本発明は、パンツ型着用物品を高速で連続製造する方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
使い捨てのパンツ型着用物品としては、幼児用のパンツ型おむつやトレーニングパンツ、失禁パンツなどがある。

このような使い捨て着用物品の製造方法としては、幅方向に分離させた2枚のベルト材に跨って2本のレッグ用弾性部材を蛇行状に取付けた後に、吸収体が位置する部分のレッグ用弾性部材をカットして、第1弾性ベルト材と第2弾性ベルト材とに跨って吸収体を取付ける。

その後、吸収体を2つ折りして、第1弾性ベルト材と第2弾性ベルト材と重ね合わせた状態でレッグ用穴を明け、ベルト材の使い捨て着用物品の両側部に相当する部分をサイドシールして、サイドシール部をカットするものがある(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、着用者のフロント(前腹)部とクロッチ(股)部とバック(後背)部とを覆う部材(例えば吸収体)の両側を、伸縮性を有するサイドパネルで連結してなる簡易な使い捨て着用物品は、高速で連続製造して製造コストを下げることが要望されている。

本発明は、上記要望に応えるためになされたもので、高速で連続製造することを可能にしたパンツ型着用物品の製造方法を提供することを課題とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために、本発明は、長さ方向に連続移動されるウエブの両側に、長さ方向に所定の間隔を隔てて、幅方向の伸縮性を有するサイドパネルを収縮状態で接続する工程と、
上記ウエブを所定の長さで切断して、展開状着用物品に成形する工程と、
この展開状着用物品を側面視で略U字状に折り曲げる工程と、
この折り曲げた展開状着用物品のサイドパネルの端部を、対向する折り曲げ部に対して接続して、パンツ型着用物品に成形する工程とを含むことを特徴とするパンツ型着用物品の製造方法を提供するものである。

【発明の作用および効果】
本発明によれば、ウエブを所定の長さで切断した展開状着用物品を略U字状に折り曲げて、両側のサイドパネルの端部を対向する折り曲げ部に対して接続すると、パンツ型着用物品に成形できるようになるから、パンツ型着用物品を高速で連続製造できるので、製造コストを下げることができる。

以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面を参照して詳細に説明する。

図5は、第1実施形態のパンツ型着用物品1Aの着用状態を示すものであり、前後方向に長い略長方形状のパンツ本体2を備えるとともに、このパンツ本体2の前端部2aと後端部2bは、幅方向に伸縮性を有するサイドパネル3でそれぞれ連結されて、フロント(前腹)部Pとバック(後背)部Qとの間のクロッチ(股)部Rの両側にレッグホール(脚穴)部Sが形成されるようになる。

ここで、伸長性不織布とは、不織布を構成する素材として、ポリエチレンまたはポリプロピレン等のオレフィン系、ポリエステル系、ポリアミド系の合成繊維、レーヨンや銅アンモニアレーヨン等の再生繊維、綿等の天然繊維の単体もしくはブレンド、コンジュゲート等の複合繊維が挙げられ、スパンレース法、スパンボンド法、サーマルブローン法、メルトブローン法、ニードルパンチ法等の適宜の加工法により製造することができ、150%以上の伸長性を有するものが好ましい。

また、弾性ホットメルト接着剤とは、熱可塑性高分子樹脂、粘着付与剤、粘度調整剤、酸化防止剤、熱安定剤、紫外線吸収剤、充填剤、可塑剤等を組成とした混練物で、溶剤を含まない揮発性の接着剤である。

熱可塑性高分子樹脂としては、オレフィン系〔EVA(エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体)、APAO(アモルファス・ポリ・アルフアー・オレフィン)〕、ゴム系〔SIS(スチレン・イソプレン・スチレン共重合体)、SBS(スチレン・ブタジェン・スチレン共重合体)、SEBS(スチレン・エチレン・ブタジェン・スチレン共重合体)、SEPS(スチレン・エチレン・プロピレン・スチレン共重合体)〕、ポリアミド系、ポリエステル系の弾性樹脂が挙げられ、これら単体もしくは複数をブレンドして用いられる。

このように、ヒートエンボスロール29で2枚の伸長性不織布(ウエブ)24A,24Bに微小穴をあけることにより、サイドパネル3の通気性が良好になるとともに、ごわごわ感が無くなって肌触りが良好になる。
