プリント回路基板のスルーホールに圧入されることで該スルーホールの内周に形成された接点部と電気的に接触可能な圧接部を備え、該圧接部は上記接点部に当接すべく両側に膨出形成した一対の当接部と、両当接部間を断面傾斜状に連結する連結部とからなり、上記圧接部をスルーホール内に挿入したとき上記連結部が折り畳まるように弾性変形して両当接部を上記接点部に弾性接触させるようにしたプレスフィット端子において、
上記当接部の外面には上記連結部の弾性変形に伴い当接部に作用する所要方向の捩れを規制するように上記接点部の内周に圧接される捩れ規制部を設けたことを特徴とするプレスフィット端子。
