Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine which can perform error detection with ease and accuracy corresponding to every detection of various article information by detecting an article without failure at an article delivery outlet of the vending machine or at the article passage through which the article is lead to the outlet. <P>SOLUTION: A non-contact IC tag is set on the article, and an IC reader 9 which reads article information out of the non-contact IC tag is set by the commodity delivery outlet on the article passage of the vending machine. A delivery unit 7, article selection buttons 3, the IC reader 9, a buzzer 5, a timer 22, and a modem 23 are connected to a controller 21. 本発明は、自動販売機に関し、特に、商品の投出に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、自動販売機の商品や売上金の盗難は、扉部分の破壊による強奪が多かったが、近年、自動販売機の強度が高まったことにより、そうした扉部分を破壊して金品を強奪する手口よりも、商品取出口から直接手を入れたり、自動販売機本体を揺さぶって商品コラムから商品を落下させて抜き取るといった手口が増えている。そして、従来はこうした手口による盗難を防ぐために、振動センサによって自動販売機が破壊される際の振動を検知するとともに自動販売機本体の揺さぶりを検知して警報を出すようにしている。

しかし、この方法では、振動センサは調整が難しくて、感度を上げると、販売時の商品の落下による衝撃や、扉開閉時の振動や、自動販売機の近くを人や車が通ったことによる振動によってもセンサが反応してしまうことがあり、そうした誤反応を防ぐために感度を下げると、いざ盗難が発生したときにセンサがうまく働かない恐れがあった。また、自動販売機には、盗難以外に、商品投出時に発生する詰まりや過投出のような投出不良の検知や、商品コラムに本来設定されている銘柄とは違った銘柄の商品が装填されてしまう装填不良等を検知する手段が必要で、盗難検知のための振動センサではそうした投出不良や装填不良等を検知する事はできず、これらを検知するには別途センサを設ける必要があって、部品点数が増え、コスト高になっていた。こうした問題は未だ解決されていない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
商品に蛍光剤を塗装し、自動販売機の商品受入部に紫外線発光光源と受光器を設けて、払い出された商品の蛍光剤に紫外線を当てて蛍光剤の発光を受光器で受光することで商品の銘柄等を判別する上記従来の技術は、装填防止だけでなく、抜き取り検知や投出不良検知にも対応可能である。しかしながら、上記従来の技術では、抜き取り検知、投出不良検知、装填不良検知のいずれに対応するにしても、まずは自動販売機の商品受入部において商品情報を蛍光剤から確実に検知できなくてはならず、そのためには紫外線発光光源や受光器の設置場所を払い出された商品の蛍光剤塗装部位に臨む位置に設ける必要があり、あるいは紫外線発光光源や受光器の設置場所に合わせて商品の蛍光剤塗装部位を設定する必要があって、それが自動販売機や商品の設計上の制約になってしまう。

また、紫外線発光光源や受光器の設置場所が適正であっても、投出された商品の姿勢や商品の形状によっては、商品に塗装された蛍光剤が紫外線発光光源の方向を向かないことがあったり、蛍光剤の発光を受光器がうまく受光できないこともある。

そして、上記従来の技術のように商品に塗装した蛍光剤から商品情報を検知するのでは、商品の各銘柄や値段等の多様な商品情報の検知を必要とする場合に対応が困難である。

本発明は、上記従来の問題点に鑑みてなされてものであり、自動販売機の商品取出口あるいは該商品取出口へ商品を導く商品通路において商品を確実に検知でき、多様な商品情報の検知にも対応できるようにすることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、商品に非接触式ICタグを設けることとし、その非接触ICタグから商品情報を電波式の読取手段(ICリーダー)により読み取るよう自動販売機を構成することで上記課題を解決するものである。

すなわち、請求項1に係る発明の自動販売機は、購入する商品を選択する商品選択手段と、複数の商品を収納する商品収納手段と、前記商品選択手段により選択された商品を前記商品収納手段から投出する商品投出手段と、前記商品収納手段から前記商品投出手段により投出された商品が払い出される商品取出口と、前記商品収納手段から投出された商品を前記商品取出口へ導く商品通路とを備えるとともに、制御部を備え、該制御部が前記商品投出手段に投出動作を行うよう指示する自動販売機において、商品に設けられた非接触式ICタグから商品情報を読み取る電磁波式の読取手段を前記商品通路あるいは前記商品取出口に設けたことを特徴とする。

この実施の形態の自動販売機は、図1に示すように、自動販売機本体1の前面に扉体2を備え、該扉体2の前面に、購入する商品を選択する商品選択手段である商品選択釦3と、商品が払い出される商品取出口4とが設けられ、扉体2の内側には、盗難( 抜き取り)、投出不良、装填不良等の異常が発生した時に警報を鳴らして報知する報知手段であるブザー5が設けられている。

この自動販売機の商品コラム6には、図2に示すように各々に銘柄や値段等の商品情報が書き込まれた非接触式の記録媒体である非接触式ICタグ10を設けた商品11を収納する。非接触式ICタグ10は、商品11の中に入れてもよく、シールとして商品に貼り付けてもよく、包装紙の内側に入れてもよく、商品の任意の位置に任意の態様で設けることができる。
