Description

The present invention relates to a non-twisted yarn-like twisted yarn made of 100% cotton fiber suitable for towel fabrics and a method for producing a non-twisted yarn-like twisted yarn.

Since the untwisted yarn is soft to the touch and has high water absorption, it is considered that an ideal towel fabric can be obtained by using a 100% cotton untwisted yarn as the raw yarn for the towel fabric. However, untwisted yarn is not twisted, so the tensile strength of the yarn is extremely low. When used as a raw material yarn for fabrics, yarn breakage is likely to occur due to tension and friction applied to the yarn in the weaving process. It had the disadvantage that the mechanical strength was extremely weak. In order to cope with this drawback, a conventional method for producing untwisted yarn includes winding a yarn obtained by mixing cotton fiber and soluble polyvinyl alcohol-based synthetic fiber at a predetermined ratio onto cheese, followed by steam treatment to produce soluble polyvinyl alcohol. After weaving the woven fabric with roasted yarn in which the surface of the synthetic fiber is swollen and gelatinized and the fibers are sandwiched, the fabric is washed with water to remove the soluble polyvinyl alcohol-based synthetic fiber, thereby pulling the tensile strength of the roving yarn To prevent yarn breakage during weaving (for example, see Patent Document 1). In addition, twisted fiber bundles and synthetic fiber filament yarns that are remarkably thinner than these fibers are lined up and twisted in the opposite direction to the fiber bundles to form a substantially non-twisted fiber bundle on the outer periphery. A fiber strand yarn is used to form a wall twist, and after weaving a towel fabric with this wall twist yarn, soaping treatment is performed to remove the water-soluble synthetic fiber filament yarn and prevent untwisted fiber bundles from being loosened. Has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 2 and Non-Patent Document 1).

The invention described in Patent Document 1 has the advantage that soluble polyvinyl alcohol is interposed between fibers and adhesively bonds the fibers to each other to increase the tensile strength of the yarn during weaving. The fabric after removing the vinyl alcohol has a problem that the amount of fluff is remarkably large and the fluff easily falls off due to friction during washing or use, resulting in poor durability. In particular, when used in a towel fabric in which a pile is formed on at least one of the front and back surfaces, thread breakage and fluffing of the pile portion during use are significant. This is presumably because the fibers have never been twisted, and when the polyvinyl alcohol that is interposed between the fibers and bonded to the fibers is removed, a gap is formed between the fibers.
Further, in the inventions described in Patent Document 2 and Non-Patent Document 1, a synthetic fiber filament yarn, which is a long fiber, is wound around the outer periphery of a non-twisted fiber bundle in order to prevent the fiber bundle from being scattered, and is mainly woven or knitted. This is used for napped products that are incised afterwards to make a brushed finish. If a towel fabric is woven with yarns described in Patent Document 2 or Non-Patent Document 1, the number of twists of the core yarn is zero. There is a problem that the core yarn is likely to fluff, and the synthetic fiber is used for the entangled yarn, so that the water absorption is reduced.
The problem to be solved by the present invention is that a non-twisted yarn exclusively for towel fabrics that maintains the soft feel and high water absorption of the non-twisted yarn without using any chemical substances such as soluble vinyl alcohol and has excellent durability. Is to provide. In order to solve the above problems, the present inventor has conducted various tests such as the optimal number of twists as a non-twisted yarn dedicated to towel fabrics, and has come up with the present invention.

The invention according to claim 1 of the present invention uses a twisted fiber bundle as a core yarn, and twists a fiber bundle that is twisted in the same direction as the core yarn and a fiber bundle remarkably thinner than the core yarn as an entanglement yarn. In the non-twisted yarn-like twisted yarn, the core yarn and the entangled yarn are made of 100% cotton fiber, and the number of twists per inch is 23 to 25 times per one inch. It is characterized by being twisted in a coil shape with twisted entangled yarn.
The invention according to claim 2 is characterized in that a fiber bundle made of 100% cotton fiber having a twist number of 11 times and less than 12 times per inch is used as a core yarn, and the twist number per inch is 33, which is remarkably finer than the fiber bundle. ~ 35 times a fiber bundle made of 100% cotton fiber is used as an entangled yarn, and the core yarn and the entangled yarn are aligned so that the twist direction is the same direction, and then the twist direction of the core yarn and the entangled yarn Twisting in the opposite direction 10 times and twisting back, the core yarn is formed in a non-twisted shape with about 1 twist per inch, and the number of twists per inch around the core yarn is 23- 25 entangled yarns are wound in a coil shape to form a wall twist.

The non-twisted yarn-like twisted yarn of the present invention is made of 100% cotton fiber without using any chemical substance, and therefore has a touch and high water absorption that are indispensable for towel fabrics. The amount and fluff fall are also reduced, and there is an effect of having durability.
The method for producing a non-twisted yarn-like twisted yarn according to the present invention has the effect that the number of steps can be reduced because it is not necessary to soap the woven product, and the cost can be reduced and the production time can be shortened.
In addition, it can be manufactured using existing spinning equipment without requiring special equipment.

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
1 is an explanatory view showing the relationship between a twisted core yarn and a twisted entangled yarn, FIG. 2 is an explanatory view showing a state in which the core yarn and the entangled yarn are aligned, and FIG. 3 is a completed untwisted yarn. It is expansion explanatory drawing of a like twisted yarn.
First, 100% cotton fiber is used as the raw fiber, and the sliver is homogenized by making the cotton fiber parallel with a drawing machine to make a drawn sliver. This strip sliver is right-twisted (S-twisted) with a fine spinning machine to make a 1 / 20th core yarn 1 twisted 11 times per inch. On the other hand, after using 100% cotton fiber apart from the core yarn and making a sliver sliver with a drawing machine, this sliver sliver is right-twisted (S-twisted) with a fine spinning machine and twisted 34 times per inch. Make 1/80 count entanglement thread 2. As shown in FIG. 1, one core yarn 1 and one entangled yarn 2 are aligned in parallel so that the twisting directions are the same, and supplied to a twisting machine. As shown in FIG. 2, the two yarns 1 and 2 aligned by the twisting machine are twisted 10 times in the left twist direction opposite to the twist direction of these single yarns, The entanglement yarn 2 is twisted back. The 11-time right-twisted core yarn 1 is twisted back to become a 1 / 20th yarn in the state of one twisted untwisted yarn per inch in the right direction. The 34-twisted right-twisted entanglement yarn 2 is twisted back into a 1 / 80th yarn that is twisted 24 times in the right direction per inch, and as shown in FIG. 3, the core yarn is twisted once in the right direction per inch. 1 was coiled to obtain a wall twisted yarn.
The surface state of the obtained untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn was observed with a microscope. As shown in the photomicrograph of FIG. 4A, it can be seen that the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example has few fluff on the surface. For comparison, the water-soluble vinyl alcohol was removed by washing the wall-twisted yarn in which a water-soluble vinyl alcohol yarn was wound in a coil shape on a twisted and untwisted cotton fiber bundle. The surface of the untwisted yarn was observed with a microscope. As shown in the micrograph of FIG. 4B, the surface of the untwisted yarn of the conventional example was conspicuous, and the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example was found to be effective in reducing the fluff.

試験例1Test example 1

For the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example, the pile retention rate was tested by the JIS L1075B method. A towel fabric of double-sided pile was woven using the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example, and one pile yarn at the center of the test piece taken from the towel fabric was hung on the hook attached to the upper grip, and the grip interval was set. About 10 cm, the other end was gripped by the lower grip, and the pile yarn between the test pieces of 5 cm was pulled out at a tensile speed of 30 ± 2 cm / min until the pile disappeared, the maximum resistance was measured to 1 mN, and the average value of 10 times was obtained. . As a result, the towel fabric woven using the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example was 1850 (mN). For comparison, the same test was performed on the towel fabric of Non-Patent Document 1 described above. As a result, it was 1534 (mN). From the above test results, it was found that the pile retention rate of the towel fabric woven with the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example was improved by 20% compared to the towel fabric using the untwisted yarn of the conventional example.

試験例2Test example 2

About the towel fabric woven with the non-twisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example, the test for the hair removal rate (fluffing) was conducted by the JIS L103 method. A test piece collected from a towel fabric woven with a non-twisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example is used as a sample, and the bath ratio is 1/30 in a washing solution put in a ratio of 2 g of phosphorus-free detergent to 1 l of 40 ° C. hot water. So that it can be dehydrated for 2 minutes after being washed for 5 minutes in a household 2-tank electric washing machine, rinsed with room temperature water for 2 minutes, then dehydrated twice for 2 minutes, drained with a cloth, collected and dried. The weight was measured. The towel fabric woven with the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example obtained a test result of 0.47 g for the first time and 0.049 g for the second time. For comparison, the same test was performed on the towel fabric of Non-Patent Document 1. As a result, a test result of 0.104 g for the first time and 0.067 g for the second time was obtained. From the above test results, it was found that the towel fabric woven with the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example has a hair removal rate of about 50% less than that of the non-patent document 1.

試験例3Test example 3

The towel fabric woven with the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example was subjected to a water absorption test by the JIS L1096C method. Three pieces of 10 x 10 cm test pieces were collected from a towel fabric woven with non-twisted yarn-like yarns, floated in a water bath containing water at a water temperature of 20 ± 2 ° C, and until the test pieces became wet and began to settle in water. Time was measured. The towel woven with the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example obtained a test result of 2.1 seconds. For comparison, the same test was performed on the towel fabric of Non-Patent Document 1. The result was 1.8 seconds. From the above test results, the towel woven with the untwisted yarn-like twisted yarn of this example had a slow start of settling for 0.3 seconds compared to the towel fabric of the conventional example, but this value is a slight difference. It was found that the towel fabric woven with the non-twisted yarn-like twisted yarn has high water absorption. The towel fabric of the conventional example is considered to be due to a slight decrease in denseness due to the formation of a gap between the yarns of the towel fabric by removing the soluble vinyl alcohol by the soaping process.
