TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a single-fiber separation method for an optical fiber ribbon, which separates a portion to be processed of the optical fiber ribbon for each optical fiber.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Usually, the inside of the optical fiber cable contains a large number of optical fiber ribbons formed by integrating a plurality of optical fiber ribbons into a tape shape by a tape coat layer. In addition, in order to effectively use the optical fiber cable, it is widely practiced to separate a part (processed portion) of the optical fiber ribbon constituting the optical fiber cable into single fibers for each optical fiber. ing. As a technique of the single-fiber separation method of the optical fiber ribbon, for example, there is a technique disclosed in
[0003]
That is, the optical fiber ribbon is set immovably in the setting portion of the slider in the width direction of the optical fiber ribbon. Next, a plurality of first separating blades provided on the slider make a cut at a corresponding core line boundary portion in the front side portion of the tape coat layer, and a plurality of second separating blades provided on the slider. In each case, a cut is made at the corresponding core line boundary portion on the back side of the tape coat layer. Here, the core line boundary portion refers to a position of a boundary portion between the adjacent optical fiber core lines. Then, by moving the slider in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon, and moving a plurality of the first separating blades and a plurality of the second separating blades in the longitudinal direction, the cuts are enlarged and the The tape coat layer in the portion to be processed of the optical fiber ribbon can be broken. Thus, the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon can be separated into single fibers for each optical fiber.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent No. 3309378
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in order to reliably perform single-core separation of the optical fiber ribbon, it is necessary to make the cut of the tape coat layer deep according to the diameter of the optical fiber ribbon. Therefore, when there is a disorder in the arrangement state of the plurality of optical fiber core wires in the processing target portion of the optical fiber tape core wire, the inter-blade pitch of the plurality of first separation blades or the plurality of second separation blades is reduced. In the case where there is a displacement, when the setting state of the optical fiber ribbon with respect to the setting portion in the slider is not appropriate, the optical fiber is removed during the operation of separating the single optical fiber ribbon. You may accidentally disconnect.
[0006]
Therefore, in order to solve the above-described problem, in the present invention, a single-core separation method for an optical fiber ribbon, which enables the tape coat layer to be broken without making a cut in the tape coat layer. The purpose is to provide.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, a portion to be processed of an optical fiber ribbon in which a plurality of optical fibers are integrated into a tape by a tape coat layer is separated into single fibers for each of the optical fibers. In the single fiber separation method of the optical fiber ribbon to be
While pressing the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon with the ironing member, the ironing member is moved relative to the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon, By ironing the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon with an ironing member, the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon is separated into single fibers for each optical fiber. And
[0008]
Here, by squeezing the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon by the ironing member, without cutting the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon. Generating a shear stress on the tape coat layer in the processing target portion of the optical fiber ribbon by a frictional force between the ironing member and the processing target portion of the optical fiber ribbon, thereby forming the optical fiber. Only the tape coat layer of the processed portion of the tape core wire can be broken. Thus, the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon can be separated into single fibers for each optical fiber.
[0009]
In addition, "to move the ironing member relatively to the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon" means that the optical fiber ribbon is fixed under a fixed state. In addition to moving the ironing member in the longitudinal direction, moving the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction while the ironing member is fixed is also included.
[0010]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, a portion to be processed of an optical fiber ribbon in which a plurality of optical fibers are integrated in a tape shape by a tape coat layer is separated into single fibers for each of the optical fibers. In the single fiber separation method of the optical fiber ribbon to be
The first ironing member and the second ironing member are pressed by the first ironing member and the second ironing member so as to sandwich the tape coat layer in the processing target portion of the optical fiber ribbon, and The tape coat layer in the portion to be processed of the optical fiber ribbon is moved by the first ironing member and the second ironing member relative to the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction of the core. The processed part of the optical fiber ribbon is singly separated for each optical fiber by squeezing the front and back surfaces of the optical fiber tape.
[0011]
Here, the first and second ironing members are used to squeeze the front and back surfaces of the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon by the first ironing member and the second ironing member. The frictional force between the first ironing member and the surface of the portion to be processed of the optical fiber tape core wire and the second ironing member and the optical fiber tape core without cutting the tape coat layer in the portion. A shear force is generated in the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon by a frictional force between a wire and a back surface of the processed portion, and the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon is generated. In the above, only the tape coat layer can be broken. Thus, the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon can be separated into single fibers for each optical fiber.
[0012]
In addition, "to move the first ironing member and the second ironing member relative to the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon", the optical fiber ribbon is used. Under the fixed state, in addition to moving the first ironing member and the second ironing member in the longitudinal direction, under the state where the first ironing member and the second ironing member are fixed, This includes moving the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction.
[0013]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, a portion to be processed of an optical fiber ribbon in which a plurality of optical fibers are integrated in a tape shape by a tape coat layer is separated into single fibers for each of the optical fibers. In the single fiber separation method of the optical fiber ribbon to be
The processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon is supported by a single fiber separation table,
While pressing the surface of the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon toward the single core separation table side by the ironing member, the ironing member is moved in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon with respect to the optical fiber tape. By relatively squeezing the surface of the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon by the squeezing member, the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon is removed by the optical fiber. It is characterized in that a single core is separated for each core.
[0014]
Here, by squeezing the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon by the ironing member, without cutting the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon. Generating a shear stress on the front side of the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon by a frictional force between the ironing member and the surface of the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon. Thus, only the front side portion of the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon can be broken. Thereby, the back side of the tape coat layer in the portion to be processed of the optical fiber ribbon is removed by breakage or the like, and the portion to be processed of the optical fiber ribbon is single-core for each of the optical fibers. Can be separated.
[0015]
In addition, by squeezing the surface of the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon by the ironing member, only the front side portion of the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the optical fiber ribbon. Since the back side of the tape coat layer in the portion to be processed of the optical fiber ribbon is not broken even by squeezing by the squeezing member, the optical fiber The plurality of optical fiber ribbons are held by the back side of the tape coat layer in the processed portion of the tape ribbon.
[0016]
In addition, "to move the ironing member relatively to the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon" means that the optical fiber ribbon is fixed under a fixed state. In addition to moving the ironing member in the longitudinal direction, moving the optical fiber ribbon in the longitudinal direction while the ironing member is fixed is also included.
