バックドアと、該バックドアの表面よりも後方に突出するリアバンパと、該リアバンパの上壁部よりも上方に位置し、バックドアの下端部裏面と後部車体との間の隙間を塞ぐように車幅方向に延設されたボディーシール部とを備える車両の後部車体構造において、
上記バックドアの下端部の表面を覆うように樹脂製フィニッシャーが設けられ、
上記フィニッシャーとリアバンパとの後部表面が略面一に形成され、
上記フィニッシャーのリアバンパに対向する下壁部は、その前方側に、車幅方向に延びるように凹陥された衝撃吸収部を有し、後方側のみがリアバンパと近接するように構成されており、
上記衝撃吸収部のリアバンパに対向する面は、上記ボディーシール部よりも上方に位置していることを特徴とする車両の後部車体構造。
