Abstract

本発明は、例えばDVD等の記録情報媒体であるディスクを包装したパッケージの反転装置及び反転方法に関し、詳しくは、ベルトコンベアを搬送されてきたパッケージをコンベア上の短い区間で90°あるいは180°に反転し姿勢変更できるようにした技術分野に係わるものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、ベルトコンベアで長方形状の搬送物を搬送している途中で、搬送物の姿勢(搬送向き)を例えば90°に反転して姿勢変更できるようにした方法として図7Aに示すようになものがある。これによれば、矢印方向に移動する図示しないベルトコンベアに乗せられて例えば縦向きに搬送されてきた搬送物Pは、ベルトコンベア上に垂設されている基点軸Sに搬送物Pの先端辺一端側の角部近傍が接触することで、基点軸Sを支点にしてベルトコンベアの移動に追従して斜めの姿勢に角度変更され、やがて、横向きの姿勢に角度変更される。この後、搬送物Pが基点軸Sから離れ横向きの姿勢に90°角度変更された状態で搬送される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述したような方法では、搬送物が基点軸Sに接触してから姿勢変更が終了されるまでに要する時間が長くかかると共に、ベルトコンベアも凡そ搬送物の2〜3倍の長さが必要となり、ベルトコンベアに余分な長さが必要となる。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上述の目的を達成するため本発明による搬送物の反転装置は、コンベア状の移動する上にあって、搬送路を搬送されてきた搬送物の先端辺角部付近が接触されるようにした回動可能の第1のレバーと、第1のレバーの上流側にあって、当該第1のレバーが搬送物により押圧されて後退し回動する動作に連動して、搬送物の側辺後端を押圧し反転方向に付勢移動させる第2のレバーと、第1のレバーの下流側にあって、反転途中の搬送物の先端辺が接触しさらに反転方向に付勢移動させ、搬送物を90°に反転させるための先端部にローラーを有する第1の固定バーとを備えたものである。
