Abstract
【解決手段】高エネルギー放射線によって荷電イオンを形成することの可能な気体を充填した電離箱内の電極に正電圧を印加し、正電圧により誘導されるイオン電流に関連する正イオン電流信号を測定し、電極に負電圧を印加し、負電圧により誘導されるイオン電流に関連する負信号を計測し、イオン電流信号に基づいて高エネルギー放射線束の大きさを求める。

Claims (8)
- 高エネルギー放射線束の測定方法であって、
高エネルギー放射線によって荷電イオンを形成することの可能な気体を充填した電離箱内の電極に正電圧を印加し、
前記正電圧により誘導されるイオン電流に関連する正イオン電流信号を測定し、
前記電極に負電圧を印加し、
前記負電圧により誘導されるイオン電流に関連する負信号を計測し、
前記イオン電流信号に基づいて前記高エネルギー放射線束の大きさを求めることを特徴とする、高エネルギー放射線束の測定方法。 - 前記高エネルギー放射線束の大きさを求める工程において、前記正イオン電流信号測定値の絶対値と前記負イオン電流信号測定値の絶対値の平均をとる、請求項1に記載の高エネルギー放射線束の測定方法。
- 前記正および負電圧の周波数が、前記電離箱内でイオン共振が生まれるような周波数である、請求項1に記載の高エネルギー放射線束の測定方法。
- 利得を求める工程を更に備える、請求項1に記載の高エネルギー放射線束の測定方法。
- 前記利得を求める工程において、前記2つの電極に傾斜電流(ramping current)を印加する、請求項4に記載の高エネルギー放射線束の測定方法。
- 高エネルギー放射線束の測定システムであって、
前記高エネルギー放射線束によってイオン化可能なイオン化可能材料を有する電離箱と、
前記電離箱内に配置された2つの電極と、
前記2つの電極に接続された回路とを備え、
前記回路は、前記2つの電極に交流駆動電圧を提供し、前記2つの電極間の電流を測定するよう構成されたことを特徴とする、高エネルギー放射線束の測定システム。 - 前記イオン化可能な材料が、ヘリウム-3、三弗化硼素、リチウム-6、ウラニウム‐233、ウラニウム‐235、プルトニウム‐239、およびこれらの化合物から選択された少なくとも一つを含む流体である、請求項6に記載の高エネルギー放射線束の測定システム。
- 水素材料でできたターゲットチェンバを更に備え、前記ターゲットチェンバが前記電離箱に近接して配置され、前記高エネルギー放射線が中性子放射線を含む、請求項6に記載の高エネルギー放射線束の測定システム。
