ディスクに対して信号の記録動作及び再生動作の少なくとも1つを行う光ピックアップが備えられた光ピックアップ支持部材と、
外周面にネジ溝が形成されたリードスクリューと、
前記光ピックアップ支持部材に固定され、前記ネジ溝に噛合される歯部が形成された送り用噛合部材とを備えて構成される光ピックアップ送り装置であって、
前記送り用噛合部材は、その中途部における幅寸法の合計がその他の部分における幅寸法の合計よりも少なくなるような形状に形成されていることを特徴とする光ピックアップ送り装置。
