Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a control system for an in-vehicle gas sensor.
In a vehicle equipped with such a fuel cell such as a solid polymer membrane fuel cell, conventionally, prior to starting the vehicle and starting the fuel cell, a safety inquiry, for example, hydrogen supplied to the fuel electrode side of the fuel cell There is known a fuel cell vehicle and a starting method thereof for detecting that there is no leakage (for example, see Patent Document 1).
Here, as a hydrogen sensor for detecting hydrogen, for example, a gas detection element made of a catalyst such as platinum and a temperature compensation element are provided, and gas detection is performed by heat generated by combustion when hydrogen contacts the catalyst such as platinum. A gas that detects the concentration of hydrogen according to the difference in electrical resistance generated between the element and a temperature compensation element in a relatively low temperature state, such as at ambient temperature, when the element is in a relatively high temperature state. A catalytic combustion type hydrogen sensor is known.
By the way, in the fuel cell vehicle according to an example of the above-described prior art, the detection by the hydrogen sensor is started after the operation for starting the stopped vehicle, for example, the opening of the vehicle door or the like is executed. Yes. However, when the driver of the vehicle opens the vehicle door and gets into the vehicle, for example, when the switch for shifting the vehicle to a travelable state, such as an ignition switch, is turned on, detection by the hydrogen sensor, and this If the safety confirmation process or the like based on the detection result is not completed, the start of the fuel cell activation process is delayed, causing a problem that it is difficult to quickly start the vehicle.
In addition, in the gas contact combustion type hydrogen detector as described above, the temperature of the gas detection element and the temperature compensation element and the temperature of the atmosphere of each of these elements when the vehicle is stopped with the ignition switch turned off. As the temperature decreases, the temperature of each element may drop below the dew point temperature of the atmosphere, and condensation may occur on the surface of each element. In particular, in a fuel cell such as the above-described solid polymer membrane fuel cell, in order to maintain the ionic conductivity of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane, a reaction gas (for example, hydrogen or air) supplied to the fuel cell is used. Is mixed with water (humidified water) by a humidifier, etc., and further, reaction product water is generated by an electrochemical reaction when the fuel cell is operated. Therefore, off-gas discharged from the fuel cell, particularly off-gas on the oxygen electrode side Is a highly humid gas. Furthermore, in the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell described above, the normal operating temperature is lower than the vaporization temperature of water, and the offgas is discharged as a gas with a high humidity and a large amount of water. Even when the vehicle is in a stopped state where the operation of the fuel cell stops, there is a problem that moisture contained in the atmosphere of the gas detection element and the temperature compensation element is likely to condense. Here, when the gas contact combustion type hydrogen detector is provided in the exhaust system on the oxygen electrode side of the fuel cell in particular, humidified water, reaction product water, etc. are adhered on the surfaces of the gas detection element and the temperature compensation element. If energization is performed in a state, local temperature distribution nonuniformity occurs on the surface of the element, which may cause element destruction or sensitivity reduction.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a control system for an in-vehicle gas sensor capable of quickly starting a vehicle while preventing damage, deterioration, and deterioration in detection accuracy of the in-vehicle gas sensor. And
In order to solve the above-described problems and achieve the object, a vehicle-mounted gas sensor control system according to the first aspect of the present invention includes a start switch (for example, an embodiment) that shifts a stopped vehicle to a travelable state. The power supply (for example, the
According to the on-vehicle gas sensor control system having the above-described configuration, even when the vehicle is stopped, the power source that supplies power regardless of the on / off operation of the start switch including the ignition switch, for example, includes a hydrogen sensor or the like. A heater provided in the in-vehicle gas sensor is operable. In this state, for example, a keyless entry system or the like, the portable wireless device that has received a call signal transmitted from the in-vehicle wireless device within a predetermined range including the host vehicle returns a response signal, and the response signal is transmitted to the in-vehicle wireless device. Is received, the heater energization control means starts energizing the heater included in the in-vehicle gas sensor.
That is, when the driver carries the portable wireless device and approaches the vehicle, the heater provided in the in-vehicle gas sensor starts to operate, so that dew condensation occurs on the surfaces of the detection element and the compensation element of the in-vehicle gas sensor when the vehicle is stopped. Even before the start of energization of the detection element and the compensation element, the detection element and the compensation element are at least before the driver operates the ignition switch or the like to start the vehicle before starting the energization. It is possible to evaporate the condensed water on the surface of the water and prevent the occurrence of new dew condensation.
As a result, it is possible to prevent the on-vehicle gas sensor from being damaged, deteriorated, reduced in detection accuracy, etc. due to energization of each element with water adhering to the surfaces of the detection element and the compensation element. According to the control system for the in-vehicle gas sensor configured as described above, the energization to the heater can be started prior to the start of energization to the detection element and the compensation element. Even in a state where condensation occurs on the surface, the condensed water on the surface of the detection element and the compensation element is evaporated until the driver starts the vehicle by operating the ignition switch or the like. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of new condensation.
According to the control system for an in-vehicle gas sensor according to the first aspect of the present invention, even when dew condensation occurs on the surface of the detection element and the compensation element of the in-vehicle gas sensor when the vehicle is stopped, the detection element and the compensation Prior to the start of energization of the element, the dew condensation water on the surface of the detection element and the compensation element can be evaporated before the driver starts the vehicle, and new dew condensation can be prevented. In response to the turning-on operation of the start switch composed of an ignition switch or the like, energization to each element can be started immediately, and the vehicle can be started smoothly without hindering the operation and will of the driver.
Furthermore, according to the control system for an in-vehicle gas sensor according to the second aspect of the present invention, even if the dew condensation occurs on the surfaces of the detection element and the compensation element of the in-vehicle gas sensor when the vehicle is stopped, the driver However, it is possible to evaporate the dew condensation water on the surface of the detection element and the compensation element until the vehicle is started by operating the ignition switch or the like to the on state, and new dew condensation can be prevented.
Hereinafter, an in-vehicle gas sensor control system according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

For example, hydrogen is ionized on the catalyst electrode of the fuel electrode by a fuel gas such as hydrogen supplied from the fuel supply device (not shown) having a high-pressure hydrogen tank or the like to the fuel electrode via the inlet-side pipe 6, When moving to the oxygen electrode through the solid polymer electrolyte membrane humidified, the electrons generated in the meantime are taken out to an external circuit and used as DC electric energy. Since an oxidant gas such as oxygen or air is supplied to the oxygen electrode from an air compressor (not shown) via the
The flow rate of air supplied from the air compressor to the

The unlocking
As will be described later, the

The

For example, as shown in FIG. 5, a

For example, as shown in FIG. 6, a branch side in which a detection element 61 (resistance value R4) and a temperature compensation element 62 (resistance value R3) are connected in series, a fixed resistance 71 (resistance value R1), and a fixed
Here, when hydrogen, which is a gas to be detected, does not exist in the inspection target gas introduced into the
The

Furthermore, in addition to the temperature state in the
For example, when the load state of the

As a result, the hydrogen sensor 1 (1a, 1b) is damaged or deteriorated due to the energization of the
