Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electric wire holder capable of inserting an electric wire or an electric wire with a terminal into a predetermined position of a connector housing corresponding to, for example, a monochromatic insulated wire, and to a sub-harness manufacturing method using the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
FIG. 8 shows an embodiment of a conventional electric wire holder (for example, see Patent Document 1).
[0003]
The electric wire holder 41 is formed by arranging a plurality of pairs of left and right clamp pieces 42 made of synthetic resin on a straight rod portion 43 in parallel at an equal pitch. A metal spring in which the urging force of the clamp piece 42 is increased is also used. An insulated wire 44 is sandwiched and fixed between the pair of clamp pieces 42.
[0004]
As shown in FIG. 9, the wire holder 41 is used in a terminal crimping device 45. That is, after cutting the electric wire 46 to a required length, the end of the electric wire 46 is held between each pair of clamp pieces 42, the end of the electric wire 46 is peeled, and the terminal 47 is crimped to the stripped portion of the electric wire. Is done. In many cases, both ends of the electric wire 46 are held by the clamp pieces 42 in a state of being folded in a U-shape.
[0005]
After the terminals 47 are crimped, the wire holder 41 is carried together with the terminal-equipped electric wire 48 in the terminal insertion process, and the terminal-equipped electric wire 48 is detached from the clamp piece 42 and inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber of the connector housing (not shown). Is done. This terminal insertion is performed manually by an operator or using an automatic machine.
[0006]
The connector housing and the terminals 47 constitute a connector, and the connector and the electric wires 46 constitute a sub-harness (not shown). A wire harness is composed of a plurality of sub-harnesses. The wiring harness is assembled on a wiring board.
[0007]
In the case of the crimping terminal 47, the terminal-attached electric wire 48 is held by the electric wire holder 41. In the case of a press-connecting connector using a press-connecting terminal (not shown), the press-connecting terminal is pre-loaded into the connector housing. To the press contact terminal in the connector housing. In this case, the electric wire holder 41 holds only the electric wire 46.
[0008]
In any case, the electric wires 46 are color-coded, and the electric wires 46 are identified (colored) according to the shape of the terminals 47 (differences in male and female, differences in size and shape, etc.) and the thickness of the electric wires 46. Another) has been made.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional wire holder 41 and the sub-harness manufacturing method using the same, for example, when the color coding of the wires 46 is abolished and the insulation coating of the wires 46 is made monochromatic, for example, the terminals are placed in the connector housing. When inserting the attached electric wire 48, it is not possible to specify which electric wire with a terminal is to be inserted into which terminal accommodating chamber of the connector housing, which causes a problem that a sub-harness cannot be manufactured. The same applies to the case where an electric wire is pressed against a press-connecting terminal in a press-connecting connector. In addition, even when using wires having normal colors, when inserting a plurality of wires with the same color and the same terminal into the same connector, identify which terminal accommodating chamber of the connector to insert. Was difficult.
[0011]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and accordingly, for example, it is possible to reliably insert a terminal-equipped electric wire into a predetermined terminal accommodating chamber of a connector housing in response to monochromaticization of an electric wire, and to accurately form a sub-harness. An object of the present invention is to provide a wire holder that can be used and a sub-harness manufacturing method using the same.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, an electric wire holder according to claim 1 of the present invention is provided with an electric wire holding portion, and a display portion relating to the electric wire in the electric wire holding portion or the electric wire with a terminal.
With the above configuration, the electric wire or the electric wire with terminal is inserted and held in the electric wire holding portion. Examples of the wire holding portion include a holding hole and a holding groove. The display unit displays information about the electric wires in the electric wire holding unit or the electric wires with terminals. Thereby, even if all the electric wires are made monochromatic, the electric wires and the electric wires with terminals can be identified.
[0013]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the electric wire holder according to the first aspect, the electric wire holding portion is connected to a deformable electric wire insertion slit.
According to the above configuration, the electric wire or the electric wire with the terminal can be smoothly and easily inserted into the electric wire holding portion from the slit portion. The electric wire or the electric wire with the terminal can be easily taken out from the slit portion at the time of use (for example, when inserting the electric wire into the connector housing).
[0014]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the electric wire holder according to the first aspect, the electric wire holding portion is configured between two members to be joined such as a case and a cover.
According to the above configuration, two members such as a case and a cover or two covers are joined, and an electric wire or an electric wire with a terminal is held in an electric wire holding portion such as an electric wire holding hole or a holding groove therebetween. The two members may be configured separately, or may be connected by a hinge so that they can be opened and closed. With the two members such as the case and the cover separated from each other, the electric wire and the electric wire with terminals can be attached to and detached from the electric wire holding portion with almost no resistance (without rubbing).
[0015]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the electric wire holding device according to any one of the first to third aspects, a flexible or elastic projection for holding the electric wire is provided in the electric wire holding portion. It is characterized by.
According to the above configuration, the electric wire or the electric wire with the terminal is pressed by the protrusion in the electric wire holding portion and is securely held (in a case where the electric wire or the electric wire with the terminal contacts only the protrusion, the electric power is held with a small force. When it comes into contact with, it is held with a large force). The projection elastically bends and deforms. Further, the electric wire having an outer diameter smaller than the inner surface diameter of the electric wire holding portion can be reliably held by the projection, and it is possible to cope with various electric wires having different diameters. The wire contacts the protrusion with a small area.
[0016]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the electric wire holder according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, the display unit includes a color display for identifying the electric wire and / or an electric wire circuit name, a circuit number, and / or an electric wire. Alternatively, it is a number indicating the terminal accommodating portion of the connector housing into which the electric wire or the electric wire with terminal is inserted.
According to the above configuration, for example, each wire held by the wire holder is identified by the identification color of the display unit, the circuit name, the terminal accommodating part number or the terminal number of the press-connecting connector, or held by the wire holder. Each terminal-equipped wire is identified by the identification color of the display unit, the circuit name, the terminal housing part number of the connector housing, and the like. The operator or the automatic assembler can check the display section and insert the electric wires and the terminals into the designated portions of the connector or the connector housing.
[0017]
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the electric wire holder according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, a plurality of the electric wire holders can be combined.
With the above configuration, a plurality of electric wire holders can be combined vertically and / or horizontally to form one large electric wire holder. For example, when one large electric wire holder is constituted by the first and second electric wire holders, the first electric wire holder holds an electric wire with a terminal to one (one end side) of the connector housing of the sub-harness, The electric wire with the terminal is held by the electric wire holder in the connector housing on the other side (the other end side) of the sub-harness. When the third electric wire holder is combined, the third electric wire holder holds an electric wire with a terminal for branching to the third connector housing in parallel with one connector housing. By combining the electric wire holders, it is possible to cope with various types of sub-harnesses and large subs. After holding the electric wires and the electric wires with terminals in the respective electric wire holders, it is preferable to combine the electric wire holders.
[0018]
A sub-harness manufacturing method using the wire holder according to claim 7 is a sub-harness manufacturing method using the wire holder according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the terminal-equipped wire is After being held by a predetermined wire holding portion of the wire holding tool, the display unit is used to identify the wire with a terminal, and each wire holding unit is held by the wire with a terminal, the wire with the terminal is removed from the wire holding unit. It is characterized in that it is detached and inserted into a terminal accommodating portion corresponding to the display portion in the connector housing.
According to the above configuration, a predetermined terminal is definitely inserted into a predetermined terminal accommodating portion of the connector housing, and a sub-harness including the connector housing and the electric wire with each terminal is formed.
[0019]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of an electric wire holder according to the present invention.
[0020]
The electric wire holder 1 is preferably formed of an elastic member such as synthetic rubber, and communicates with a plurality of electric wire holding holes (electric wire holding portions, hereinafter referred to as holding holes) 3 in the block portion 2 and each holding hole 3 from outside. A slit section 4 is provided, and a display section 5 for specifying an electric wire or an electric wire with terminal 6 is provided near or on both sides of each slit section 4.
[0021]
The block portion 2 is formed in a rectangular or long rectangular rod shape. When the electric wire 6a is horizontally held, the slit portions 4 are alternately provided on the upper and lower wall surfaces, and the holding holes 3 are staggered in two upper and lower stages. Have. The upper slit portion 4 continues to the lower holding hole 3, and the lower slit portion 4 continues to the upper holding hole 3.
[0022]
The reason why the holding holes 3 are arranged in a staggered manner in two stages is to increase the density (number) of the holding holes 3 in the block portion 2 and to make the block portion 2 compact. There is also an advantage that the position can be adjusted to the connector housing 7 having the terminal receiving chambers (terminal receiving portions) 8 of the steps.
[0023]
The inner diameter of the holding hole 3 is set slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the electric wire 6a, and the electric wire 6a can be held in the holding hole 3 without displacement. The slit portion 4 is formed to be narrower than the outer diameter of the electric wire 6a and the inner diameter of the holding hole 3, so that the electric wire 6a can be inserted into and removed from the holding hole 3 through the slit portion 4, and the insertion of the electric wire 6a can be performed. In addition, at the time of detachment, the slit portion 4 opens equally to the outer diameter of the electric wire (is elastically deformed), and the insertion and detachment of the electric wire 6a can be easily performed.
[0024]
The number of the holding holes 3 is set according to, for example, the number of the terminal receiving chambers (terminal receiving portions) 8 of the connector housing 7 (FIG. 2), that is, the number of electric wires of one sub-harness 9. The length of the block portion 2 in the front-rear direction (wire insertion direction) may be any length as long as the wire 6a can be held without displacement in the front-rear and vertical directions.
[0025]
The display unit 5 is provided on both upper and lower surfaces of the block unit 2 corresponding to the upper and lower holding holes 3. In this embodiment, the display unit 5 is provided separately on both sides of the slit unit 4. The position of the display section 5 may be on one side of the slit section 4, or may be on the opening end of the holding hole 3, that is, on the front and rear wall surfaces of the block section 2, or on the wall surface on the opposite side to the slit section 4. You may.
[0026]
For example, the display unit 5 displays (paints, pastes, or the like) an identification color corresponding to the color coding of the conventional electric wire 6a, displays (writes) an electric wire circuit number, or a connector housing 7 (FIG. 2). Of the terminal storage chamber 8, that is, the number of the terminal storage chamber 8 (for example, Nos. 1 to n from the upper right terminal storage chamber to the upper left terminal storage chamber, and from the lower right terminal storage chamber to the lower left terminal storage chamber). or the order of the nth to Nth), or the number of the terminal accommodating chamber (terminal accommodating portion) of the connector housing of the insulation displacement connector (not shown), the terminal number in the insulation displacement connector, or the like. I do. Further, the wire circuit number and the position of the terminal accommodating chamber may be displayed in different colors. As described above, the display unit 5 is provided with a color display for wire identification and / or a wire circuit name or a circuit number and / or a number indicating a terminal accommodating chamber of the connector housing into which the wire 6a or the wire with terminal 6 is inserted. I just need. The contents (information) of the display unit 5 corresponding to each holding hole 3 of the wire holder 1 of FIG. 1 are all different.
[0027]
As shown in FIG. 1, the wire retainer 1,1 2, 1 3 is adapted to be combined vertically and horizontally. That is, a dovetail groove 10 for locking and a ridge 11 having a shape to be engaged with the dovetail groove 10 are provided on the upper, lower, left and right wall surfaces of the rectangular block portion 2, and each of the wire holders 1, 1 2 , 1 3 can be removably united at desired top, bottom, left and right positions. The merging direction may be only the vertical direction, only the horizontal direction, or both the vertical and horizontal directions. The locking means is not limited to the dovetail groove 10 and the ridge 11, but may be a combination of an umbrella-shaped projection and a hole, or a locking projection and a flexible engagement frame piece especially in a synthetic resin block. You may.
[0028]
Corresponding, other wire holder 1 2 other connector housing for example, one of the wire holder 1 inserts the one connector housing 7 pin 6b of the terminal with the wire 6 into each terminal accommodating chambers 8 (FIG. 2) (Not shown) correspondingly to insert the terminal of the electric wire with terminal into each terminal accommodating chamber. When inserting the terminals 6b of the both ends of the single wire 6a to the two connector housings can be performed easily terminal insertion By keeping coalescing two wire holders 1, 1 2.
[0029]
In addition, by combining the respective wire holders 1,1 3 up and down, it can be inserted definitely terminal corresponding to the connector housing having a multi-stage terminal receiving chambers of the two or more stages in the terminal accommodating chambers.
[0030]
The electric wire holder 1 having the upper and lower two-stage holding holes 3 shown in FIG. 1 can be used for a connector housing (not shown) having a single-stage terminal accommodating chamber. Can be inserted. Although a drawing wire with terminals 6 held by the wire holder 1 4 is inserted as it is the connector housing 7 in FIG. 2, in practice a single by one cable with terminal 6 from the wire holder 1 4 Remove and insert into connector housing 7.
[0031]
Further, the depth of the slit portion 4 of the electric wire holder 1 in FIG. 1 may be any shallow as long as the electric wire 6a in the holding hole 3 can be prevented from coming off. Although the number of the holding holes 3 is usually plural, for example, a plurality of block portions (not shown) each having one holding hole are combined and used as one electric wire holder, or one holding member is used. It is also possible to combine a block part having holes with a block part 2 having a plurality of holding holes 3 and use it.
[0032]
FIGS. 3 and 4 show an embodiment of the holding hole 3 of the wire holder 1.
The holding hole 3 in FIG. 3 has a substantially annular flexible or elastic ridge (protrusion) 12 in the circumferential direction on the inner surface. Each ridge 12 protrudes in a pleated shape, and can hold an electric wire (not shown) having a diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the holding hole 3. Although the number of the ridges 12 is preferably plural, when the length of the holding hole 3 is short, for example, it may be one at the center.
[0033]
The holding hole 3 in FIG. 4 has a flexible or elastic ridge (projection) 13 in the axial direction. Each ridge 13 protrudes in a pleated shape, and can hold an electric wire smaller in diameter than the inner diameter of the holding hole 3. It is preferable that the number and the arrangement of the ridges 13 are plural.
[0034]
The shapes of the ridges 12 and 13 can be variously set, for example, spiral. The ridges 12 and 13 can hold wires of different diameters, and the versatility of the wire holder 1 is enhanced. An electric wire 6a having substantially the same diameter as the holding hole 3 is pressed against the inner surface of the holding hole while elastically deforming the ridges 12,13. A relief groove (not shown) when deforming the ridge may be provided on the inner surface of the holding hole.
[0035]
5 to 7 show another embodiment of the electric wire holder.
5 is formed of a synthetic resin, and includes a case 16 and a cover 17. The case 16 has an electric wire holding groove (electric wire holding portion) 20 which is partitioned by a bottom plate 18 and a plurality of partition walls 19, and has a locking projection 22 on a wall portion 21 at the left and right ends. The inner width of the holding groove 20 is set slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the insulated wire 6a (FIG. 1), or the height of the partition wall 19 is set slightly lower than the outer diameter of the wire 6a.
[0036]
The cover 17 is composed of a top plate 23 and left and right wall portions 24, and each wall portion 24 is provided with an engagement frame piece 25 for the locking projection 22. The display unit 5 for specifying the electric wire 6 a or the electric wire with terminal 6 is provided on the top plate 23. Since the display unit 5 is the same as the previous example, the description is omitted.
[0037]
As shown in FIG. 6, each electric wire or electric wire with terminal 6 is accommodated in each holding groove 20 and the cover 17 is closed, so that each electric wire 6a or electric wire with terminal 6 is held in the holding groove 20 without displacement. 5, the cover 17 may be connected to the case 16 by a thin hinge or the like so as to be freely opened and closed. The position of the display unit 5 is not limited to the cover 17 and may be provided in both the cover 17 and the case 16 or only the case 16, or may be provided at the front and rear open ends of the housing groove 20. Further, the locking means is not limited to the protrusion 22 and the frame piece 25.
[0038]
The electric wire holder 28 shown in FIG. 7 is preferably formed of synthetic resin, synthetic rubber, metal, or the like, and is constituted by a pair of upper and lower corrugated covers 29, 30 having substantially the same shape. Each of the covers 29 and 30 has a semicircular wire holding groove (wire holding portion) 31 on the inner surface side, and can hold one wire or the wire with terminal 6 by combining a pair of upper and lower holding grooves 31. The upper and lower holding grooves 31 combine to form a circular holding hole (electric wire holding portion). The depth of each holding groove 31 is set to be slightly shallower than the outer diameter of the electric wire. The two covers 29 and 30 are locked by locking projections 32 and locking frame pieces 33 as locking means. The lower cover 30 can be regarded as a case.
[0039]
In this example, both covers 29 and 30 are connected by a thin hinge 34 so as to be openable and closable. However, the two covers 29 and 30 may be divided as in the example of FIG. A display unit 5 for specifying an electric wire or an electric wire with a terminal is provided on the outer surface of one and / or the other covers 29 and 30. The display unit 5 may be provided at the front and rear ends (open ends) of the covers 29 and 30. Since the display unit 5 is the same as the previous example, the description is omitted.
[0040]
Flexible projections 12, 13 as in the previous example (FIGS. 3, 4) may be provided in the holding grooves 20, 31 of the embodiment of FIGS. 5 and 7 so that even small-diameter electric wires can be held. Alternatively, a plurality of electric wire holders 15 and 28 shown in FIGS. 5 and 7 may be vertically and / or horizontally combined by a not-shown locking means as in the previous example. Each one of the cases 16 and the cover 17 in FIG. 5 and the covers 29 and 30 in FIG. 7 constitute a block portion.
[0041]
Hereinafter, an example of a sub-harness manufacturing method using the electric wire holder 1 of the embodiment of FIG. 1 will be described.
[0042]
First, the terminal is crimped to the monochrome electric wire 6a by an existing terminal crimping device (not shown). The electric wire 6a is cut in advance to a required length, the end is peeled, and the terminal 6b is crimped in that state. The electric wire with terminal 6 is engaged and held in a predetermined holding hole 3 (indicated to specify the electric wire with terminal) of the electric wire holder 1. Since the slit portion 4 is elastically deformable, the electric wire with terminal 6 can be smoothly attached to and detached from the holding hole 3. The electric wire with terminal 6 is held by the electric wire holder 1 in the order in which the terminals 6b are crimped. It is preferable to hold the electric wire with terminal 6 on the electric wire holder 1 immediately after the terminal 6b is crimped without stocking, in order to prevent erroneous assembly.
[0043]
For example, an operator inserts the terminal-attached electric wire 6 from the slit portion 4 into the predetermined holding hole 3. Alternatively, after crimping the terminal 6b in an automatic machine, the terminal-attached electric wire 6 is gripped by a gripping hand (not shown) that can be moved forward and backward and lifted and lifted from the wire clip, and inserted into the predetermined holding hole 3 from the slit portion 4. .
[0044]
After the predetermined electric wires 6 with terminals are held in one electric wire holder 1, the electric wire holder 1 is carried to the terminal insertion process (the terminal insertion process may be adjacent), and the worker visually checks the electric wires. After confirming the display portion (identification color and / or circuit name and / or terminal accommodating chamber number) 5 of the holder 1, the terminal-attached electric wire 6 and the connector housing 7 into which the terminal 6b is to be inserted (FIG. 2). Is recognized (confirmed) with the terminal accommodating chamber 8, and the terminal is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber.
[0045]
When terminals are inserted into the connector housing 7 by an automatic machine (not shown), the display unit 5 is read, for example, with a CCD camera instead of visual inspection, and the electric wire 6 with a terminal is gripped through the holding hole 3 corresponding to the display unit 5. Then, the terminal 6b is inserted into a predetermined terminal accommodating chamber 8. It is not always necessary to support the wire holder 1 horizontally at the time of manual or automatic terminal insertion, and the wire holder 1 may be used standing vertically or obliquely.
[0046]
For example to insert the terminals 6b to one connector housing 7 at the wire holder 1 consisting of one block portion 2, the terminals at the wire holder 1 3 made in another block portion to the other connector housing (not shown) To form a sub-harness having connectors at both ends. In this case, it is also possible by combining the both blocks 1, 1 3 for use as a wire retainer. In that case, the terminal-attached electric wire 6 is bent in a U-shape. Furthermore, coalescing blocks 1, 1 2, 1 3, etc. and fro, it is also possible to form a large sub-harness having three or more connectors.
[0047]
After forming the sub-harness, a wire harness is assembled with a plurality of sub-harnesses on a wiring board (not shown). Since the terminals 6b are firstly fitted at the stage of forming the sub-harness, there is no need to perform terminal insertion (post-fitting) on the wiring board, and an electrical continuity check can be performed at the stage of completing the sub-harness. Therefore, it is not necessary to perform the continuity check on the wiring board (only the continuity check of the entire wire harness is required), and the assemblability of the wire harness is improved.
[0048]
In the above-described embodiment, an example is shown in which the electric wire with terminal 6 is inserted into the connector housing 7. However, for example, after cutting the electric wire 6a in the first step, a predetermined (display for specifying the electric wire) of the electric wire holder 1 is performed. 3), the terminal 6b can be crimped to the electric wire 6a. In the case of the press-connecting connector, after the electric wire 6a is cut, the electric wire 6a is immediately held in a predetermined holding hole 3 of the electric wire holder 1, and the electric wire holder 1 holding each electric wire 6a is transported to a press-contact device (not shown). And press-contact a press-contact terminal (not shown) in the press-connector.
[0049]
The color of the insulating coating of the electric wire 6a is preferably low-cost white, but is not necessarily limited to white. Even if a part or all of the electric wire 6a is colored other than white, the electric wire holder 1 And a sub-harness manufacturing direction using the same.
[0050]
【The invention's effect】

Position, and each terminal-equipped electric wire can be inserted into a required terminal accommodating chamber of the connector housing without mistake.
[0051]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the electric wire and the electric wire with the terminal can be easily attached to and detached from the electric wire holder through the slit portion, for example, the operation of inserting the electric wire into the press-connecting connector or the terminal into the connector housing. , That is, the sub harness can be efficiently manufactured.
[0052]
According to the invention as set forth in claim 3, two members such as a case and a cover are separated from each other, and the electric wires and the electric wires with terminals can be smoothly and easily attached and detached without causing bending or rubbing of the electric wires. The operation of inserting the electric wire into the press-connecting connector and the operation of inserting the terminal into the connector housing, that is, the production of the sub-harness can be performed efficiently.
[0053]
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, for example, the electric wire having a smaller diameter than the inner surface diameter of the electric wire holding portion can be held by the projection, so that the versatility of the electric wire holder is improved, and various types of electric wires having various diameters are supported. A sub-harness can be manufactured.
[0054]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the worker or the automatic assembler checks the display unit and inserts the electric wire or the terminal at a specified position of the connector or the connector housing, thereby using the electric wire of a single color. The sub-harness can be manufactured with high quality at low cost without erroneous connection or erroneous insertion of terminals.
[0055]
According to the sixth aspect of the invention, a plurality of sub-harnesses can be efficiently manufactured by combining a plurality of electric wire holders.
According to the seventh aspect of the invention, it is possible to form the sub-harness composed of the single-color terminal-equipped electric wire and the connector housing at low cost with good quality and efficiency.
