Abstract
Description
【0001】

According to the fifth aspect of the invention, the content of the benzotriazole-based compound in the ink receiving layer is set to 9% by weight to 13% by weight, so that the effect of the fourth aspect can be further enhanced. it can. Specifically, in particular, the sharpness of printing is further improved.
[0019]
According to the invention as set forth in claim 6, since the printing layer is formed by using the ink jet printing method, a plate or the like used for screen printing or the like becomes unnecessary, thereby reducing the number of printing work steps and reducing the cost. It is possible to print a display panel for an automobile instrument at a low cost.

[0025]
The cross section of the light-transmitting portion includes a display panel substrate 30 provided at the center in the thickness direction, anchor layers 31 and 32 formed on the front and back sides of the display panel substrate 30, And ink receiving layers 33 and 34 formed on the front and back sides of the
[0026]
The display panel substrate 30 is made of a substantially transparent synthetic resin, for example, polycarbonate (PC), polycarbonate ABS, ABS, or the like. The anchor layers 31 and 32 and the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 can be formed by various methods such as coating with a coater or screen printing, and the number of times of coating and the number of printings are not limited. The anchor layers 31 and 32 are each formed to a thickness of about 2 μm, and the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 are each formed to a thickness of 20 μm.
[0027]
The ink receiving layers 33 and 34 contain an ink receiving resin. In general, a resin for an ink receiving layer of an ink jet recording material is used. Resins are preferably used. Examples of such an ink receptive resin include synthetic resins such as polyvinyl alcohol and water-soluble cellulose resins, and natural resins such as gelatin and casein. Particularly, aqueous polyurethane resins having a polycarbonate chain as a structural unit are exemplified. Is preferably used because of its relatively good light resistance. The aqueous polyurethane resin having a polycarbonate chain as a structural unit is preferably contained in an amount of 25% by weight or more, and more preferably 50% by weight or more, based on the total weight of the ink receiving layers 33 and 34. The aqueous polyurethane resin having a polycarbonate chain as a constitutional unit can be obtained by a known production method such as a method in which a polyol containing a polycarbonate chain is reacted with a diisocyanate in a solvent, followed by emulsification.
[0028]
Further, the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 contain a benzotriazole-based compound in an amount of more than 7% by weight and not more than 15% by weight based on the total weight of the ink receiving layers 33 and 34. Among these, a preferable range of the content is 9% by weight to 13% by weight.
[0029]
Specific benzotriazole compounds to be contained in the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 include (a) phenyl-5-benzotriazole carboxylate, (b) methyl-5-benzotriazole carboxylate, and (c) phenyl-1- {4-hydroxy-3- [N- (2-tetradecyloxyphenyl) carbamoyl] -1-naphthyloxymethyl} -1H-benzotriazole-5-carboxylate, (d) phenyl-1- {4-hydroxy- 3- [N- (2-tetradecyloxyphenyl) carbamoyl] -1-naphthyloxymethyl} -1H-benzotriazole-6-carboxylate, (e) 5-benzotriazolecarboxylic acid, (f) benzotriazole-5 -Carboxylic acid, (g) 1-alkyloyl benzotriazole (provided that Alkyloyl has 8 to 24 carbon atoms), (h) 1-alkenoylbenzotriazole (however, alkenoyl has 8 to 24 carbon atoms), and (i) benzotriazole-based polyalkylene glycol as a structural unit And at least one of them.
[0030]
As the benzotriazole-based compound, any of the above (a) to (i) is not particularly limited, and any compound can be used. In particular, (i) a benzotriazole-based compound having a polyalkylene glycol as a structural unit Is preferred. More specifically, the polyalkylene glycol includes polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, and the like. Among them, polyethylene glycol is preferably used. The molecular weight of the polyalkylene glycol is not particularly limited, but is preferably about 300 in number average molecular weight. In addition, as a benzotriazole-based compound having a polyalkylene glycol as a structural unit, a compound represented by the following formula (Formula 1) can be given. A in the formula represents a polyalkylene glycol. The chemical name is "condensate of methyl-3- [3-t-butyl-5- (2H-benzotriazol-2-yl) -4-hydroxyphenyl] propionate and polyalkylene glycol".
[0031]
Embedded image
By containing such a specific benzotriazole-based compound, bronzing can be prevented without lowering the light resistance of the print layers 35 and 36. It is considered that this is because these substances are cationic and have an ultraviolet absorbing ability.
[0032]
The ink receiving layers 33 and 34 may be made of clay, talc, diatomaceous earth, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, aluminum silicate, titanium oxide, in addition to the above-mentioned water-soluble or hydrophilic resin and a specific benzotriazole-based compound. , Zinc oxide, silicon dioxide, synthetic zeolites, alumina, smectite and other inorganic pigments. By adding an inorganic pigment, the ink absorbency can be increased, and blocking can be prevented. The addition amount of these inorganic pigments is about 5 to 200 parts by weight based on 100 of the resin. If necessary, additives such as an antifoaming agent, a leveling agent, a light stabilizer, and a pigment may be added.
[0033]
The printing layers 35 and 36 can be formed by, for example, an inkjet printing method. According to this ink jet printing method, it can be formed by spraying small droplets of, for example, black ink BK on the surfaces of the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 and allowing them to penetrate. [0036]
First, as shown in FIG. 2, the anchor layers 31 and 32 are applied to the front and back surfaces of the display panel substrate 30 using a coater, for example, so that the film thickness is about 2 μm. Next, the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 are applied on the anchor layers 31 and 32 with a coater or the like. Then, printing layers 35 and 36 are printed on the
[0037]
According to the present embodiment, it is possible to obtain a display panel for an automobile instrument that is less likely to fade when irradiated with ultraviolet light. In addition, as a result of performing inkjet printing using the aqueous pigment ink, a display plate having almost no bronzing was obtained. As described above, not only the ink receiving layer itself but also the display panel having the printing layer formed on the ink receiving layer can improve the light resistance.
[0038]
【Example】
Next, the present invention will be specifically described with reference to examples.
[0039]
First, as shown in FIG. 2, anchor layers 31 and 32 are applied using a coater on the front and back surfaces of a display panel substrate 30 made of polycarbonate so as to have a thickness of 2 μm. Each of the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 mainly composed of an aqueous polyurethane resin having a polycarbonate chain as a constitutional unit was applied using a coater so as to have a thickness of 20 μm. In the ink receiving layers 33 and 34, a predetermined amount of a benzotriazole-based compound having a polyalkylene glycol as a structural unit is added to the whole of the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 (in Table 1, the compound weight shown in the table is used). Ratio, in FIGS. 3 to 5, 4.4 wt% and 9.5 wt%).
[0040]
Then, printing layers 35 and 36 were formed on the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 of the light-shielding
[0041]
An ultraviolet exposure test was performed on the display panel described above. The results are shown in Table 1 and the graphs in FIGS. The results shown in Table 1 are based on the results of an ultraviolet exposure test using a Sunshine Super Long Life Weather Meter manufactured by Suga Test Machine (conducted without water at a black panel temperature of 83 ° C.) and a color difference meter CR-300 manufactured by Minolta. It was measured using.
[0042]
[Table 1]
FIG. 3 is a graph showing the results obtained by performing an ultraviolet exposure test on the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 formed thereon and examining the change over time in color difference. FIGS. 4 and 5 are graphs showing the results of an ultraviolet exposure test performed on the printed
[0043]
As shown in FIG. 3, the content of the benzotriazole-based compound in the ink receiving layers 33 and 34 is 9.5% by weight (Example of the present invention) far more than that of 4.4% by weight (Comparative Example). It was also found that the color difference was little deteriorated with time and the light resistance was improved. Specifically, when the content of the benzotriazole-based compound was 9.5% by weight (Example of the present invention), the light resistance was improved by 87% as compared with the case of the content of 4.4% by weight (Comparative Example). . Also, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the light resistance of the display panel on which the printed
