Abstract
Description
【0001】

鉄酸化細菌54としては、Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans(アシディチオバチルス フェロオキシダンス)を用いた。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for recycling components of acidic wastewater represented by mine wastewater, and a treatment system for acidic wastewater.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Wastewater discharged from many mines is strongly acidic due to sulfuric acid, causing basin river pollution, and having a huge impact on the ecosystem. In particular, when the wastewater contains heavy metals such as arsenic and iron, the influence is significant. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out such treatment of acidic wastewater together with neutralization of sulfuric acid and removal of heavy metals.
[0003]
As a method for treating such acidic wastewater, there is a method of neutralizing acidity with lime and reclaiming the resulting neutralized starch (gypsum) (Patent Document 1).

On the other hand, despite the fact that sulfuric acid mine wastewater containing arsenic is flowing, investigations have been conducted in areas where arsenic and sulfuric acid concentrations declined before reaching the river from the source, and a phenomenon below the environmental standard was confirmed. (Non-Patent Document 1).
As a result of the investigation, it was clarified that sulfuric acid was consumed by the action of iron-oxidizing bacteria, and that a low crystalline iron mineral, Schwertmannite, which has the property of sorbing anions, was produced. Further, since schwertmannite has a high arsenic sorption ability, a mechanism for sorbing arsenic after generation has been clarified.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to an example of an acidic wastewater treatment system using a purification mechanism by arsenic sorption of Schwertmannite.
[0025]
(First embodiment)
A configuration example of the acidic wastewater treatment system of the present invention is shown in FIG. In FIG. 1, an acidic
[0026]
Schwertmannite is an iron mineral produced by iron-oxidizing bacteria, and can be synthesized by culturing iron-oxidizing bacteria in an acidic culture solution containing sulfuric acid and divalent iron ions. It is also possible to synthesize chemically by adjusting the pH of a solution containing iron and sulfuric acid and placing it under oxidative conditions. In other words, in the natural world, there are many confirmation examples when Schwartmanite has a water quality condition of pH 3.0 to 4.0 and ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) 500 mV or more. Therefore, as in this embodiment, the liquid phase is a strong acid based on sulfuric acid. When exhibiting properties, it is desirable to adjust the pH so as to satisfy the above conditions. Moreover, as the

(Example)
Examples of the present invention will be described in detail below. In this example, the mine drainage of the former Horobetsu sulfur mine in Hokkaido, which is one of the mines having two problems of “strong acidity” and “high concentration arsenic”, was used.
[0041]
(1. Water quality survey of mine wastewater)
Table 1 shows the results of a water quality survey of the mine wastewater.
[0042]
[Table 1]
[0043]
As shown in Table 1, the mine wastewater had a strong acidity of pH 1.76 and contained iron, arsenic and sulfuric acid at high concentrations.
[0044]
(2. Selection of alkaline agent)
Using this mine wastewater, a synthesis test of Schwertmannite under batch conditions was conducted. As shown in FIG. 5, schbertmanite (sch) exists at pH 3.0 to 4.0 and ORP of 500 mV or more. As described above, since this mine wastewater exhibits strong acidity, it is necessary to add an alkali agent so as to have a pH (3.0 to 4.0) suitable for the synthesis of Schwertmannite. Therefore, NaOH, Ca (OH) as alkaline agent 2 Or CaCO 3 The suitability of each alkaline agent in the synthesis of Schwertmannite was examined. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 6, the above three kinds of alkaline agents were added to 400 ml of mine wastewater to adjust the pH to 3.5, and aerated at room temperature for 3 days. CaCO 3 In the case where was used, a test plot adjusted to pH 5.5 was also prepared and similarly aerated at room temperature for 3 days. Thereafter, solid-liquid separation of each test section was performed, and mineral identification was performed on the separated solid phase by an X-ray diffractometer (RINT1200; manufactured by Rigaku Corporation). The result is shown in FIG. On the other hand, water quality analysis (SPQ9000; manufactured by Seiko Electronics Co., Ltd.) was performed on the liquid phase. The results are shown in Table 2.
[0045]
[Table 2]
[0046]
As shown in FIG. 6, among the three types of added alkaline agents, NaOH could be adjusted to pH 3.5 with the smallest addition amount. Further, as shown in FIG. 7, as a result of the identification of the recovered solid phase mineral, the synthesis of Schwermannite was confirmed in all test sections adjusted to pH 3.5, but Ca (OH) was used as a neutralizing agent. 2 Or CaCO 3 The solid phase recovered in the test area to which 4 , CaCO 3 And a mixture of Schwertmannite. On the other hand, the only solid phase recovered in the test section to which NaOH was added was Schwertmannite. CaCO 3 The iron mineral in the solid phase recovered in the test section adjusted to pH 5.5 by addition of was not goethite with low arsenic sorption ability, not Schwbertmannite. Further, as shown in Table 2, as a result of water quality analysis of the liquid phase after solid phase recovery, the iron concentration and the arsenic concentration were remarkably reduced in any of the test sections. Therefore, it can be seen that NaOH is suitable as the alkaline agent to be added for pH adjustment.

As shown in FIG. 8, the solid phase was schwertmannite, and as shown in FIG. 9, the synthesized amount of schbertmanite was 0.74 g / l on average. In addition, the liquid phase water quality test results in FIG. 9 showed that arsenic was removed below the detection limit and iron was removed below 10 mg / l. These results show that continuous synthesis of schwertmannite and subsequent arsenic removal is possible under flow-through conditions. Further, as shown in FIG. 9, an increase in the iron concentration in the liquid phase and a decrease in the amount of the recovered solid phase were slightly observed in the latter half of the test. As the cause of the decrease in the amount of solid phase, the number of iron-oxidizing

[0053]
In this example, mine wastewater was used as an example of acidic wastewater, but the present invention is not limited to this, and it can be widely applied to treatment of acidic wastewater containing iron and sulfuric acid, such as factory wastewater. Is possible.

【The invention's effect】
According to the method for recycling acidic wastewater components of the present invention, components in acidic wastewater that have been conventionally regarded as waste can be recovered as resources that are valuable resources. In addition, by using construction waste containing calcium as a neutralizing agent for acidic wastewater, neutralized starch, which was previously considered waste, is valuable, such as aggregates and building materials such as sand substitutes. It can be recovered as a resource. Moreover, since there is no elution of heavy metals from the neutralized starch in the present invention, it is a safe resource for the environment. Furthermore, it is not necessary to newly synthesize the neutralizing agent, and construction waste materials generally handled as waste materials can be used. Therefore, it can be said that it is preferable in terms of both material cost and environment.
[0055]
In addition, according to the acidic wastewater treatment system of the present invention, it is possible to recover the components and neutralized starch in the acidic wastewater, which has been conventionally regarded as waste, as resources, and to remove the components in the acidic wastewater. is there. In particular, when arsenic is contained in acidic wastewater, the conventional neutralized starch is waste that contaminates soil and water quality due to elution of heavy metals such as arsenic, or a large sedimentation site and high maintenance costs. Although it has been regarded as necessary waste, according to the present invention, since it is recovered as a valuable resource containing arsenic, it is possible not only to reduce processing costs but also to generate profits. Furthermore, by separating the process of sorption of arsenic and the process of synthesizing schwertmannite or those containing schwertmannite, resources of two types of iron minerals, those containing arsenic and those containing no arsenic, are recovered. In addition to being able to do this, arsenic-free iron mineral resources can be reused in previous processes as arsenic sorbents. The reuse as the arsenic sorbent is widely applicable not only to the acidic wastewater treatment system of the present invention but also to other acidic wastewater treatment systems and soil improvement systems.
