TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic device such as a mobile phone and a PDA (Personal Digital Assistants) including a display device provided inside a housing and exposed to the outside.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Generally, an electronic device including a unit for displaying information includes a display device such as a liquid crystal display device that exposes a display surface outward from an opening formed in a housing (for example, see Patent Document 1). ). Since these display devices are likely to malfunction due to static electricity or easily fail, conventionally, a thin sheet metal member made of a conductive material is arranged close to the display device, and this sheet metal member is arranged inside the housing. It is connected to the ground pattern on the circuit board. This prevents external static electricity from escaping to the ground pattern of the circuit board and causing the display device to be charged with static electricity. This sheet metal member is sandwiched and fixed between the display device 51 and the inner surface 53a of the housing 53, for example, as shown in FIG.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
JP 2003-18264 A
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the above electronic device, foreign matter such as dust or dirt enters the inside of the housing 53 from a fitting portion between the front case and the housing forming the housing 53 or a gap formed in the housing 53. Sometimes.
In addition, since minute gaps are generated between the display device 51 and the sheet metal member 55 and between the sheet metal member 55 and the housing 53, the foreign matter that has entered the housing 53 is reduced from the minute gap by the display device. There is a problem that the liquid crystal panel enters between the light-transmitting plate 51 and the light-transmitting plate provided in the opening of the housing 53 and makes it difficult to visually recognize the display surface.
Therefore, conventionally, in order to fill these minute gaps, a sponge-like cushioning material elastically deformable between the display device 51 and the sheet metal member 55 and between the sheet metal member 55 and the inner surface 53 a of the housing 53. To prevent dust and liquid from entering.
However, in the case where the cushioning material is interposed only in one of the gaps, the invasion of foreign matter cannot be sufficiently prevented. The space between the inner surface 53a and the display device 51 is large, and the thickness of the housing 53 must be increased in order to create a space for disposing the two cushioning members. There are problems that the device is inconvenient, that the amount of the buffer material used increases, and that the manufacturing cost increases.
[0005]
An object of the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide an electronic device capable of taking a highly reliable countermeasure against static electricity and dust in a display device.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention proposes the following means.
That is, the electronic device of the present invention includes a housing having an opening, a light-transmitting plate fixed so as to cover the opening, and a display surface inside the housing facing outward from the opening. An exposed and fixed display device, disposed at least between the display device and the housing inner surface, a sheet metal member provided with a slit, and between the sheet metal member and the housing inner surface or the sheet metal member. An elastically deformable cushioning member disposed between the display device and the display device.
According to the electronic apparatus of the present invention, the sheet metal member is sandwiched between the inner surface of the housing and the display device, and the cushioning material is sandwiched in the gap between the sheet metal member and either the inner surface of the housing or the display device. In, the cushioning material is elastically deformed, enters the other gap through the slit formed in the sheet metal member, and comes into contact with the inner surface of the housing or the sheet metal member.
Therefore, even if there is a minute gap between the inner surface of the housing or the display device and the sheet metal member, both gaps can be filled with the cushioning material, and the space between the inner surface of the housing and the display device is increased. In addition, it is possible to effectively prevent foreign matter such as dust or dust entering the housing from entering between the display device and the light transmitting plate.
Further, by connecting the sheet metal member to the ground pattern of the circuit board disposed in the housing, it is possible to discharge static electricity charged on the display device and its surroundings.
[0008]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
1 to 4 show an embodiment according to the present invention. The embodiment described here is a case where the present invention is applied to a mobile phone. As shown in FIG. 1, a mobile phone (electronic device) 1 according to this embodiment has a first housing 2 and a second housing 3 that are foldably connected to each other by a hinge 4. It is.
Various operation keys 5 such as a call key and an end key, and a microphone unit 6 are provided inside the first housing 2, and these are the first and second keys that face the second housing 3 when folded. The first housing 2 is exposed to the facing surface 7 side. A display device 8 such as a liquid crystal display device and a speaker unit 9 are provided inside the second housing 3, and the display surface 8a and the speaker unit 9 of the display device 8 are folded when the first housing 3 is folded. It is exposed on the side of the facing surface 11 of the second housing 3 facing the body 2.
[0009]
The display device 8 is for displaying various information such as a communication state between the base station and the mobile phone 1 and a text of a mail, and is formed in a substantially rectangular shape in plan view. In addition, the microphone unit 6 and the speaker unit 9 perform wireless communication, play music, and perform voice communication via an antenna (not shown) in a state where the first and second housings 2 and 3 are opened from each other. Used for recording.
As shown in FIG. 2, a sheet metal member 13, a cushioning material 15, and a circuit board 17 are provided inside the second housing 3, as shown in FIG. 2. The sheet metal member 13, the cushioning member 15, the display device 8, and the circuit board 17 are sequentially stacked on the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21 that forms the facing surface 11 of the second housing. Note that the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21 indicates a surface located on the opposite side of the facing surface 11.
[0010]
The front case 21 has a substantially rectangular opening 21b in plan view that penetrates from the inner surface 21a side to the opposing surface 11 side. The opening 21b extends the display surface 8a of the display device 8 outward. It is for exposing to. The light transmitting plate 10 that covers the opening 21b is fixed to the front case 21 so as to protect the display surface 8a of the display device 8.
A plurality of projecting walls 23 projecting in the thickness direction are formed on the inner surface 21 a side of the front case 21. These protruding wall portions 23 are provided so that the sheet metal member 13 and the display device 8 do not move in a direction orthogonal to the thickness direction of the front case 21 when the sheet metal member 13 is arranged on the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21. I have. That is, these protruding wall portions 23 together with the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21 constitute a housing portion for housing the sheet metal member 13 and the display device 8.
[0011]
The sheet metal member 13 is for preventing static electricity from escaping to the ground pattern (not shown) of the circuit board 17 and preventing the display device 8 from being charged. The sheet metal member 13 is formed by pressing a thin plate-shaped conductive material. 8 is formed so as to be accommodated. That is, the sheet metal member 13 includes a bottom wall 27 having a substantially rectangular shape in a plan view, and a plurality of side walls 29 formed upright around the bottom wall 27. The display device 8 can be positioned with respect to the member 13.
The bottom wall 27 of the sheet metal member 13 is formed with a through-hole 27 a having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view and substantially the same shape as the opening 21 b of the front case 21. The through-hole 27 a is formed on the display surface of the display device 8. 8a is to be exposed to the outside. As shown in FIG. 3, a plurality of slits 31 are formed in the bottom wall 27 so as to surround the through hole 27a in the circumferential direction.
In addition, connection terminals 35 and 37 are integrally formed on the pair of side walls 29 and 29 disposed opposite to each other, and these connection terminals 35 and 37 are connected to the ground pattern of the circuit board 17. Is what you do.
[0012]
As shown in FIG. 2, the cushioning member 15 is formed of a sponge-like material made of urethane or the like and having a small elastic coefficient in a thin plate shape having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view. The cushioning member 15 has a through-hole 15a having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view. The through hole 15a has substantially the same shape as the opening 21b and the through hole 27a formed in the front case 21 and the sheet metal member 13, and is for exposing the display surface 8a of the display device 8 to the outside. The circuit board 17 has a plurality of various electronic components mounted thereon, and is electrically connected to the display device 8, the operation keys 5, the microphone unit 6, and the speaker unit 9.
[0013]
As shown in FIG. 4, when the sheet metal member 13, the cushioning material 15, the display device 8, and the circuit board 17 are sequentially stacked on the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21, the sheet metal member 13 becomes the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21. And it comes into contact with the protruding wall portion 23 and is positioned with respect to the front case 21. Further, the cushioning material 15 contacts the bottom wall 27 of the sheet metal member 13 and is positioned with respect to the sheet metal member 13. Further, in the display device 8, the peripheral portion of the display surface 8 a contacts the cushioning material 15, and the side surface 8 c adjacent to the display surface 8 a contacts the side wall portion 29 of the sheet metal member 13 to contact the sheet metal member 13. It will be positioned.
The circuit board 17 is in contact with the back surface 8 b located on the opposite side of the display surface 8 a of the display device 8 and is urged toward the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21. That is, a plurality of locking portions 41 that engage with the circuit board 17 are formed at the distal end of the protruding wall portion 23 of the front case 21. When the locking portion 41 is engaged with the circuit board 17, the circuit board 17 is pressed toward the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21.
[0014]
The urging force of the locking portion 41 causes the cushioning material 15 sandwiched between the display device 8 and the sheet metal member 13 to be elastically deformed and inserted into the slit 31 of the sheet metal member 13. In this state, the cushioning material 15 also comes into contact with the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21 through the slit 31. Therefore, even if a minute gap exists between the sheet metal member 13 and the display surface 8a of the display device 8 and the inner surface 21a of the front case 21, both gaps are filled by the cushioning material 15.
In order to ensure that the cushioning material 15 abuts on the inner surface 21a of the front case 21 via the slit 31, it is preferable that the sheet metal member 13 is formed to be thin, and its thickness is set to 0.04 mm to 0 mm. .1 mm is particularly preferred.
That is, when the thickness of the sheet metal member 13 is larger than 0.1 mm, the depth of the slit 31 increases, and in order to elastically deform the buffer material 15 and project from the slit 31, the thickness of the buffer material 15 is increased. This is because the display device 8 must be pressed against the inner surface 21a of the front case 21 with a large urging force. On the contrary, when the thickness of the sheet metal member 13 becomes smaller than 0.04 mm, the display device 8 is broken by the urging force. It is because it becomes easy.
[0015]
As described above, according to the mobile phone 1, the sheet metal member 13 can prevent the display device 8 from being charged. Further, since the slits 31 are formed in the sheet metal member 13, the gaps between the sheet metal member 13 and the display device 8 and the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21 can be filled with one cushioning material 15. It is possible to prevent foreign matter, such as dust or dust, having entered the inside of the housing 3 from entering between the light transmitting plate 10 and the display device 8.
Therefore, the user can always view the clear display surface 8a and take a measure against static electricity, so that the mobile phone 1 with high reliability can be provided, and the increase in the manufacturing cost of the mobile phone 1 can be suppressed. be able to.
[0016]
In the above-described embodiment, the cushioning material 15 is sandwiched between the display device 8 and the sheet metal member 13. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, between the sheet metal member 13 and the front case 21. It may be sandwiched. In the case of this configuration, in a state where the display device 8, the sheet metal member 13, and the cushioning material 15 are pressed against the inner surface 21 a of the front case 21, the cushioning material 15 is connected to the display surface Since it also comes into contact with the periphery of 8a, it is possible to fill each gap between the sheet metal member 13 and the display device 8 and the inner surface 21a of the front case 21 as in the present embodiment.
In addition, the cushioning member 15 is described as being formed from a sponge-like material, but is not limited thereto, and may be formed at least from an elastic body that can be easily elastically deformed. That is, for example, the cushioning material 15 may be formed from rubber.
[0017]
Further, the present invention is not limited to the mobile phone 1 in which the two housings are foldably connected to each other, and the two housings are connected to each other by a connecting means so as to be freely openable and closable, such as a PDA (Personal Digital Assistants) and a notebook computer. Any electronic device may be used.
In addition, the electronic device is not limited to having two housings, and may be configured, for example, from one housing having the structure of the present embodiment.
[0018]
As described above, the embodiment of the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the specific configuration is not limited to this embodiment, and includes a design change or the like without departing from the gist of the present invention.
[0019]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent foreign substances such as dust and dirt entering the housing from entering between the light transmitting plate and the display device, so that a clear display surface is always visible. In addition, since only one cushioning material is required to prevent foreign matter from entering, it is possible to suppress an increase in the manufacturing cost of the electronic device.
In addition, by connecting the sheet metal member to the ground pattern of the circuit board, charging of the display device can be prevented.
