空気調和機の室外機において、その本体は例えば図1に示すような底板(ベース)1と、外胴からなり、この外胴は左側板2aが一体に形成された前面カバー2と、L字状に形成された右側板3と、上面カバー4等で構成されており、本体内は底板1上に立設された仕切板5によって熱交換室6と機械室7とに区画され、熱交換室6には熱交換器8と、同熱交換器8により熱交換された空気を外部に送出する送風ファン9が配置され、一方の機械室7にはその下部に圧縮機10が配置され、その上方に圧縮機10および送風ファン(送風機)9等の運転制御を行う電装品を収めた電装部11が配置されている。

以下、本発明の実施の形態を図1〜図4に基づいて説明する。
図1は空気調和機の室外機の概略構成を示したもので、同室外機の本体は底板(ベース)1と、外胴からなり、この外胴は左側板2aと連続して形成された前面カバー2と、L字状に形成された右側板3と、上面カバー4等で構成されており、本体内は底板1上に立設された仕切板5によって熱交換室6と機械室7とに区画され、熱交換室6には熱交換器8と、同熱交換器8により熱交換された空気を外部に送出する送風ファン9が配置され、一方の機械室7にはその下部に圧縮機10が配置され、その上方に圧縮機10および送風ファン(送風機)9等の運転制御を行うための電装品を収めた電装部11が配置されている。

以上説明したような構成からなる電装部であれば、シール材等の補助部材が不要であるため組立が容易であるとともにコストの低減が図れ、更に、リード線が傷ついたり、外部から水が侵入する恐れもないので、室外機の品質および安全性の向上にも寄与する。
