Abstract

The present invention relates to an internal polling process for searching for an internal operation request in a mobile phone, and more particularly to a mobile phone that performs an intermittent operation of this polling process.
。 There is a mobile communication system that performs intermittent reception processing of whether there is an incoming call from a base station to a mobile station and cell search in synchronization with the timing of the mobile communication telephone network (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In the mobile communication system of
By the way, in the mobile communication system of the prior art described in
Also, the conventional internal operation polling process is performed at a constant cycle, and if the intermittent operation cycle is lengthened in order to further reduce power consumption, a transmission operation request for accessing the mobile communication telephone network is generated. At times, there is a problem that the access timing to the mobile communication telephone network is delayed and usability is deteriorated.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems. Regarding the polling process, the intermittent operation cycle is lengthened to further reduce power consumption, and the access timing to the mobile communication telephone network is delayed. It is another object of the present invention to provide a mobile phone that does not deteriorate usability.
In order to achieve the above object, the mobile phone according to the present invention periodically switches the timer for performing the following (a) to (b) and the polling processing means for performing the intermittent operation from the stop state to the operation state. A polling timing signal is generated. (B) A network synchronization timing signal synchronized with the mobile communication network is generated. The following (d) to (f) are provided, and the wake-up state is entered at the start of any one of (d) to (f), and all the operations from (d) to (f) are stopped. And (d) polling processing means for polling a call request of the mobile phone by intermittent operation and issuing a call instruction. (E) Wireless processing means for performing wireless processing for wireless communication with the mobile communication network. (F) Performing on / off control of a display unit that performs main display, and for the timer, when the display unit is in an on state, the period of the polling timing signal is set to a first period, and the display unit is in an off state. User interface processing means for setting the period of the polling timing signal to a second period longer than the first period. It is characterized by comprising.
According to the present invention, with respect to polling processing, the period of this intermittent operation is lengthened to further reduce power consumption, and a mobile phone without degradation in usability without delaying access timing to the mobile communication telephone network is provided. It becomes possible.

The “wake-up / sleep state” has various general-purpose forms for the purpose of power saving. For example, a form in which “power supply is turned on / off”, a form in which “high / low operation frequency is switched”, “ There is a form of performing “switching of all function operations / partial function operations”. Detailed description of these general-purpose forms will be omitted.

The

The timer 5 sends this timing as a network

In FIG. 2A, the condition for transitioning the control unit 6 to the wake-up state is the condition for starting the operation of the
In FIG. 2B, the conditions for transitioning the
When the operation starts, the
In addition, the
In FIG. 2C, the condition for transitioning the
When the
In FIG. 2D, the condition for transitioning the
When the operation starts, the
FIG. 3 is a time chart of the mobile phone. The mobile phone is in a standby state, and the timer 5 generates the network
The
The
Next, it is assumed that the lid closing 2a-1 of the folding cellular phone occurs between T2 and T3 of the polling timing signal 5a. When the lid closing 2a-1 occurs, the
Therefore, the timer 5 should originally output at T7, but if there is T5 of the network
From another viewpoint, the 5.12 second period between T3 and T7, which is the original timing of the polling timing signal 5a, is not an absolute interval but a maximum interval, and between T3 and T7, If a high-priority signal such as T5 of the network
Therefore, when the
Next, it is assumed that the lid opening 2a-2 of the folding cellular phone occurs at an arbitrary timing between T9 and T13 of the polling timing signal 5a. The
When the operation starts, the
Accordingly, after T13, the timer 5 generates T14 and T15 having a period of 1.28 seconds as the polling timing signal 5a.
(power consumption)
The power consumption will be described below. The
Therefore, the wake-up state of the control unit 6 is an OR state during operation of the
In general, even when the mobile phone is in a power-on state, the number of times when the lid is closed and the
(Usability)
Usability is described below. First, when the
Next, when the lid closing 2a-1 occurs, the
Further, when the lid opening 2a-2 occurs at an arbitrary timing between T9 and T13 by a user operation while the
Therefore, when a transmission request from the
As described above, according to the embodiment, when the
The period of the polling timing signal 5a is 1.28 seconds or 5.12 seconds. However, it is not necessary to fix the period, and it is sufficient that the long and short relations are matched.
