Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vinyl chloride molded product having an odor problem depending on the use, and a hose suitable for water supply / hot water supply piping such as a shower hose or water supply piping.
More specifically, the present invention relates to a vinyl chloride composition formed by heating and melting vinyl chloride and an additive into a predetermined shape, and a hose comprising the composition.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a hose of this type, an inner layer made of a polyolefin resin having a predetermined thickness, an inner layer tube made of an outer layer made of a thermoplastic elastomer or vulcanized rubber having flexibility, and a reinforcing layer surrounding the outer layer. The content of the anti-aging agent present in the outer layer of the inner surface layer tube is in the range of 0.1 to 5 times the content of the anti-aging agent present in the inner layer. Hose that can maintain the concentration of residual chlorine under the specified conditions and prevent odor and coloration, and is a drawback of conventional flexible water and hot water supply hoses. There has been proposed a water supply / hot water supply hose having improved (calcium resistance) and a longer life (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the deodorizing technique described in the conventional hose cannot be applied to a vinyl chloride composition such as a vinyl chloride hose which is generally widely used.
On the other hand, in the process of manufacturing a hose made of vinyl chloride, it has been studied to deodorize the hose by annealing it in a heating furnace after manufacturing the hose in order to remove the unique odor generated during processing of vinyl chloride. On the other hand, there is another problem that the inner and outer diameters of the hose become smaller and the length becomes shorter.
Therefore, the inventors of the present application studied the cause of odor generation of a vinyl chloride hose, and found that when a mixture of vinyl chloride and additives was heated and dissolved during hose processing, the vinyl chloride polymer was thermally decomposed, for example, xylene, toluene, Volatile organic solvents such as ethylbenzene were generated, and it was found that the oxidized odor of these volatile organic solvents and plasticizers became the odor base.
[0005]
An object of the present invention is to provide a vinyl chloride molded article having no odor by only adding an additive.
A second aspect of the present invention has an object to prevent a reduction in commercial value due to poor appearance while maintaining an odor absorbing function, in addition to the object of the first aspect of the present invention.
The third object of the present invention is to provide a vinyl chloride hose having no odor by only adding an additive.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the invention according to claim 1 of the present invention is characterized in that a suitable amount of hydrotalcite is added to vinyl chloride as an additive to suppress the thermal decomposition of a vinyl chloride polymer and to form a volatile organic solvent. It is characterized in that the generation of the organic solvent is reduced and the generated volatile organic solvent and the like are adsorbed.
The invention according to claim 2 is characterized in that the composition of the invention according to claim 1 is mixed with 1 to 5 parts by weight of hydrotalcite with respect to 100 parts by weight of the vinyl chloride to suppress thermal decomposition of the vinyl chloride polymer, It is characterized by adding a configuration that suppresses blooming of hydrotalcite while adsorbing volatile organic solvents and the like.
The invention according to claim 3 is characterized in that the vinyl chloride composition according to claim 1 or 2 is formed into a cylindrical shape.
[0007]
[Action]
The effect of the invention of claim 1 is that by adding an appropriate amount of hydrotalcite to vinyl chloride, the thermal decomposition of the vinyl chloride polymer is suppressed, the generation of volatile organic solvents and the like are reduced, and the generated volatile organic solvent is generated. Is adsorbed in a short time.
The effect of the invention of claim 2 is that, in addition to the effect of the invention of claim 1, when the addition amount of hydrotalcite to 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride is less than 1 part by weight, the thermal decomposition of the vinyl polymer is suppressed. On the other hand, if the effect is not sufficient for the adsorption of volatile organic solvents and the like, and if the amount is more than 5 parts by weight, blooming of hydrotalcite occurs, causing poor appearance.
The effect of the invention of claim 3 is that, by molding a vinyl chloride composition in which an appropriate amount of hydrotalcite is blended into vinyl chloride as an additive, the thermal decomposition of the vinyl chloride polymer is suppressed and the volatile organic solvent is formed. In addition, the generation of volatile organic solvents and the like are reduced in a short time, or the vinyl chloride composition containing 1 to 5 parts by weight of hydrotalcite is mixed with 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride. By molding into such a shape, blooming of hydrotalcite can be suppressed while obtaining a sufficient effect for suppressing the thermal decomposition of the vinyl polymer and adsorbing a volatile organic solvent.
[0008]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, description will be made based on each embodiment of the present invention.
Examples 1 to 4 show the case of a flexible vinyl chloride composition and a hose made of the same, which are formed into a predetermined shape by heating and melting soft vinyl chloride and additives.
[0009]
As an additive of vinyl chloride, for example, a plasticizer, a stabilizer, a colorant, and the like used in the manufacture of hoses and the like are added in a conventionally well-known addition amount, and by adding an appropriate amount of hydrotalcite, vinyl chloride is added. When the mixture of additives is heated and dissolved, the thermal decomposition of the vinyl chloride polymer is suppressed to reduce the generation of volatile organic solvents such as xylene, toluene, and ethylbenzene, and to absorb the generated volatile organic solvents. Let it.
Here, the hydrotalcite includes a known hydrotalcite compound and the like.
[0010]
In Example 1, 0.5 parts by weight of hydrotalcite was blended with 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride to form a cylindrical hose.
[0011]
In Example 2, 2 parts by weight of hydrotalcite was blended with 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride to form a hose having the same shape as in Example 1.
[0012]
In Example 3, 3 parts by weight of hydrotalcite was blended with 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride to form a hose having the same shape as in Example 1.
[0013]
In Example 4, 5 parts by weight of hydrotalcite was blended with 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride to form a hose having the same shape as in Example 1.
[0014]
Further, as comparative examples, hoses having the same shape as those of Examples 1 to 4 to which no hydrotalcite was added were formed.
[0015]
And the result of having measured the odor intensity | strength of these Examples 1-4 and a comparative example from the molding day to 40 days after is shown in the graph of FIG.
In this odor measurement, an odor measuring device “Calmore II” manufactured by Calmore was used as a measuring device.
[0016]
As a result, in Examples 2 to 4, the odor intensity was sharply reduced to 150 after about one week from the molding date, and after about two weeks, it was close to about half of the comparative example. It was found that the odor intensity reached 100.
[0017]
That is, in the case of a hose, if the hose is managed and distributed so as to reach the consumer about two weeks after the date of manufacture, the consumer will not feel the smell of the hose at all.
[0018]
Subsequently, a hose having a different amount of hydrotalcite added was molded and measured. As a result, when the amount of hydrotalcite added was less than 1 part by weight per 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride, the heat of the vinyl chloride polymer was reduced. It has been found that a sufficient effect on suppression of decomposition and adsorption of volatile organic solvents and the like cannot be obtained.
[0019]
Conversely, if the amount of hydrotalcite added is more than 5 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride, blooming of hydrotalcite (precipitation on the surface) occurs, which causes poor appearance. I understand.
[0020]
On the other hand, the cause of the odor of the vinyl chloride composition is not only the above-mentioned generation of the volatile organic solvent due to the thermal decomposition of the vinyl chloride polymer, but also the oxidation odor of the plasticizer. Paying attention to the addition of the agent, the composition of hydrotalcite and antioxidant was variously changed, and the deodorizing effect was verified.
[0021]
Specifically, Example 5 (containing 0.5 part by weight of an antioxidant with respect to 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride) and Example 6 (containing 0.5 part by weight of hydrotalcite with respect to 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride). Parts by weight and 0.5 parts by weight of an antioxidant) were prepared, and these were mixed with the above-mentioned Example 2 (100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride and 2 parts by weight of hydrotalcite) and Comparative Example FIG. 2 is a graph showing the results of measuring the odor intensity of (without adding any hydrotalcite) from the day of molding to 40 days later.
[0022]
As a result, in Examples 5 and 6 in which an antioxidant was added, the odor intensity was higher than that in Example 2 in which only hydrotalcite was added without adding an antioxidant. It has been found that a sufficient deodorizing effect can be obtained.
[0023]
Although the reason is not always clear, hydrotalcite is a layered double oxide inorganic material, which is generally used as a pharmaceutical product in antacids and photocatalytic adsorbents. In this case, while also functioning as an antioxidant that suppresses the oxidation of the plasticizer, it suppresses the thermal decomposition of the vinyl chloride polymer to reduce the generation of volatile organic solvents and reduce the amount of volatile organic solvents generated. It is considered that it was adsorbed at time.
[0024]
In the above-described examples, only the case of a hose made of a flexible vinyl chloride composition is shown. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, a sheet or other molded article characterized by flexibility may be used. If it is, it is effective.
The same can be said for a vinyl chloride composition made of inflexible hard vinyl chloride.
[0025]
Furthermore, although the structure of the hose was not described in detail, a laminated hose (blade hose) in which a braid (reinforcing yarn) was spirally wound as a reinforcing layer between the inner layer and the outer layer, or an opaque inner layer and a transparent outer layer The reinforcing material is not limited to a band-shaped reinforcing material having a rectangular section in which at least the surface shines in a metallic color, and a spiral reinforcing hose (for-run hose) in which a linear reinforcing material having a circular section is spirally wound and integrated. In addition, between the outer layer and the inner layer, only one of the band-shaped reinforcing material having a rectangular cross-section and the linear reinforcing material having a circular cross-section are wound and integrated, or a thread-like reinforcing material such as glass fiber or flame-retardant fiber is used. Similar deodorization results can be obtained regardless of the structure, such as a conventionally known soft hose in which a material is braided or spirally wound and integrated, or a single-layer structure.
[0026]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the invention according to claim 1 of the present invention suppresses the thermal decomposition of the vinyl chloride polymer by adding an appropriate amount of hydrotalcite to vinyl chloride and reduces the generation of volatile organic solvents and the like. In addition, since the generated volatile organic solvent and the like are adsorbed in a short time, a vinyl chloride molded article having no odor can be provided only by adding an additive.
Therefore, as compared with the conventional method in which annealing is performed in a heating furnace to perform deodorization after production, post-production processing is not required, and the production cost can be reduced.
[0027]
The invention of claim 2 provides the effect of the invention of claim 1, and furthermore, when the addition amount of hydrotalcite to 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride is less than 1 part by weight, suppression of thermal decomposition of the vinyl polymer and volatility If the effect of adsorbing organic solvents is not sufficient, and if the amount is more than 5 parts by weight, blooming of hydrotalcite occurs and causes poor appearance, so the odor adsorbing function is maintained. In addition, it is possible to prevent a decrease in commercial value due to poor appearance.
[0028]
The invention of claim 3 provides, in addition to the effects of the invention of claim 1 or 2, a vinyl chloride composition in which an appropriate amount of hydrotalcite is blended with vinyl chloride as an additive to form a vinyl chloride. The thermal decomposition of the polymer is suppressed to reduce the generation of volatile organic solvents, etc., and the generated volatile organic solvents are adsorbed in a short time, or 1 to 5 parts by weight of hydrotalcite per 100 parts by weight of vinyl chloride. By molding the vinyl chloride composition in which is blended into a cylindrical shape, the blooming of hydrotalcite can be suppressed while suppressing the thermal decomposition of the vinyl polymer and obtaining a sufficient effect on adsorption of volatile organic solvents and the like. A odor-free PVC hose can be provided only by adding additives.
Therefore, as compared with the conventional method in which the hose is annealed in a heating furnace to deodorize the hose after the hose is manufactured, there is no deodorization such as a reduction in the inner and outer diameters of the hose and a decrease in the length. It can be suitably used as water supply / hot water supply piping or water supply piping.
