【従来の技術】
従来、大型ポスターや大型広告宣伝シート等を作製するために用いられるこの種の描画装置としては、ドラムに感光シート材(印画紙や感光フィルム)を真空吸着機構をもって吸着しつつ、露光機から光を照射して、描画する描画装置が知られている。
あるいは、ドラムの内部に往復アクチュエータを設けると共に、感光シート材の端縁をドラム表面に固定するくわえ爪を設け、このくわえ爪を上記アクチュエータにて作動させ、感光シート材をドラムに固定して露光機から光をこれに照射して描画する描画装置も知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述した従来の第1の描画装置では、大型ドラムを超高精度に加工する必要があり製作が極めて難しく効果なものとなっていた。また、真空ポンプ等を必要として装置が複雑化すると共に、ドラム上の吸着領域(面積)の変更ができない等の問題があり、大小種々の感光片に対応することができなかった。また、従来の第2の描画装置では、予め決まった寸法の感光シート材ならば、くわえ爪にて掴持できるが、寸法が大小変化する用途には対応できず、かつ、アクチュエータとそれに付属する複雑なリンク機構を要し、かつ、全体の設置面積は大きいという多くの問題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そこで、本発明に係る描画装置は、ロール状に巻設された未感光の感光シート材を繰出す繰出部と、該繰出部から繰出される上記感光シート材を切断して未感光の感光枚葉片を作るカッタと、該感光枚葉片を往動・復動両方向に送りを与える描画ローラ機構と、該描画ローラ機構の近傍位置で上記感光枚葉片に対して照射部から照射する露光機と、該露光機の照射部の位置を上記描画ローラ機構によって往動通過させた上記感光枚葉片を上方へ弯曲させて弓型に保持する弓型保持部とを、具備し、該弓型保持部から上記感光枚葉片を復動させて上記照射部の照射によって該感光枚葉片に描画するよう構成した。
また、描画ローラ機構が、感光枚葉片の表て面と裏面に当接可能な上ローラ・下ローラから成る2つの挾圧ローラ対を備え、かつ、2つの該挾圧ローラ対の中間位置を上記照射部の位置に対応させると共に、2つの該挾圧ローラ対を感光枚葉片に対して択一的に挾圧作動するよう切換える切換手段を備えている。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図示の実施の形態に基づき本発明を詳説する。
図1の側面図に於て、上流側の描画装置Bと、下流側の現像装置Cを直列状に並べて設置した場合を示し、図2はその描画装置Bのみを示し、図3〜図10は作動説明(作用説明)を兼ねた要部側面図である。

現像装置Cは、多数の送りローラ群1…と、現像液を入れた貯蔵槽2…等を備えた、従来公知の装置である。そして、描画装置Bは、ロール体3として(ロール状に)巻設された長尺状の未感光の感光シート材Sを繰出す繰出部4,4を、ケーシング(箱体)5の上流端(図の右端)の上下に2個備えており、一方の繰出部4のロール体3が所定径以下となれば他方の繰出部4から繰出されるように、交互に切換可能である。感光シート材Sとしては、印画紙やフィルム材から成り、その材質や構成は種々のものを使用できる。

上下の繰出部4,4の出口4aの外側の近傍には、カッタ6がそれぞれ配設されている。このカッタ6は、繰出部4から繰出される(未感光の)感光シート材Sを切断して、感光枚葉片S を作製する。

例えば、感光シート材Sの幅寸法(図面の紙面に直交方向の寸法)は、5インチ(約 130mm)〜20インチ(約 510mm)のものを、上記繰出部4に設置される。そして、感光枚葉片S としての(幅寸法×長さ寸法)は、例えば、最小(5インチ×7インチ)=約( 130mm× 180mm)〜最大(20インチ×30インチ)=約( 510mm× 760mm)のものが切断にて形成され、後述のようにこのような大きな寸法差のある感光枚葉片S に、描画を行うことができる。

7は第1送込路であり、上方の繰出部4から繰出されて上方のカッタ6にて切断された感光枚葉片S を、上下一対のローラから成る合流ローラ対9まで搬送するガイドローラ対10…と、ガイド受板11等から、構成される。他方、8は第2送込路であり、下方の繰出部4から繰出されて下方のカッタ6にて切断された感光枚葉片S を、上記合流ローラ対9まで搬送するガイドローラ対10…と、ガイド受板11等から、構成される。第1送込路7と第2送込路8は、合流ローラ対9の位置にて、合流する側面視形状であり、この合流ローラ対9の下流側(図の左方向側)の近傍に、昇降ユニット12が配設される。

具体的には、描画ローラ機構Eは、感光枚葉片S の表て面と裏面に当接可能な上ローラ・下ローラから成る2つの挾圧ローラ対13, 14を、備えている。
この描画ローラ機構Eの近傍位置で(未感光の)感光枚葉片S に対して照射部16から、レーザ光又はLED光、若しくは、それ以外の感光用光線を、照射する露光機(露光ユニット)15が、設けられている。
即ち、描画ローラ機構Eの2つの挾圧ローラ対13, 14の中間位置───好ましくは中央位置───に、照射部16の位置(光軸Lの位置)が、対応する。しかも、上流側(図の右側)の挾圧ローラ対13と、下流側(図の左側)の挾圧ローラ対14を、感光枚葉片S に対して択一的に挾圧作動するように切換える切換手段Dを、備えている。

この切換手段Dは、例えば、水平状の枢軸17廻りに微小角度揺動(シーソー運動)するように取付けられた揺動部材18と、この揺動部材18を枢軸17廻りに揺動して切換えるための(図示省略した)ソレノイド等のアクチュエータと、(前述の)挾圧ローラ対13,14の上ローラ13a, 14aを上記揺動部材18に対して回転自在かつ上下小寸法可動としつつ弾発的に下方へ付勢したバネ付き軸受部材等にて、構成される。従って、本発明に於て、択一的に挾圧作動するとは、切換の途中では、上記切換手段Dのバネによって、2つの挾圧ローラ対13, 14が共に挾圧作動している状態が、存在しても、良いものとする。このように、共に挾圧作動している状態を意図的に設けることによって、後述の描画中(露光中)にも、感光枚葉片S を、(一旦停止したり、送り速度に変化を与えることなく)高精度に送ることが、可能となる。

そして、19は露光機15を下流側から包囲するように(略)弓型に形成された弓型保持部であり、この弓型保持部19は、未照射状態の露光機15の照射部16の位置を、一旦通過した(未感光の)感光枚葉片S を、上方へ(起立状に)弯曲させて、弓型に保持する部分である。つまり、描画ローラ機構Eによって、照射部16の光軸Lを越えて、往動通過させられた(未感光の)感光枚葉片S は、露光機(露光ユニット)15を、下流側の側方から包囲するように弓型に弯曲した状態に、露光工程直前状態では、保持されている。

具体的には、(弓型に弯曲又は折曲状の)内板20と外板21をもって、側面視円弧状(弓型)の収納空室部Fを形成し、この収納空室部Fに、一旦、未感光の(一枚の)感光枚葉片S を収納する。従って、弓型保持部19は、内板20と収納空室部Fと外板21等から、構成されている。
その後、弓型保持部19から未感光の感光枚葉片S を復動させて、作動中の露光機15の照射部16の描画光線の照射によって、感光枚葉片S に描画することができる。

そして、弓型保持部19の下方位置に、描画した後の(露光済みの)感光枚葉片S を(図の左方向へ)排出する排出路Gを、配設する。排出路Gには、アキュムレータ手段22と排出ローラ対23と、ガイドプレート24…等を具備し、露光済みの感光枚葉片S を、下流(図1参照)の現像装置Cへ搬送する。
アキュムレータ手段22は、図10に示すように、支軸25廻りに揺動自在に枢着された上下開閉部材28と、これを上下揺動させて開閉させる作動機構29等から、成る。また、図例では、下ローラ30が上下開閉部材28に付設され、上方へ揺動して閉じた状態で下ローラ30に当接する上ローラ31が(固定側に)設けられ、上下ローラ31, 30をもってガイドローラ対を形成している。

アキュムレータ手段22は、現像装置Cと描画装置Bの送りスピード差を吸収する作用をなす。つまり、図1と図10等に示すように、上下開閉部材28が下方へ開放されると、露光済み(感光後)の感光枚葉片S は、U字状に垂れ下がって、現像装置Cの送りスピードが描画装置Bの排出スピードよりも、小さくても、このアキュムレータ手段22にて、吸収される構成である。

そして、昇降ユニット12は、感光枚葉片S ,S を挾圧自在な上下2つの挾持ローラ対32, 33を有する。34は上下往復動自在に図示省略の駆動手段にて切換えられる昇降枠であり、上下挾持ローラ対32, 33が上下所定間隔にて設けられ、さらに、この昇降ユニット12は、繰出部4と露光機15の間であって、露光機15及び排出路Gの上流端側に、配設されている。

描画用上方送路Hは、前述した照射部16・弓型保持部19へ(未感光の)感光枚葉片S を送るための送路であり、この描画用上方送路Hと、下方の排出路Gに、切換えるために昇降ユニット12は、図示省略の駆動機構によって(上下方向に)昇降する。

昇降ユニット12の2つの挾持ローラ対32, 33の内の下方のローラ対33は、描画用(露光用)上方送路Hと下方の排出路Gに交互に切換えられる。即ち、図7〜図9に示すように描画用上方送路Hに対応した上昇位置と、図10と図3〜図6に示すように下方の排出路Gに対応した下降位置に、下方のローラ対33は、切換えられる。

この下方のローラ対33の切換え作動と同時に、上方のローラ対32は、図7〜図9に示したような遊び上方位置Kと、図10と図3〜図6に示すような描画用上方送路Hに切換えられる。従って、描画用上方送路Hから弓型保持部19へ1枚の感光枚葉片S を送る工程中に、既に描画された(描画後)感光枚葉片S を排出路Gから排出して現像装置Cへ送るように構成されている(図10参照)。

そして、昇降ユニット12の上下2つの挾持ローラ対32, 33の内の下方のローラ対33は、既に描画(露光)された感光枚葉片S の先端35───繰出部4から送り出される先端側を指す───を、図9に示すように、挾持し、その挾持状態のままで、矢印Nのように昇降ユニット12を下降させて、描画用上方送路Hから下方の排出路Gの対応位置まで、上記下方ローラ対33は、下降する。

図1と図2に示すように、描画後の感光枚葉片S はその先端35が、下方ローラ部33にて挾持されつつ垂れ下がった状態を(矢印Mにて)示している。ケーシング5には、このように垂れ下がった状態の感光枚葉片S の自由垂下面側Mを収納する空間室部36を有している。これによって、描画後の感光枚葉片S の露光面に小さな傷等を与えることを防止できる。

次に、本発明に係る上述の描画装置の作用(作動)を主として工程順に説明し、さらに、具体的な構成についても追加説明する。
図1と図2と図3に於て、図の右側の2つの繰出部4,4からは、いずれか一方から未感光の感光シート材Sが繰出されてゆくが、図3では、上側の繰出部4から所定長さ分を搬送する(繰出しする)。その後、カッタ6にて所定長さに切断し、図3から図4に示す如く、第1送込路7を経て、合流ローラ対9の間、さらに、(下降位置に在る)昇降ユニット12の上方の挾持ローラ対32の間、描画ローラ機構Eを経て、図5に示すように、弓型保持部19まで搬入する(送りを与える)。

描画ローラ機構Eとしては、図5と図6の左側の挾圧ローラ対14にて、未感光の感光枚葉片S の後端を挾持している。即ち、図6は図5の要部拡大図であるが、揺動部材18を(図示省略のアクチュエータにて)揺動させて、上流側(図の右側)の挾圧ローラ対13は開放状態で感光枚葉片S には接触せず、下流側(図の左側)の挾圧ローラ対14にて、感光枚葉片S の後端を挾持している。

37はセンサであり、Pは感光枚葉片S の後端の停止位置範囲(停止ゾーン)を示す。未感光の感光枚葉片S の後端は、上記センサ37によって、検出され、直ちに搬送停止、又は、予め設定した規定長さ分を、送ってから搬送停止を、行う。このようにして、感光枚葉片S は、停止位置範囲(停止ゾーン)Pに停止する。露光ユニット光軸Lは、この停止位置範囲(停止ゾーン)Pの左端(下流端)に、対応している。つまり、図6に於て、感光枚葉片S の後端に僅かの余白を形成する位置、又は、全く余白無しで描画(露光)を開始する位置で、上記感光枚葉片S は、停止する。

以上の工程中、昇降ユニット12は下降位置にあり、上方のローラ対32が搬送(送り)を行っていた。その後、図6から図7のように、昇降ユニット12を矢印Qのように上昇させて、下方のローラ対33を描画用上方送路Hに対応させ、弓型保持部19に保持されている感光枚葉片S を、描画ローラ機構Eの左側(下流側)の挾圧ローラ対14にて、逆方向(矢印R方向)に搬送を開始して、照射部16から描画光線を照射して、描画(露光)を開始する。このように描画工程の開始時には、右側(上流側)の挾圧ローラ対13はスキマT13を有し(開いていて)、搬送には寄与しない。つまり、切換手段Dによって、一方の上ローラ14aが、露光開始直後に於て、感光枚葉片S を挾圧するが、他方の上ローラ13aは搬送に関与しないで、開放状態を保つ。

しかるに、図8に示すように、一定速度の矢印R方向への搬送中に、切換手段Dによって、一方の上ローラ14aを開放状態とし、同時に、他方の上ローラ13aを感光枚葉片S に挾圧状に接触させる。スキマT14が、図8では、下流側(左側)の挾圧ローラ対14に生じる。

このように、原則的に2つの挾圧ローラ対13, 14の内のいずれか一方のみをもって、搬送するので、感光枚葉片S ,S にシワを生じさせず、傷を付けず、均一な速度で、送りを与えることが可能となり、しかも、感光枚葉片S ,S の先端と後端の露光を可能としている。即ち、図6に示した停止位置範囲Pに於て、一旦左方向に送られた感光枚葉片S の後端が、2つの挾圧ローラ対13, 14の中間位置で、停止していた場合、(図6とは相違して)左側のローラ対14が開放されてかつ右側のローラ対13が閉じている(挾圧可能な)状態であれば、送りの開始が不可能である。つまり、本発明では、図6で述べたように、後端の露光を可能としている。

他方、図8に示したように露光(描画)工程中に於て、(図8とは相違して)右側のローラ対13が開放されてかつ左側のローラ対14が閉じている(挾圧可能な)状態であれば、感光枚葉片S (S )を最後まで搬出できない。つまり、先端に送りを与えられない状態が、最後に発生する。本発明では、図8に示したように、右側のローラ対13が閉じて作動しているので、最後まで搬出できるという利点がある。

要するに、露光中に感光枚葉片S ,S を搬送する描画ローラ機構Eは、2つの挾圧ローラ対13, 14の内の一方のみをもって搬送をなす。但し、両挾圧ローラ対13, 14の切換途中には、両方のローラ対13, 14が短い時間、同時に挾圧状態(搬送力伝達の状態)にある。

このような構成による利点としては、上述の利点の他に、露光中に感光枚葉片S ,S に、描画ローラ機構Eの誤差によるストレス(歪)を与えず、滑らかに高精度の送りを均一に与えることで、高品質の描画を実現している。
しかも、枢軸17を中心として、揺動部材18を(図示省略の駆動機構によって)切換えることで、2つのローラ対13, 14を交互に(択一的に)挾圧状態に容易に切換できる。

次に、昇降ユニット12の下側の挾持ローラ対33は、図8に示す如く、露光中、開放状態とする───つまり、スキマT33を有する。この挾持ローラ対33の上下のローラの内の一方を、微小寸法だけ上下動させる切換駆動機構(図示省略)を設けている。このようにすれば、露光中、感光後の感光枚葉片S への(排出用)挾持ローラ対33の影響を排除できる。つまり、挾持ローラ対33の速度誤差等によって、感光枚葉片S に、ストレス(歪)を与えることを防止できて、滑らかな送りを与えて、高い品質の描画を可能とする。

次に、図8から図9に示すように、露光が終了すると、(上述のように開放していた)挾持ローラ対33を閉じて、先端35を挾持する。そして、感光枚葉片S の先端35が(図の右方へ)通過したことを、センサ37が感知(検出)すると、搬送を停止して、感光枚葉片S の先端35を、下方の挾持ローラ対33にて挾持した状態で、矢印Nのように下降させ、図10に示すように、下方の排出路Gに、下方の挾持ローラ対33、及び、感光枚葉片S の先端35を、対応させ、かつ、上方の挾持ローラ対32を描画用上方送路Hに対応させ、図10に示した初期の位置に昇降ユニット12がもどる。

その後、露光済み感光枚葉片S は、図10と図1に示すように、駆動モータ38によって回転駆動される挾持ローラ対33により、自動現像装置Cに搬送するが、このとき、アキュムレータ手段22が開き、露光済み感光枚葉片S は、アキュムレータ手段22の収容空間22Aに高速で排出される。
このように、下方で感光枚葉片S が高速で排出される工程中、好ましくは、上方で、未露光感光シート材Sをカッタ6にて所定長さに切断し、感光枚葉片S として、図3〜図6のように露光位置(弓型保持部19)まで搬送する。

【発明の効果】
本発明は上述の構成により次のような著大な効果を奏する。
(請求項1によれば、)従来の感光ドラム及び吸着装置を省略でき、高精度の加工も著しく減少でき、搬送方向長さ寸法(図の左右方向寸法)を減少させ得る。このように装置をコンパクト化できると共に、巧妙に上方空間を活用して弓型保持部19に弓型に未露光の感光枚葉片S を一旦保持できる。
弓型保持部19からは最少のローラにて送りを与えることができるので、送りスピードが均一化できて、明度ムラや歪み等が生じない。このように構造が簡素でありながら高品質の描画が可能となる。さらに、超大型の枚葉片から超小寸法の枚葉片まで、適用が可能となる。そして、製作も容易で安価な装置を提供可能となる。

(請求項2によれば、)描画(露光)中に、2つの挾圧ローラ対13, 14の内の一方を選択して感光枚葉片S を搬送するので、感光枚葉片S にストレスが掛かりにくく、歪みを生じない。これによって、歪みのない高品質の画像が得られる。
