Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle headrest device used in a vehicle such as an automobile, and more particularly to an active type vehicle headrest device in which a headrest body is moved forward in the event of a rear-end collision of a vehicle.

As a conventional automobile seat back, there is one that protects the occupant's head at the time of a rear collision of the vehicle, for example, the seat back receives a dynamic load due to inertia that acts on the occupant at the rear of the vehicle, Accordingly, the movement of the displacing member is transmitted to the headrest support member, and the headrest body is moved forward of the vehicle, thereby preventing the occupant's head from moving backward greatly and protecting the cervical spine (for example, (See Patent Document 1).
JP 2003-159972 A (page 4, FIG. 6)

However, since the conventional vehicle headrest device transmits the displacement amount of the occupant moving backward at the time of a rear collision proportionally as the forward movement amount of the headrest body, the forward movement amount of the headrest body is the geometry of the initial collision. And is uniquely determined by the magnitude of the input load.

For this reason, when the rearward displacement of the occupant is small, the forward movement amount of the headrest body is also small, and the restraint timing of the occupant head moving backward due to the collision is delayed.

In Patent Document 1, a protector is provided at the input portion of the member that transmits the rearward movement amount of the occupant to the headrest support member. This protects the occupant's waist elastically. .

Accordingly, the present invention provides a vehicle headrest device that can secure a large amount of forward movement of the headrest body and accelerate the restraint timing of the occupant head even when the amount of backward movement of the occupant is small at the time of a rear collision. It is.

A vehicle headrest device according to the present invention supports a headrest body provided on an upper portion of a seat back and holding an occupant's head so as to be pivotable in a front-back direction on a seatback frame via a headrest support member. A load input unit that inputs a moving load of the occupant acting on the rear of the vehicle, and a rear displacement due to the moving load of the load input unit is transmitted to the headrest support member via a movement transmitting member, and the rear surface of the vehicle When the occupant moves backward in the event of a collision, the headrest body is moved forward of the vehicle via the movement transmission member and the headrest support member, and the load input to the load input portion of the movement transmission member The main feature is that an amplifying means for amplifying the rear displacement of the load input portion is provided.

According to the vehicle headrest device of the present invention, the amplifying means is provided in the load input portion of the movement transmitting member, and the rearward displacement of the load input portion due to the moving load input to the load input portion from the occupant moving backward due to a rear collision. Therefore, the amount of rotation of the headrest support member can be increased via the movement transmission member due to the amplified rearward displacement.

Therefore, even when the rearward movement amount of the occupant is small at the time of a rear collision, the frontward movement amount of the headrest body supported by the headrest support member is further increased, and the occupant head moving backward by inertial force is restrained more forwardly, As a result, there exists an advantage that a passenger | crew's head can be restrained earlier.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

1 to 3 show a first embodiment of a vehicle headrest device according to the present invention, FIG. 1 is a side view of the headrest device provided on the upper portion of the seat back, and FIG. 2 is a load input portion shown as A in FIG. FIG. 3 is a side view showing the operating state of the load input section.

A first embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is a vehicle headrest device (hereinafter simply referred to as a headrest device) 1 showing the basic structure of the present invention, and is provided on an upper portion of a seat back 2 to hold a head H of an occupant M. A headrest support member 4 that supports the headrest body 3 to be pivoted in the front-rear direction on the seatback frame 2a, and a load input for inputting a movement load F to the rear of the vehicle acting on the front surface 2b of the seatback 2 And a movement transmitting member 6 that transmits a rearward displacement due to the moving load F of the load input section 5 to the headrest support member 4.

When the occupant M moves backward due to inertial force at the time of a rear collision of the vehicle, the headrest body 3 is moved forward through the movement transmitting member 6 and the headrest support member 4 as shown by the broken line in FIG. Thus, the occupant's head H that moves backward by the inertial force at the time of a rear collision is restrained more forward, and the cervical vertebra is protected by preventing the head H from moving backward greatly.

That is, the headrest support member 4 is inserted into the holder 7 rotatably attached to the seat back frame 2a extending in the vehicle width direction along the upper side of the seat back 2 so that the vertical position can be adjusted from above. Yes, the headrest support member 4 can be rotated back and forth by rotating back and forth around the seat back frame 2 a of the holder 7, and the headrest support member 4 can be rotated forward and backward by the headrest support member 4. The headrest body 3 attached to the upper end of the head moves forward.

The movement transmitting member 6 has an upper end portion 6a fitted to the lower portion of the holder 7, an intermediate portion 6b bent in a square shape toward the front of the vehicle, and a lower end portion 6c extended to the vicinity of the back B of the occupant M. The load input part 5 is provided in the lower end part 6c.

In this embodiment, the load input unit 5 is provided with an amplifying means 10 for detecting the load input to the load input unit 5 by the rearward movement of the occupant M and amplifying the rear displacement of the load input unit 5. is there.

As shown in FIG. 2, the amplifying means 10 includes a base portion 11 coupled to the lower end portion of the movement transmitting member 6 and a load input portion 5 detachably disposed on the front surface (front surface of the vehicle body) of the base portion 11. An operating plate 12 and a spring 13 that is housed in a housing recess 11a formed on the side of the base plate 11 where the working plate 12 is disposed and applies a forward pressing force to the working plate 12 are provided.

An input detection unit 5A that detects an input load and separates the operation plate 12 from the base part 11 is provided in a substantially central portion of the front surface of the operation plate 12 so as to protrude from the input detection unit 5A. When the rearward movement load of the occupant M is input, the operating plate 12 is separated from the base portion 11, and by this separation, the operating plate 12 and the base portion 11 are separated by an urging force of the spring 13 as shown in FIG. 3. Sp separation is provided, and this interval Sp is an amount of amplification of the displacement amount of the load input unit 5.

4 to 6 show a specific structure of the amplifying means 10. The upper end of the operating plate 12 is pivotally attached to the base 11 so as to be pivotable in the front-rear direction (the pivot attachment point A1), and the lower end thereof. As the free end.

In this embodiment, a pair of left and right concave portions 11a formed in the base portion 11 is formed, and a spring 13 is installed in each of them so as to stably press the operating plate 12.

On the other hand, the input detection unit 5A is formed in an L shape by a vertical portion 5a extending downward from the input point P and a horizontal portion 5c extending rearward of the vehicle body with the lower end portion of the vertical portion 5a being a bent portion 5b. The vertical portion 5a is disposed in the cutout portion 12a cut downward from the central portion of the operation plate 12, and the bent portion 5b is pivotally attached to the inside of the lower end portion of the cutout portion 12a. Point A2).

Further, a flange portion K that protrudes upward is formed at the rear end portion of the horizontal portion 5c, and a locking portion 11b that engages and disengages the flange portion K is formed on the rear side of the lower end portion of the base portion 11, and is amplified. In the initial state (non-collision state) of the means 10, the collar portion K is locked to the locking portion 11b.

In other words, in this initial state, the pressing force of the spring 13 toward the front of the vehicle body acts on the horizontal portion 5c of the input detection portion 5A via the pivot point A2 of the operating plate 12, and the collar portion K acts on the locking portion 11b. Because of the pressure contact, the locking state of the collar portion K is maintained by the large frictional force generated at this time.

At this time, the input point P of the input detection unit 5A protrudes by a predetermined amount S from the front surface of the operation plate 12, as shown in FIG.

Therefore, the amplifying means 10 applies the inertial force of the occupant M (see FIG. 1) to the input point P of the input detection unit 5A in the initial state of FIG. When the pressing load F to the rear of the vehicle body is input, the input detection unit 5A rotates in the clockwise direction in the figure around the pivot point A2.

Then, the collar portion K is released downward from the locking portion 11b and is released from the locked state. As shown in FIG. 6C, the operating plate 12 is centered on the pivot point A1 by the biasing force of the spring 13. The base part 11 is rotated relative to the front of the vehicle body.

Therefore, the operating plate 12 and the base portion 11 are separated from each other with a rotation angle θ corresponding to the distance SP, and this rotation angle θ is a displacement input from the occupant M to the load input portion 5. It becomes the amount of amplification.

With the above configuration, the headrest device 1 according to the first embodiment is provided with the amplifying means 10 in the load input portion 5 of the movement transmitting member 6, and moves to be input to the load input portion 5 from the occupant M moving backward due to a rear collision. Since the rear displacement of the load input portion 5 due to the load is amplified by Sp, the amount of rotation of the headrest support member 4 can be increased via the movement transmission member 6 by the amplified rear displacement.

Therefore, even when the rearward movement amount of the occupant M is small at the time of a rear collision, the frontward movement amount of the headrest body 3 supported by the headrest support member 4 is increased by Sh (see FIG. 1) and moved backward by inertial force. Since the occupant's head H can be restrained more forwardly and, as a result, the occupant's head H can be restrained more quickly, the cervical spine protection effect of the occupant M can be enhanced.

7 to 9 show a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals and redundant description is omitted, and FIG. 7 is a side view of the amplifying means. 8 is a front view showing the right half of the amplifying means, and FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA in FIG. 8 showing the operating state of the amplifying means in order from (a) to (b). .

In the headrest device of the second embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the amplifying means 10a is provided with a holding mechanism 20 that holds the amplified state of the backward displacement.

The holding mechanism 20 is formed at a pair of engaging arms 21 projecting from the left and right side portions of the operation plate 12 along the left and right side surfaces of the base portion 11 toward the rear of the vehicle body, and at the front end portions of the left and right side surfaces of the base portion 11. And an engagement protrusion 22 protruding from a position corresponding to the engagement arm 21.

As shown in FIG. 9, the engagement arm 21 has an engagement recess 21 a formed on the inner surface of the front end portion (surface facing the base portion 11), and the operation plate 12 is opposed to the base portion 11 at the time of rear collision. When the operation plate 12 is rotated relatively forward, that is, when the operation plate 12 is operated, the engagement recess 21a is engaged with the engagement protrusion 22 to prevent the operation plate 12 from returning.

The engaging concave portion 21a has a front surface of a convex portion 21a 'raised on the front side of the vehicle body as an inclined surface whose amount of protrusion increases toward the rear of the vehicle body, and a rear surface of the engaging projection 22 is the convex portion 21a. And the concave shape of the engaging concave portion 21 a is formed substantially along the protruding shape of the engaging protrusion 22.

Then, during the operation of the operating plate 12 shown in FIG. 9B from the initial state shown in FIG. 9A, the convex portion 21a ′ of the engaging concave portion 21a gets over the engaging projection 22, and the engaging concave portion 21a is engaged. It engages with the joint protrusion 22.

At this time, the engagement surfaces of the engagement concave portion 21a and the engagement convex portion 22 are surfaces along the vehicle width direction (left-right direction in FIG. 9) so as to maintain the engagement state of both. The rotating state of the plate 12, that is, the amplified state is maintained.

Therefore, in this second embodiment, when the operation plate 12 rotates relative to the base portion 11 relative to the base portion 11 at the time of a rear collision, the engaging recess 21a of the engaging rod 21 becomes the engaging protrusion 22 of the base portion 11. And the return of the working plate 12 is prevented, so that the amount of amplification by the amplification means 10b is fixed and constant.

For this reason, since the headrest body 3 (see FIG. 1) restrains the occupant head H that moves backward and a large load is applied to the headrest body 3, the headrest body 3 can be prevented from returning. The portion H can be reliably restrained.

Further, since vibration caused by the spring 13 and the like can be eliminated, the increase Sh (see FIG. 1) of the forward movement amount of the headrest body 3 can be stably and maximized.

By the way, although the vehicle headrest device of the present invention has been described by taking the first to third embodiments as examples, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments, and various other embodiments are adopted without departing from the gist of the present invention. can do.
