【0004】
デジタル化された入力信号は、FIR(Finite Impulse Response)フィルタ13に供給される。

例えば、入力信号は、CD(Compact Disc)より読み出された信号である場合、EFM(Eight to Fourteen Modulation)変調されており、DVD(Digital Versatile Disc)より読み出された信号である場合、EFM+変調されている。
【0182】

[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a recording / reproducing apparatus such as an optical disc recording / reproducing apparatus, an equalization (EQ: Equalize) process is performed on a reproduced signal read from an optical disc as a recording medium via a pickup, and a reproduction signal near the shortest repetition frequency (high). By emphasizing the frequency components in the range, reproduction jitter is reduced and the system margin is expanded.
[0003]
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a configuration example of a conventional digital signal processing device. In FIG. 1, an input signal input to a digital signal processing device 10 is cut in a high-pass by a low-pass filter (LPF: Low-Pass Filter) 11 to limit a band, and then A / D (Analog / Digital). ) Converted to a digital signal in a converter.

[0013]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described method, the waveform equalizer can set a large amount of boost in a high frequency range with respect to the read signal, so that the S / N ratio can be improved without causing jitter in the read signal. However, there is a problem that the influence of intersymbol interference when skew or the like is added cannot be reduced.

The present invention has been made in view of such a situation, and is intended to more effectively suppress a jitter level and expand a system margin.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
FIG. 3 is a block diagram illustrating a configuration example of a digital signal processing device to which the present invention has been applied.
[0052]
In FIG. 3, a digital signal processing device 30 is a device that performs signal processing on a signal read from a recording medium such as an optical disk, and includes a low-pass filter (LPF) 31 that blocks a high-frequency component of an input signal, An A /

The sampling frequency may be any value, but since the signal is modulated as described later, it is an integral multiple of the frequency (minimum repetition frequency) at which the minimum pattern is repeated in the modulation method. Is desirable.
[0057]
The
[0058]
The input signal input to the digital signal processing device 30 is a signal read from a recording medium such as an optical disk, and is modulated by a predetermined method. In these recording media, data is recorded by the NRZI (Non Return to Zero Invert) method. However, in the case of data in which bits of a value “1” are continuous, the data is recorded while the polarity is finely inverted, and read by a pickup. Becomes difficult. Therefore, the data recorded on the recording medium is obtained by modulating a pattern in which the bits of the value “1” are continuous into a pattern including the bits of the value “0”. For example, if the input signal is a signal read from a CD (Compact Disc), it is EFM (Eight to Fourteen Modulation) modulated, and if the input signal is a signal read from a DVD (Digital Versatile Disc), it is EFM +. Modulated. The input signal may be modulated by another modulation method such as 1-7 modulation.
[0059]
In the above modulation scheme, the shortest cycle in which the waveform of the modulated signal repeats the same pattern is called the shortest repetition cycle, and the frequency is called the shortest repetition frequency. For example, if the time of 1-bit data is T, the shortest repetition cycle is 6T (3T + 3T) in the case of EFM or EFM +, and the shortest repetition cycle is 4T (2T + 2T) in the case of 1-7 modulation. That is, the shortest repetition frequency is 1 / 6T in the case of EFM or EFM +, and is 1 / 4T in the case of 1-7 modulation.

Since the sampling frequency of the up-sampled signal is twice (2 fs), which is an integer multiple of the original, the Nyquist frequency, which is half the sampling frequency, is also double (fs).

By this upsampling process, as shown in FIG. 11, the shape of the spectrum group of the frequency components included in the signal does not change, but the sampling frequency changes from fs to 2fs (two-dot chain line), and the Nyquist frequency changes to (1 / 2 × fs) (dotted line). Therefore, in FIG. 11, the frequency components included in the up-sampled signal have a structure in which the frequency components (the

FIG. 15 is a graph showing a relationship between a skew (phase difference) of an input signal and a reproduction jitter occurrence rate in the digital signal processing device 30 and a conventional digital signal processing device.
[0118]
In FIG. 15, the horizontal axis of the graph indicates the skew (tan skew) (unit is “deg”) of the input signal, and the vertical axis of the graph indicates the reproduction jitter occurrence rate (jitter) (unit is “%”). ). A
[0119]
For example, when the reproduction jitter occurrence rate is 12.5% or less, it is assumed that the system in which the digital signal processing device 30 or the conventional digital signal processing device is applied can operate. As shown in FIG. 15, when the conventional digital signal processing device shown by the
[0120]
Therefore, the digital signal processing apparatus of FIG. 3 to which the present invention is applied can reduce the influence of intersymbol interference when skew or the like is added, and can effectively reduce the jitter for such a signal. The level can be suppressed and the margin of the system can be expanded.
[0121]
Further, for example, a digital signal processing device 30 to which a signal (an input signal having a minimum repetition period of 6T (3T + 3T)) modulated by EFM or EFM + read from a recording medium such as a CD or a DVD is input, or The 3T eye pattern of this digital signal processing device has a waveform as shown in FIG.
[0122]
In FIG. 16, the horizontal axis of the graph indicates time, and the vertical axis indicates amplitude. 3T eye patterns for the output signal of the conventional digital signal processing device are shown by curves 81-1 to 81-6, and the 3T eye pattern for the output signal of the digital signal processing device 30 of FIG. And curve 86-6. In this case, the digital signal processing device 30 adds an imaging component of 40% of the original high frequency side imaging component (original component) to the original component. As shown in FIG. 16, digital signal processing is performed on an area indicated by a vertical line surrounded by curves 81-1 to 81-6, which is an "eye" of an eye pattern in a conventional digital signal processing device. The area indicated by the horizontal line and surrounded by the curves 86-1 to 86-6, which are the "eyes" of the eye pattern in the device 30, is widened.
[0123]
That is, the digital signal processing device 30 adds the imaging component to increase the rise of the signal waveform, thereby reducing the reproduction jitter of the input signal having the shortest repetition period of 6T without increasing the intersymbol interference amount. It can improve or increase the margin of the system.
[0124]
FIG. 17 is a diagram showing an example of a waveform of a 2T eye pattern of the digital signal processing device 30 to which an input signal whose shortest repetition cycle is 4T (2T + 2T) or a conventional digital signal processing device.
[0125]
For example, when the shortest repetition period of an input signal is 4T, such as a signal subjected to 1-7 modulation used for a next-generation DVD or 8-10 modulation used for a DAT or the like, FIG. As can be seen, the eye pattern for the output signal of a conventional digital signal processor is shown by curves 91-94, and the eye pattern for the output signal of digital signal processor 30 is shown by curves 96-99. In this case, the digital signal processing device 30 adds an imaging component of 40% of the original high frequency side imaging component (original component) to the original component.
[0126]
As shown in FIG. 17, an area of a vertical line surrounded by
[0127]
That is, the digital signal processing device 30 adds the imaging component to increase the rise of the signal waveform, thereby reducing the reproduction jitter of the input signal having the shortest repetition period of 4T without increasing the intersymbol interference amount. It can improve or increase the margin of the system.
[0128]
As described above, the digital signal processing device 30 can more effectively suppress the jitter level and expand the system margin.
[0129]
Although FIGS. 16 and 17 have been described such that an imaging component of 40% of the original high-frequency side imaging component (original component) is added to the original component, the ratio may be any ratio. . However, if too many imaging components are added to the original components, the waveform of the eye pattern may be destroyed. Therefore, it is usually preferable to add about 50% or less of the imaging components to the original components.
