本発明者らは、前記課題を解決すべく鋭意研究を重ねた結果、90℃で30分間加熱したときに放出されるホルムアルデヒドを除く揮発性有機化合物の総量が10〜100重量ppmであるポリアセタール樹脂パウダー、又は、ペレット、又は成形体を用いることによってその目的を達成できることを見出し、この知見に基づいて本発明をなすに至った。
すなわち、本発明は、
1.90℃で30分間加熱したときに放出されるホルムアルデヒドを除く揮発性有機化合物の総量が、10〜100重量ppmであることを特徴とするポリアセタール樹脂、
2.更に、60℃で3時間加熱したときに放出されるホルムアルデヒド量が、10重量ppm以下であることを特徴とする上記1に記載のポリアセタール樹脂、
3.ポリアセタール樹脂が、酸化防止剤として立体障害性フェノールの少なくとも1種、熱安定剤としてホルムアルデヒド反応性窒素を含有する化合物および/または重合体の少なくとも1種、および蟻酸捕捉剤の少なくとも1種をそれぞれ含有していることを特徴とする上記1又は2に記載のポリアセタール樹脂、
4.該蟻酸捕捉剤が、アルカリ土類金属のカルボン酸塩であることを特徴とする上記3に記載のポリアセタール樹脂、
5.該ポリアセタール樹脂が、ポリオキシメチレンコポリマーであることを特徴とする上記1〜4のいずれかに記載のポリアセタール樹脂、
6.上記1〜5のいずれかに記載のポリアセタール樹脂から得られる成形体、
7.該成形体を90℃で30分間加熱したときに放出されるホルムアルデヒドを除く揮発性有機化合物の総量が、10〜100重量ppmであることを特徴とする成形体、
8.該成形体が、自動車部品である上記6または7に記載の成形体、
9.90℃で30分間加熱したときに放出されるホルムアルデヒドを除く揮発性有機化合物の総量が、10〜100重量ppmであるポリアセタール樹脂を製造する方法において、該ポリアセタールコポリマーペレットを真空ベント付き2軸押出機で必要な回数溶融脱揮することを特徴とするポリアセタール樹脂の製造方法。
10.60℃で3時間加熱したときに放出されるホルムアルデヒド量が、10重量ppm以下であるポリアセタール樹脂を製造する方法において、該ポリアセタールコポリマーペレットを真空ベント付き2軸押出機で必要な回数溶融脱揮することを特徴とする上記9記載のポリアセタール樹脂の製造方法。
