電気ポットを用いたシステムでは、例えば盛夏において、ポットが使用されない家庭があれば、システムがうまく機能しないことが考えられる。また、毎日お茶を飲む習慣がない家庭には適用できない場合が発生する。

実施の形態1.
図1は、ランプ点滅通報システムの構成の一例を表す図である。
図1では、親の家100と医療機関300と子供の家400とは、通信網200を介して通信が可能となっている。通信インタフェース部(通信I/F部)130、320、420は、通信網200へのインタフェースを司る。
通信網200は、図1では、有線で表しているが、有線、無線を問わない。また、公衆回線であってもよいし、専用回線その他の通信回線であってもかまわない。
さらに、図1では、親の家100は、ランプ110と、ランプ110の点滅を切換えるスイッチ(SW)120とを備え、医療機関300は、モニタ装置310を備え、子供の家400は、モニタ装置410を備える例を示している。

図6に示すように、親の家100のスイッチ120とランプ110との間に電気が流れると、子供の家400に備えられる照明装置のランプ450を点滅させるように、配線を設定する。図6では、親の家からの配線がランプ450と直接接続している例を示しているが、これに限られるわけではない。配線を接続する機器、あるいは、ON/OFFを切換えるスイッチを、配線の途中に挿入してもかまわない。
