本発明は、例えばガスメータなどのメータを検査するために使用される検査装置に関する。

近年、消費者による燃料用ガスの消費量を測定するために、各消費者宅ごとにガスメータが設置されている。ガス事業者は、一定期間ごとにガスメータからガスの消費量を検針することにより、その検針値に基づいてガスの使用料金を算定している。

従来のガスメータとしては、例えば、多彩な機能を実行するためのマイクロコンピュータ(以下、単に「マイコン」という。)を備えたマイコンメータが広く普及している。この種のガスメータとしては、例えば、外部と相互に通信可能な通信機能を有するものが知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、各消費者宅に設置されているガスメータを運用するためには、例えば、必要に応じてガスメータを検査する必要がある。具体的には、例えば、ガスメータに実使用上の問題(例えば、遮断弁が駆動したことに伴うガス供給遮断)が生じた場合に、そのガスメータが故障したのか否かを判断した上で、修理や交換を要するものか否かを確認しなければならないケースがある。しかしながら、上記したリモコン装置や設定装置などの従来の外部装置では、ガスメータを操作したり、設定情報を書き換えることはできるが、ガスメータを検査することができないという問題があった。ガスメータに実使用上の問題が生じたために消費者から問い合わせを受けた際に、現場に赴いた作業員が容易、迅速かつ正確にガスメータを検査した上で復旧させる必要があるため、ガスメータの運用上、検査体制の確立は急務である。

本発明はかかる問題点に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的は、メータの検査を容易、迅速かつ正確に行うことが可能な検査装置を提供することにある。

本発明に係る検査装置は、メータを検査するためのものであり、メータと通信するための通信手段と、この通信手段を介してメータを検査する検査手段と、この検査手段による検査結果を含む情報を表示する表示手段とを備えるようにしたものである。

以下、本発明の実施の形態について、図面を参照して詳細に説明する。

まず、図1を参照して、本発明の一実施の形態に係る検査装置の構成について説明する。図1は、検査装置100の外観構成を表している。

検査装置100は、例えば、消費者宅1に設置されているガスメータ2と通信線200を介して随時接続され、そのガスメータ2を検査するために使用されるものである。この検査装置100は、例えばプラスチック製の筐体10の内部に、後述する一連の機器が収納された構成を有している。この筐体10の一面には、例えば、検査作業に関する情報を表示するための表示パネル21と、検査作業を行うために使用される各種操作ボタン(カーソルボタン22,実行ボタン23,検査ボタン24,読出ボタン25,手動ボタン26)と、音声出力用のスピーカ27とが設けられている。また、筐体10の他の一面には、後述するメモリ15を装着するための装着口28が設けられている。表示パネル21は、例えば、液晶パネルにより構成されている。

次に、図1および図2を参照して、検査装置100の詳細な構成について説明する。図2は、検査装置100のブロック構成を表している。

メモリ12は、例えば、RAM(Random Access Memory)などの内蔵型の記憶デバイスにより構成されており、検査日、検査結果および検査履歴などの情報を記憶するようになっている。

なお、消費者宅1に設置されているガスメータ2は、ガスの消費量を測定するものである。このガスメータ2は、所定の設定情報Fを記憶しており、この設定情報Fに基づいて動作設定されている。この「設定情報F」とは、例えば、ガスメータ2の動作機構を設定するための数値パラメータや機能パラメータなどである。この「数値パラメータ」としては、例えば、日付を設定するための日付情報や、時刻を設定するための時刻情報や、流量を測定する際に必要な単位体積当たりの信号パルス数を設定するためのパルス情報や、継続時間オーバー遮断機構に必要な継続時間を設定するための継続時間情報や、流量オーバー遮断機構に必要な上限流量を設定するための上限流量情報や、圧力オーバー遮断機構に必要な上限圧力を設定するための上限圧力情報などが挙げられる。継続時間オーバー遮断機構とは、ガスの消費時間が継続時間に到達したときにガス供給を自動的に遮断する機構であり、流量オーバー遮断機構または圧力オーバー遮断機構とは、ガスの流量や圧力が上限流量や上限圧力に到達したときにガス供給を自動的に遮断する機構である。また、「機能パラメータ」としては、例えば、内管漏洩の発生時に実行する処理内容を設定するための内管漏洩情報や、継続時間オーバー遮断機構の動作テーブルを設定するための継続時間テーブル情報や、感震時の遮断内容を設定するための感震遮断情報や、ガスの圧力低下時の遮断内容を設定するための圧力低下遮断情報などである。

次に、図1〜図13を参照して、検査装置100の動作について説明する。ここで、図3は検査装置100の動作の流れを説明するためのものであり、図4〜図13は検査装置100の検査作業時に表示パネル21に表示される表示画面の一例を表している。以下では、検査装置100の検査時におけるマイコン11の動作に言及するものとする。

この検査装置100では、電源が投入されたのち、作業者により押された操作ボタン(検査ボタン24,読出ボタン25,手動ボタン26)に応じて動作モードが選択される。

第1に、検査ボタン24が押された場合には、「一括検査」を実行する。すなわち、通信I/F13を介してガスメータ2と通信しながら、あらかじめ設定された複数の検査項目に基づく検査を一括して行ったのち(ステップS101)、その検査結果を表示パネル21に表示しながら(ステップS102)、スピーカ27から検査結果に対応した音声ガイドを出力する(ステップS103)。「複数の検査項目」とは、例えば、ガスメータ2に搭載されている流量センサ、圧力センサおよび遮断弁などの機器の作動状態である。一括検査では、一連の機器が順次試験的に作動されることにより、各機器の作動状態が検査される。この際、検査結果の中に異常を示す検査結果が含まれていない場合には、例えば、図4に示したように、検査結果の一覧を表示しながら、例えば「検査結果は全て正常です」などと音声ガイドを出力する。一方、検査結果の中に異常を示す検査結果が含まれている場合には、例えば、図5に示したように、検査結果の一覧と共に、異常の状態およびその異常の推定要因も併せて表示しながら、例えば「遮断弁に異常が発見されました」などと音声ガイドを出力する。図5に示した例では、例えば、遮断弁に関して異常が発見され、「異常の状態」として遮断弁が作動せず、「異常の推定要因」として遮断弁の作動機構が故障しているか、あるいは作動機構に異物が噛んでいることが確認される。なお、「異常の推定要因」は、機器の作動状態に関する異常の発生要因として過去に確認された情報に基づいて、推定されたものである。

第2に、読出ボタン25が押された場合には、「設定情報の読み出し」を実行する。すなわち、ガスメータ2に記憶されている設定情報Fを読み出したのち(ステップS104)、その設定情報Fを表示パネル21に表示しながら(ステップS105)、音声ガイドを出力する(ステップS106)。この際、数値パラメータに関して、設定情報Fの中に初期設定から変更された設定情報が含まれていない場合には、例えば、図6に示したように、設定情報Fの一覧を表示しながら、例えば「初期設定から変更された設定情報はありません」などと音声ガイドを出力する。一方、設定情報Fの中に初期設定から変更された設定情報が含まれている場合には、例えば、図7に示したように、初期設定から変更された設定情報のみを選択的に表示しながら、例えば「初期設定から変更された設定情報があります」などと音声ガイドを出力する。また、機能パラメータに関しても同様に、設定情報Fの中に初期設定から変更された設定情報が含まれていない場合には、例えば、図8に示したように、設定情報Fの一覧を表示しながら音声ガイドを出力し、一方、設定情報Fの中に初期設定から変更された設定情報が含まれている場合には、例えば、図9に示したように、初期設定から変更された設定情報のみを選択的に表示しながら音声ガイドを出力する。

第3に、手動ボタン26が押された場合には、「手動検査」を実行する。すなわち、音声ガイドを出力しながら(ステップS107)、作業者が指定した検査項目のみを選択的に検査する。具体的には、まず、例えば、図10に示したように、複数の検査項目を含む検査項目メニューを表示しながら(ステップS108)、例えば「検査項目を選択してください」などと音声ガイドを出力する。こののち、例えば、遮断弁の作動状態を選択的に検査するために、作業者がカーソルボタン22を操作して画面中のカーソルCを「3.遮断弁」に移動させたのちに実行ボタン23を押すと、例えば、図11に示したように、指定された検査項目を表示しながら(ステップS109)、例えば「遮断弁を作動させますか?」などと音声ガイドを出力する。こののち、遮断弁の作動状態の検査を実行するために、作業者がカーソルCを「はい」に移動させたのちに実行ボタン23を押すと、指定された遮断弁の作動状態を選択的に検査したのち(ステップS110)、検査結果を表示パネル21に表示する(ステップS111)。この際、検査結果に異常がない場合には、例えば、図12に示したように、遮断弁の作動状態が正常である旨を表示しながら、例えば「遮断弁は正常です」などと音声ガイドを出力する。この場合には、例えば、図12に示したように、引き続き他の搭載機器(例えば圧力センサ)の作動状態の検査を促す旨も表示する。一方、検査結果に異常がある場合には、例えば、図13に示したように、遮断弁に異常がある旨と共に、図5に示した場合と同様に異常の状態およびその異常の推定要因も併せて表示しながら、例えば「遮断弁に異常が発見されました」などと音声ガイドを出力する。

以上説明したように、本実施の形態に係る検査装置100では、通信を利用してガスメータ2を自動的に検査し、その検査結果を表示パネル21に表示するようにしたので、この表示パネル21に表示された検査結果を視認することにより、検査作業に従事する作業者がガスメータ2の稼働状況を把握した上で、ガスメータ2に適当な対処を施すことが可能になる。具体的には、ガスメータ2の遮断弁が作動してガス供給が断されたために消費者から問い合わせを受けた際に、検査装置100を使用してガスメータ2を検査した結果、例えば、図5に示したように、遮断弁の異常が発見された場合には、異常の推定要因を考慮してさらに詳細に検査した上で最終的に遮断弁が故障しているものと判断されれば、遮断弁の修理作業や交換作業を行えばよい。また、例えば、図4に示したように、遮断弁に異常が発見されず、図7に示したように、設定情報Fのうちの継続時間情報が何らかの理由で初期設定(例えば2時間)から短め(例えば30分)に変更されていることを発見した場合には、遮断弁が故障していないものと判断した上で、継続時間を初期設定に戻すために設定情報Fの変更作業を行えばよい。もちろん、表示パネル21に表示された検査結果を消費者に見せれば、その検査結果の内容を消費者に視覚的に伝えることも可能である。したがって、この検査装置100を使用することにより、ガスメータ2の検査を容易、迅速かつ正確に行うことができる。

特に、本実施の形態では、検査ボタン24の操作に応じて一括検査処理を実行するようにしたので、複数の検査項目に基づく検査が一括して自動的に行われる。したがって、複数の検査項目に基づく検査を個別に行う場合と比較して、ガスメータ2の検査をより容易かつ迅速に行うことができる。この場合には、特に、検査作業を熟知していない作業者でも、ガスメータ2の検査を容易に行うことができる。
