Abstract
Description
【0001】
p4 =p1 +p2 −p1 p2
パス1:{1,3} パス2:{2,5}
パス3:{1,4,5} パス4:{2,4,3}
S−T間信頼度=Pr(E1 ∪E2 ∪E3 ∪E4 )
となる。
【0024】
R(G)=pe R(Ge )+(1−pe )R(Ge * )・・・式(1)
pc =pa pb
λc =λa +λb
px1px2…pxn → px1px2…pxn(λx1+λx2+…+λxn)
p1 p3 (λ1 +λ3 )+p2 p5 (λ2 +λ5 )
+p1 p4 p5 (λ1 +λ4 +λ5 )
+p2 p4 p3 (λ2 +λ4 +λ3 )
−p1 p3 p2 p5 (λ1 +λ3 +λ2 +λ5 )
−p1 p3 p4 p5 (λ1 +λ3 +λ4 +λ5 )
−p1 p3 p2 p4 (λ1 +λ3 +λ2 +λ4 )
−p2 p5 p1 p4 p5 (λ2 +λ5 +λ1 +λ4 +λ5 )
−p2 p5 p4 p3 (λ2 +λ5 +λ4 +λ3 )
−p1 p4 p5 p2 p4 (λ1 +λ4 +λ5 +λ2 +λ4 )
+p1 p3 p2 p5 p4 (λ1 +λ3 +λ2 +λ5 +λ4 )
+p1 p2 p5 p4 p3 (λ1 +λ2 +λ5 +λ4 +λ3 )
+p1 p3 p4 p5 p2 (λ1 +λ3 +λ4 +λ5 +λ2 )
+p2 p5 p1 p4 p3 (λ2 +λ5 +λ1 +λ4 +λ3 )
−p1 p3 p2 p5 p4 (λ1 +λ3 +λ2 +λ5 +λ4 )

任意のi∈Lに対して、D(pi )=pi λi ・・・式(3)
D(f+g)=D(f)+D(g) ・・・式(4)
D(fg)=D(f)g+fD(g) ・・・式(5)
D(f−g)=D(f)−D(g) ・・・式(6)
という性質のあることが知られている(「M.Hayashi,”System failure frequency analysis using differential operator”,IEEE Trans.,R−40,pp.601−609(1991) 」参照)。
【0070】

f(G)=Pe ・f(Ge )+(E−Pe )・f(Ge * )
【0115】
関数fの次の手続きとして、関数f(Ge ’ )と関数f(Ge * ’ )とが計算される。
【0116】
【0120】
このようにして、f(Ge ’ )とf(Ge * ’ )とが求められると、式(2)に従って、
【0121】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a communication network failure frequency calculation method and apparatus for calculating a failure frequency at which communication between two designated nodes of a communication network becomes impossible, and a communication network used to realize the communication network failure frequency calculation method. The present invention relates to a failure frequency calculation program and a recording medium on which the program is recorded.
[0002]
More specifically, the present invention relates to a technique for calculating an average value (failure frequency) of failures in which communication between a certain node S and a certain node T becomes impossible in a communication network. It is.
[0003]
[Prior art]
The reliability of a communication network indicates the degree or nature of stable communication. The communication network is composed of points and lines, where points represent communication devices (switches, multiplexers, etc.), and lines represent line devices. A communication device represented by a point is hereinafter referred to as a node, and a line device represented by a line is hereinafter referred to as a link.
[0004]
First, the reliability of a communication network is focused on two specific nodes (written as S and T, respectively), and the probability of communication between the nodes of interest (reliability between S and T; hereafter, ST) This may be described as inter-reliability), or the average occurrence frequency of failures in which communication between the nodes of interest becomes impossible (failure frequency between S and T. Hereinafter, failure frequency between S and T may be described. Is).
[0005]
The ST reliability is expressed as a probability of taking a value in the range of 0 to 1, while the ST failure frequency is expressed, for example, on a scale of how many times a year. Both the ST reliability and the ST failure frequency are used as important reliability evaluation scales.
[0006]
Here, it is assumed that the node does not fail. The reason is that nodes are often assumed to be surrounded by a robust station in the communication network, and that in the station, maintenance personnel can immediately recover if a failure occurs. In consideration of the above, it is considered that the occurrence of the failure can be ignored compared to the failure of the line device caused by the disconnection of the cable outside the office, which is not easy to maintain when the failure occurs.
[0007]
Under this assumption, the ST reliability and S−T are determined from the normal probability (probability of being normal (not faulty)) of each link and the failure rate (average number of failures per unit time) of each link. Although there are several methods for calculating the T-to-T fault frequency, there are three basic methods. For ease of explanation, the reliability between STs will be described first.
[0008]
There are three methods for calculating the ST-T reliability, namely, a degeneration method, a path method, and a decomposition method described below.
(1) Simplify the shape of a communication network while preserving the reliability of the communication network (degenerate method).
(2) List all communication paths between the nodes of interest and calculate the probability that at least one communication path exists (path method).
(3) Focusing on a certain link, decompose it into two communication networks: a communication network in which two nodes connected to the link are regarded as one, and a communication network in which the link is removed. The reliability of the first communication network is calculated from the reliability of two communication networks (decomposition method).
[0009]
Next, the outline of these three methods will be described.
[0010]
A case where the reliability between S and T is calculated in the communication network configuration of FIG. 20 will be described. For the sake of explanation, it is assumed that the links are given numbers as shown in the figure. Hereinafter, each link is identified by this number. Then, the probability that the link i is normal is piI do.
[0011]
In the communication network shown in FIG. 20, even if one of the
[0012]
That is, as shown in FIG. 21, the two links of
[0013]
Replacing the communication network with a simpler configuration without changing the reliability between S and T in this way is called degeneration, and the operation of replacing a link of a parallel configuration with one link as shown in FIG. 21 is a parallel degeneration. Call.
[0014]
The communication network obtained by the degeneration in FIG. 21 includes the
[0015]
In other words, as shown in FIG. 22, the two links of
[0016]
As shown in FIG. 22, an operation of replacing a link having a serial configuration with one link is called serial degeneration.
[0017]
Eventually, the communication network of FIG. 20 can be replaced with an equivalent one link as shown in FIG. In this case, since the ST-T reliability is the probability that S and T can communicate with each other, it is clearly p5It is.
[0018]
From the conversion equation of serial degeneration in FIG. 22,
ST-T reliability = p5= P4p3
Becomes However, from the parallel degeneration conversion equation of FIG.
p4= P1+ P2-P1p2
Thus, after all, the ST-T reliability is
ST-T reliability = p5= P4p3= (P1+ P2-P1p2) P3
It is requested as follows.
[0019]
As described above, if the communication network is configured in series and in parallel, the reliability between S and T can be obtained using degeneration. However, when a configuration that is neither serial nor parallel is included, for example, in the case of FIG. 23 called a bridge, the reliability between S and T cannot be obtained only by the degeneration method. In this case, a pass method or a decomposition method is used.
[0020]
The path method enumerates a minimum set of links (hereinafter, referred to as paths) necessary to secure communication between S and T, and obtains a probability that at least one path can be used.
[0021]
For example, if
[0022]
According to the definition of such a minimal link set, in the case of FIG.
Pass 1: {1, 3} Pass 2: {2, 5}
Pass 3: {1, 4, 5} Pass 4: {2, 4, 3}
It turns out that there are four.
[0023]
The degree of reliability between S and T that needs to be obtained is based on the event that all links belonging to path j (j = 1, 2,...) Are normal.jgiven that,
ST-T reliability = Pr (E1∪E2∪E3∪E4)
Becomes
[0024]
If the right-hand side of this equation is expanded using, for example, the exclusion principle (see “Fujiki,“ Reliability Theory of Systems ”, IEICE, 59, 4, p. 346 (1984)), the ST-T reliability Is
Is required.
[0025]
The path method is not limited to a communication network configuration including serial and parallel communication, and can be applied to the calculation of reliability between S and T of a communication network having an arbitrary shape.
[0026]
In addition, as a method of calculating the reliability between S and T of a communication network having an arbitrary shape, there is a method called a decomposition method. This is a calculation method based on the following operation.
[0027]
In this decomposition method,
<1> First, paying attention to one link of the communication network for which the reliability between S and T is to be obtained, the communication network and the link of interest are removed, and both ends of the link of interest are regarded as one node. Create a communication network (hereinafter, this operation is called short circuit removal),
<2> Subsequently, a communication network in which the link of interest is removed (hereinafter, this operation is referred to as release removal) is generated (the operation of generating two communication networks by <1> <2> is referred to as “disassembly of communication network”). Do) ",
<3> Subsequently, from the obtained reliability between the S and T of the two communication networks, the reliability between the S and T of the communication network before decomposition is calculated by a certain conversion formula.
, The reliability between S and T of the communication network having an arbitrary shape is calculated.
[0028]
For example, when the communication network of FIG. 23 is disassembled by focusing on the
[0029]
Now, the communication network is represented by G, and the reliability between G and S and T is represented by R (G). In G, the communication network obtained by short-circuiting link e is referred to as G.e, The communication network obtained by releasing the link ee *If you write
R (G) = peR (Ge) + (1-pe) R (Ge *) ... Equation (1)
Where pe: Probability that link e is normal
It is known that Expression (1) holds.
[0030]
In the case of FIG. 24, the reliability between S and T to be obtained can be calculated using serial-parallel degeneration and equation (1).
[0031]
That is, for the communication network obtained by removing the short circuit of the link 4 (the communication network on the left side of FIG. 24), the serial-parallel degeneration is used,
ST-T reliability = (p1+ P2-P1p2) (P3+ P5-P3p5)
Holds. On the other hand, the communication network obtained by releasing the link 4 (the communication network on the right side of FIG. 24) is similarly degenerated using serial / parallel degeneration.
ST-T reliability = p1p3+ P2p5-P1p2p3p5
Holds.
[0032]
Therefore, the reliability between the S and T of the communication network before the decomposition to be obtained is calculated by using the above equation (1).
Is required.
[0033]
If the communication network obtained by the decomposition can be expressed by a combination of serial and parallel, the reliability can be calculated by the above method. If it cannot be expressed only in series and parallel, the decomposition may be repeated. FIG. 25 shows an example of a more complex decomposition.
[0034]
In this way, the reliability between S and T of a communication network having an arbitrary shape can be calculated based on the decomposition method.
[0035]
As described above, it is known that the reliability between S and T of a communication network can be obtained using the degeneration method, the path method, and the decomposition method.
[0036]
However, as the number of nodes and links of the communication network increases, the amount of calculation becomes enormous, and it is expected that the calculation of reliability of a large-scale communication network will be difficult in terms of calculation time.
[0037]
Therefore, the calculation speed of the path method and the decomposition method has already been studied, and it is said that the decomposition method is much faster than the path method and is a realistic calculation method at present ("Hayashi, Abe"). , "Performance evaluation of network reliability calculation algorithm", IEICE Spring Conference A-6 (1991)).
[0038]
On the other hand, even when the frequency of failure between S and T is to be obtained, the same calculation procedure as the reliability between S and T can be used.
[0039]
In this case, the link i has the normal probability piTogether with the failure rate λiIt is assumed that (1 / (average time from repair to failure again) is given.
[0040]
For parallel degeneracy,
It is known that degeneration can be performed by the following conversion formula (see “M. Hayashi,“ System failure frequency analysis using differential operator ”, IEEE Trans., R-40, pp. 601-609 (1991)). Here, a and b are the numbers of the two links before the degeneration, and c is the link number after the degeneration.
[0041]
On the other hand, for serial degeneration,
pc= Papb
λc= Λa+ Λb
It is known that degeneration can be performed by the following conversion formula (see “M. Hayashi,“ System failure frequency analysis using differential operator ”, IEEE Trans., R-40, pp. 601-609 (1991)). Similarly, a and b are the numbers of the two links before the degeneration, and c is the link number after the degeneration.
[0042]
According to these equations, for example, in the communication network of FIG.
(P1λ1+ P2λ2-P1p2(Λ1+ Λ2)) / (P1+ P2-P1p2) + Λ3
Becomes
[0043]
Here, regarding the failure frequency, reliability, and failure rate between S and T in a communication network having one link,
ST failure frequency = (ST reliability) × (ST failure rate)
It is known that the following relational expression holds (see “M. Hayashi,“ System failure frequency analysis using differential operator ”, IEEE Trans., R-40, pp. 601-609 (1991)).
[0044]
According to this relational expression, the failure frequency between S and T in the communication network of FIG.
Is required.
[0045]
As described above, the degeneration method can be used to calculate the failure frequency between S and T.
[0046]
For the pass method, during the calculation procedure using the pass method,
px1px2... pxn → px1px2... pxn(Λx1+ Λx2+ ... + λxn)
Where x1 to xn are any link numbers
It is known that the calculated value after the conversion is the failure frequency between S and T (“WG Schneweiss,” “Computing failure frequency, MTBF & MTTR via mixed products availability”). unavaibilities ", IEEE Trans. Vol. R-30, pp. 362-363 (1981)").
[0047]
For example, the failure frequency between S and T in the communication network of FIG.
ST-T fault frequency =
p1p3(Λ1+ Λ3) + P2p5(Λ2+ Λ5)
+ P1p4p5(Λ1+ Λ4+ Λ5)
+ P2p4p3(Λ2+ Λ4+ Λ3)
-P1p3p2p5(Λ1+ Λ3+ Λ2+ Λ5)
-P1p3p4p5(Λ1+ Λ3+ Λ4+ Λ5)
-P1p3p2p4(Λ1+ Λ3+ Λ2+ Λ4)
-P2p5p1p4p5(Λ2+ Λ5+ Λ1+ Λ4+ Λ5)
-P2p5p4p3(Λ2+ Λ5+ Λ4+ Λ3)
-P1p4p5p2p4(Λ1+ Λ4+ Λ5+ Λ2+ Λ4)
+ P1p3p2p5p4(Λ1+ Λ3+ Λ2+ Λ5+ Λ4)
+ P1p2p5p4p3(Λ1+ Λ2+ Λ5+ Λ4+ Λ3)
+ P1p3p4p5p2(Λ1+ Λ3+ Λ4+ Λ5+ Λ2)
+ P2p5p1p4p3(Λ2+ Λ5+ Λ1+ Λ4+ Λ3)
-P1p3p2p5p4(Λ1+ Λ3+ Λ2+ Λ5+ Λ4)
Is required.
[0048]
As described above, it is known that the failure frequency between S and T can be calculated by the degeneration method and the path method.
[0049]
Here, the degeneration method for converting a configuration consisting of two links into one link has been described, but one of the present inventors has proposed another type of degeneration method in

However, the degeneration method proposed in

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, in the related art, the failure frequency between S and T is calculated by the degeneration method and the path method.
[0053]
However, the calculation using the degenerate method and the path method requires a huge number of calculation terms when the number of nodes and links in the communication network increases, and difficulties arise in terms of calculation time even when using a high-speed computer. .
[0054]
From this, as for the calculation of the failure frequency between S and T, similar to the calculation of the reliability between S and T (which can be calculated using the decomposition method as described above), a high-speed decomposition method is used. There is a need for a technique to be used.
[0055]
However, in the prior art, there is a procedure corresponding to the equation (1) for calculating a parameter required for the decomposition method and required for calculating the failure frequency between S and T of the communication network before the decomposition from the communication network after the decomposition. Because it was not known, the failure frequency could not be calculated using the decomposition method.
[0056]
In this connection, the present inventor used the decomposition method in "Hayashi, Abe," Evaluation of Network Reliability Calculation Algorithm Performance ", Spring IEICE, A-6 (1991)". Although we report the results of numerical experiments on the frequency of failures, this academic paper does not disclose at all how the decomposition method was actually used.
[0057]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and uses a procedure for calculating parameters required for failure frequency calculation before disassembly from a disassembled communication network, so that two nodes designated by the communication network are provided. It is an object of the present invention to provide a new communication network failure frequency calculation technique that enables a high-speed calculation of a failure frequency at which communication between the apparatuses becomes impossible.
[0058]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve this object, the present invention provides a method for calculating a failure frequency of a communication network before decomposition from a communication network after decomposition, which is necessary for calculating a failure frequency between S and T using a decomposition method. As a procedure for calculating various parameters, a means using the following equation (2) is prepared.
[0059]
(Equation 1)
However,
[0060]
(Equation 2)
It is.
[0061]
Here, R (G) represents the reliability between S and T of the communication network G, and F (G) represents the failure frequency between S and T of the communication network G. Also, e is a link to be focused on when applying the decomposition, peIs the normal probability of link e, λeRepresents the failure rate of the link e.
[0062]
In order to clarify the application image of Expression (2), an example in which Expression (2) is applied to the communication network of FIG. 23 will be described.
[0063]
Now, in the communication network of FIG.1= P2= P3= P4= P5= 0.99, λ1= Λ2= Λ3= Λ4= Λ5= 0.02.

R (G4) = 0.9998, F (G4) = 0.0079
R (G4 *) = 0.9996, F (G4 *) = 0.0156
Is required.
From now, using equation (2),
[0065]
(Equation 3)
In the communication network of FIG. 23, the failure frequency between S and T is determined to be “0.00080”.
[0066]
Next, the validity of equation (2) will be described.
[0067]
A set of link numbers of the communication network G is L = {1, 2,..., N}. Furthermore, p1, P2, ..., pNLet X be the entire function with1, P2, ..., pN, Λ1, Λ2, ..., λNLet Y be the entire function having

[0107]
On the other hand, as a result of repeating the serial-parallel degeneration until the degeneration can no longer be performed, if the degenerated communication network data does not become one link, an arbitrary link e is selected, and G is decomposed using the decomposing unit 12.eAnd Ge *Is generated, and by calling itself (function f), f (Ge) And f (Ge *) Is calculated.

Since the number of links does not decrease even further by applying the degeneration, the operation of decomposing G 'is applied,e’And Ge *’Is generated. For example, when
[0115]
As a procedure following the function f, a function f (Ge’) And the function f (Ge *′) Is calculated.
[0116]
First, f (Ge′) Is applied with degeneracy, and G shown in FIG.e'Is reduced to one link as shown in FIG. In this way, since one link has been reduced, f (Ge’)

Is returned as a value.
[0118]
Similarly, f (Ge *′) Is applied with the degeneration, and G shown in FIG.e *'Is reduced to one link as shown in FIG. In this way, since one link has been reduced, f (Ge *’)
