本発明は、折り畳まれた状態、或いは展開された状態の折り畳み式シート製品に関する。

（背景）
アコーディオン式の折り目の第一の組及び第二の組を有する折り畳み式シートからなる製品が、欧州特許第ＥＰ−Ａ−２８８ ４７２号によって公知となっている。この製品では、この２つの折り目の組が互いに交差している。シートの対角線上にて対向する角部に位置する区画に硬質部を設けることによって、シート材料の展開、再折り畳みを容易に行なえるようになる。

医薬品メーカーは、自社が販売している製品、特に処方箋なしで販売可能な包装済みの製品に関する製品情報を提供する必要がある。製品の用法、用量、製品の副作用、非常時の対処法などを購入者が知ることができるため、この製品情報は重要である。
【０００４】
この種の製品情報は一般に、リーフレットの形で製品のパッケージの中に同梱されている。この種の製品にまつわる問題として、リーフレットに記載されている製品情報を消費者がほとんど読まないという問題がある。また、リーフレットはパッケージの中に押し込まれたままとなり、製品をパッケージから取り出した後に、パッケージとともに廃棄されることが多い。さらに、包装工程の自動化、高速化に伴い、製品に誤ったリーフレットが添付されてしまうことがある。

シャンプー、保湿クリーム、化粧品、インスタントコーヒー、人口甘味料、園芸用の種子など、医薬品以外の製品のメーカーも、ブリスターストリップを使用して自社製品のサンプルを宣伝目的で配布することが多い。この方式には、たとえ製品情報を提供できるとしても、限られた製品情報のみしかブリスターストリップの上に表示できないという不都合がある。

本発明の好適な実施形態の目的は、ここに挙げた問題、挙げていない問題にかかわらず、先行技術に付随する問題を解決することにある。
（発明の概要）
「シート」との用語は、本明細書に特段の断りのない限り、折り目が消失することなくシートの展開が可能で、かつ再折り畳みが可能な折り目を有する材料一般をいう。シートは、紙、書籍の印刷に通常用いられるプラスチックシートなどの紙に類似した材料、非常に薄いカード、又は他の適切な材料であり得る。シート材料は、折り目以外は堅いカード（紙又は布によって繋がれている非常に薄く堅いカードなど）であることが考えられるが、この材料では、後述する本発明の利点が完全に実現できないと判断されている。

本発明は、第一の折り目と、シートの１つの区画に付着されたブリスターストリップとを有する折り畳み式シートからなる折り畳み式シート製品を提供する。
「ブリスターストリップ」との用語は、本明細書に特段の断りのない限り、カバーシートと基材からなるパッケージ方式を指す。カバーシートは、製品を収容可能な凹部を少なくとも１つ有する。基材は、凹部の開口部を蔽うことによって凹部の内部に製品を封入するようにカバーシートに付着されている。基材は通常、ホイル材料又はフィルム材料からなり、これらホイル材料又はフィルム材料は、凹部の外面を内側に押すことによって、容易に破断し（すなわち破れ）、製品を取り出すことができる。しかし、基材は容易に破断しなくともよく、このような場合、基材又はカバーシートは、凹部の部分を切り取るか又は割くことで、製品を取り出せなければならない。

ブリスターストリップは、折り畳み式シートに直接又は間接的に付着され得る。
ブリスターストリップは、好適にはシートの角部にある区画又はその近傍に設けられる。シートが１ 列の区画ならなる場合、ブリスターストリップは、列の末尾の区画に適切に設けられる。

ブリスターストリップは、接着剤などの適切な任意の手段によってシートの１つの区画に付着され得る。ブリスターストリップは、ヒートシールによってシートの１つの区画に付着されることがある。

ブリスターストリップの基材は、折り畳み式シートに付着され得る。別法として、ブリスターストリップの基材は、シートの１つの区画によって提供されることがある。

別法として、或いは上記に加えて、ブリスターストリップが付着されているシートの区画は、少なくとも１つの切り取り領域からなるものでもよい。同少なくとも１つの切り取り領域は、ブリスターストリップのカバーシート凹部の開口部の位置と適切に一致する。

１つ以上のミシン目と切り取り領域との少なくともいずれかは、円形や矩形などの適切な形状を有する開口部をシートに画定し得る。好適には１つ以上のミシン目と切り取り領域との少なくともいずれかによって画定される少なくとも１つの開口部は、ブリスターストリップ凹部の少なくとも１つの開口部の寸法にほぼ対応する寸法を有する。ブリスターストリップの１つ以上の凹部の各々に対して、単一の切り取り領域とミシン目付きの部分との少なくともいずれかが提供され得る。別法として、ブリスターストリップの複数の凹部に対して、単一の切り取り領域とミシン目付きの部分との少なくともいずれかが提供されることもある。

本発明による折り畳み式シート製品は、好適には硬質部をさらに有する。同硬質部は、好適には折り畳み式シートの１つの区画に付着される。硬質部は、ブリスターストリップによって提供され得る。

ブリスターストリップは、好適には硬質部に対して平らに横たわるように配置可能である。

突縁部は、硬質部及びブリスターストリップの少なくともいずれかの延長部であり、この突縁部が別の硬質部を形成していてもよい。別法として、突縁部は、硬質部及びブリスターストリップの少なくともいずれかの端部に付着されたタブとして提供されることもある。

ブリスターストリップの端部が硬質部の端部に付着されたら、ブリスターストリップが硬質部に対して折り畳まれた状態に維持されるように、少なくとも１つのブリスターストリップの自由端が留め具手段によって硬質部の対応する端部に固定され得る。同留め具手段は、好適には硬質部に対してブリスターストリップの上記少なくとも１つの自由端を一時的に固定する。ブリスターストリップの固定を解除し、その後再度ブリスターストリップを固定して硬質部に対して折り畳まれている状態にすることが可能となるように、留め具手段は再使用可能である。

ブリスターストリップは、複数の端部において硬質部に付着され得る。好適にはブリスターストリップの対向する端部は、対応する硬質部の対向している端部に付着される。好適には硬質部の対応する端部からブリスターストリップの端部を容易に除去できるように、少なくとも１つの突縁部が脆弱線を有する。

本発明による折り畳み式シートが２つの硬質部を有する場合、シートが折り畳まれた状態のときに、同硬質部の両方がシートのカバーを適切に提供する。
硬質部は、本のカバーと同様に、折り畳まれた状態のときに折り畳み式シートにフリップ式のカバーが提供されるように、折り目を備え得る。この折り目は、フリップ式のカバーを設けるために、対応する端部に沿って互いに連結されている２つの硬質部によって設けられてもよい。別法として、フリップ式のカバーは、連結された２つのブリスターストリップ、或いはブリスターストリップ及び硬質部によって提供され得る。

フリップ式のカバーが設けられる場合、カバーは、シートを折り畳まれた状態に保持するための封止手段を適切に備える。適切な封止手段は、英国特許第２ ２６３ ８８５号に開示されており、この開示は参照によりここに援用される。

折り畳み式シートは、硬質部の第一の領域及び第二の領域の少なくともいずれかに付着され得る。別法として、或いはこれに加えて、折り畳み式シートは、硬質部のさらに別の領域に付着され得る。

好適には硬質部の上記の２つの領域は、ほぼ同じ大きさを有する。しかし、硬質部の同領域の大きさは異なっていてもよい。
好適には上記硬質部の第一の領域は、同領域が付着されるシートの区画と少なくとも同じ大きさを有する。

情報提供用のリーフレットがブリスターストリップ内の製品に同当するものであることを保証するために、シート及びブリスターストリップに対応するバーコードを取り付け得る。この場合、製品の組み立て中に、バーコード読み取り機を使用してバーコードの一致を確認して、一致する場合にのみ製品を組み立てるようにすることも可能である。

本発明の別の利点は、情報提供用のリーフレットがブリスターストリップの一部であるか、又はブリスターストリップに付着されており、場合によっては別のパッケージが不要となることにある。つまり、製品又はサンプルの製造が容易になり、かつ製造コストが低減できる。

ただし、組み立て後に、収縮包装又は箱へのパッケージングなどのパッケージングが完成品に対して行なわれることがある。
