この種の保守作業用吊り架台は、搬送用電車などの作業対象物、即ち、ワークに対し跨がらせることができる門形の台車の上側梁部に、チエンブロックなどのワーク吊り具を取り付け、当該門形台車をワークに対し跨がらせた状態で前記ワーク吊り具でワークを吊り上げ、保守作業用支持台上まで門形台車で吊り下げワークを搬送するものであるが、門形台車は、ワークを跨ぐことができる大型のものであるから、その保管時の占有空間(床面積)が非常に大きくなる。従って、従来のこの種の保守作業用吊り架台は、例えば特許文献1に記載されるように、2台の台車の上部どうしを着脱自在な連結部材により、この両台車間にワーク吊下空間を隔てた状態で互いに連結し得るように構成し、この連結部材にワーク吊り具でワークを吊り下げることができるように構成されていた。

上記のような従来の保守作業用吊り架台によれば、使用しないときに連結部材を取り外して2台の台車に分割することができるので、両台車を互いに隣接するように接近させて保管することができ、保管時の占有空間(床面積)を狭めることができるが、ばらばらに分割された2台の台車と取り外された連結部材などを各別に保管しなければならず、保管作業や保管後の管理が面倒で、部品紛失の恐れもある。

本発明は以上のように実施し且つ使用することが出来るものであって、係る本発明の保守作業用吊り架台によれば、ワークを吊り下げて移送するときなど、使用するときは、2台の台車を連結部材で連結して門形台車としてワークを安定的に吊り下げて安全に移送することができるものであるが、使用しない保管時などには、2台の台車と連結部材などとに分解できるだけでなく、2台の台車を直接連結手段で互いに隣接する状態に連結一体化することができ、更に各台車が備える収納空間に、取り外された連結部材などの付属品を収納して、分解した全てのものをひとまとめにすることができる。
