Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a pillow shape that can support all of the neck from the head when a person lies on his back.

Conventional pillows generally support only the head. Recently, pillows that support parts of the head and neck were also considered.

Due to the structure of the cervical vertebra that starts at the head and ends at the upper back, the conventional pillow cannot support all cervical vertebrae continuously, leaving a space between the cervix and the mattress. In addition, when all the cervical vertebrae are placed on the pillow, both shoulders are also placed on the pillow, resulting in the largest space between the neck and the pillow. As a result, the weight of the head and neck forced the neck or shoulders to become tense. The present invention relates to a pillow structure that eliminates these disadvantages and can support the entire cervical vertebra connected to the head and the upper back center and continuing to the thoracic vertebra.

The outer part on the side that supports the neck of the conventional pillow is arched to eliminate interference with the shoulder. Furthermore, the portion supporting the head was slightly recessed in an oval shape, and the portion supporting the neck from there was provided with a convex slope upward in accordance with the physiological curvature of the cervical spine. Furthermore, the central part of the slope was provided with a groove for lightly wrapping the neck.

The pillow completed by the present invention can support the head and all the cervical vertebrae that are continuous to the head and end at the upper back as a situation when a person lies back. Furthermore, since the slope adapted to the anatomical curvature of the cervical spine is used, the entire cervical part can be supported evenly. Also, unlike previous pillows, the shoulders are not lifted. As a result of the above, the tension applied to the neck and shoulders is remarkably attenuated, and it is possible to sleep.

This pillow is suitably formed using a sponge or a low repulsion material. In some cases, an air pillow using vinyl or the like is also conceivable. This pillow can be used not only for healthy people but also for people with neck pain and stiff shoulders.
