特に排便時に使用者が排便容易な姿勢をとり得るようにすることが望ましい。排便容易な姿勢とは便器本体に腰かけた使用者がが前かがみになる姿勢である。
このような前かがみになる姿勢をとり易くするために、従来便器本体の前側に腕置台を配置した構成(特許文献1)、あるいは便器本体上面両側に立設した肘掛けの先端部に握持杆を回動可能に取付けた構成(特許文献2)等が提供されている。
