Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus for forming an image on transfer paper, and more particularly to a technique for maintaining the surrounding environment in a good state.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, health damage problems such as sick house syndrome and chemical sensitivity have been attracting attention, and electronic devices used indoors are also harmful to the unique odors and VOCs generated by individual electronic devices in order to maintain a good environment. It is becoming necessary to consider the restrictions on the emission (chemical emission) of volatile chemical substances. In addition, electromagnetic waves generated from electronic devices increase the number of positive ions in the room, which causes the environment to deteriorate.
Conventionally, air around a photosensitive drum, a developing device, a fixing device, and the like in an image forming apparatus has been exhausted outside the apparatus by an exhaust fan through a filter. As a method for removing a compound with a filter, for example, JP 2001-350375 A describes that ozone is removed by providing an ozone filter for suction air at the suction air exhaust port.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2001-350375
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, there are things that cannot be absorbed by the filter, and chemical emissions are generated not only by the construction materials such as the device frame, but also when the transfer paper, developing toner, fixing oil, etc. are heated by the fixing device, etc. There is a high probability that it is discharged with the transfer paper and stays at a high concentration on the still warm transfer paper. It can also have an adverse effect on the overall environment of the room.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For this reason, a negative ion generator is provided in the image forming apparatus, thereby decomposing or detoxifying the chemical emission material and further negatively ionizing the surrounding air in which positive ions are increased so as to have a good surrounding environment. If the main purpose is to cope with chemical emissions that stay in the vicinity of the image forming device, such as the discharge port, the capacity of the negative ion generator will be relatively small, and it will operate according to the operation of the image forming device. It is also possible to set so as to.
[0006]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 is a sectional view of an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a diagram for explaining the operation thereof.
When a copy start signal is output, for example, when the copy button is pressed, the transfer paper is fed from the paper feed unit 1, and the toner image formed on the photosensitive drum 5 by the developing unit 4 in the transfer unit 3 through the conveyance path 2. Is fixed by the fixing device 6 and discharged and stacked on the tray 8 from the paper discharge port 7. A negative ion generator 9 is disposed in the vicinity of the paper discharge port 7 so as to release negative ions into a space on the transfer paper loaded on the tray 8, and is transferred by a paper discharge sensor 10 disposed at the paper discharge port 7. When the passage of paper is detected, the negative ion generator 9 is set to be turned on and operated for a certain time (T seconds) from that point. Further, when the number of transfer sheets that have passed through the paper discharge sensor 10 reaches a preset number (N) within a preset time (t seconds), the time is longer than the preset time (T seconds). (T 1 second) The negative ion generator is turned on. This time (T 1 second) is canceled when the negative ion generating device is turned off, and then the transfer paper passes through the paper discharge sensor 10. After the negative ion generating device is turned on, the previous set time (T seconds) is used. It is turned off after a lapse.
[0007]
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, an odor sensor 11 for detecting the odor of the air near the tray 8 is provided, and the negative ion generator 9 can be turned on while the odor sensor 11 detects the odor. (FIG. 4 is an operation explanatory diagram).
[0008]
If it is an odor sensor that can detect a specific odor generated from the image forming apparatus, the negative ion generator 9 can be operated more efficiently.
[0009]
FIG. 5 is also a front view of the image forming apparatus according to the embodiment of the present invention. This is an example in which the discharge port of the transfer paper is disposed at a deep position, and the chemical emission material is more easily stagnated.
[0010]
In the present embodiment, an electron emission type using an ionization needle is assumed, but a water ionization type or a corona discharge type may be used in principle. However, since the corona charging method generates a little ozone, it is preferable to arrange it for use in a sealed apparatus.
[0011]
【The invention's effect】
In this way, the negative ion generator is used to neutralize positive ions in the air on the tray 8 with negative ions and to decompose chemical emission substances such as VOC and odorous substances, thereby forming an image forming apparatus. The environment around the can be kept in good condition. If chemical emission materials are left as they are, they will spread throughout the room, so it is important to reduce emissions from these electronic devices, and they will come out of the device together when the transfer paper is discharged. It is possible to disassemble and detoxify things before they can diffuse all around.
[0012]
Negative ions also relax the mood and have a positive effect on work efficiency.
[0013]
A method of arranging tourmaline ore in the vicinity of the tray 8 is also conceivable. Tourmaline ores act on moisture in the air by light and generate negative ions, so it is necessary to arrange them so that external light can enter. However, in a situation where it is difficult for outside light to enter, it is possible to use a small illumination instead, and a method of performing ON / OFF control as in this embodiment is also conceivable.
[Brief description of the drawings]
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a partial cross-sectional view of an embodiment provided with an odor sensor. FIG. 3 is an operation explanatory view of an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 5 is a front view of another embodiment of the present invention.
