

By the way, even when the active engine mount 52 moves rearward due to the rearward movement of the vehicle body at the time of the front collision of the vehicle, the bulging portion 51 sufficiently secures the moving stroke S to the rear of the active engine mount 52. Therefore, it is possible to reliably prevent the dash lower panel 3 from being deformed by the active engine mount 52.
This eliminates the need for a long space for securing the moving stroke S at the front portion of the vehicle body, thereby enabling a short overhang of the vehicle body and increasing the degree of freedom in modeling the vehicle body.

In this way, the cross member 6 with increased strength and rigidity has both the function of resisting the input load from the front side and the function of supporting the steering hanger center frame 18, and the raised portion 51 is provided on the dash lower panel 3. Thus, it is possible to secure a space around the occupant's feet when the vehicle collides. That is, it is possible to realize a vehicle body structure that can improve the strength and rigidity of the lower portion of the dashboard portion and can minimize deformation against an impact load.

Further, the cross member 6 is provided with an overhanging portion 7, and this overhanging portion 7 is reinforced by a support member 33 and the steering hanger center frame 18 is supported here, so that a tunnel portion is provided in the floor panel 8 and this tunnel portion. This is advantageous in that the floor panel 8 can be reduced in weight compared to a structure in which the steering hanger center frame is attached to the floor panel 8.
