Abstract
Description
【0001】
本発明は、例えばDVD(Digital Versatile Disk)プレーヤのような映像再生装置に関するものである。
【0002】

Play and display the screen.
[0007]
By doing so, the screen can be quickly moved back and forth without going through the procedure of moving the cursor with the cursor button and then pressing the enter button, and the operability is greatly improved, It is very easy to use.
[0008]
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first button of the operation unit is a feed button (for example, a skip button for feed) on the remote control, and the second button is a return button (for example, for example) on the remote control. , Return skip button). In this way, the forward and backward buttons used during playback are used as buttons for moving the menu screen forward and backward, so that a similar function is provided when operating the menu screen. The operation can be performed by using the button, and the operation is further facilitated.
[0009]
Further, in the present invention, when there are a plurality of buttons assigned as advance buttons, the destination menu information corresponding to each button is read ahead and the number of buttons to which a title or chapter playback command is assigned in the menu is read. Calculates the number of setting commands for setting the language and the like as compared to the number of assigned buttons, and assigns the button having the largest value in the calculation result to the advance button. As a result, the button that shifts to a screen with many buttons to which a playback command is assigned is preferentially assigned to the advance button, and screen switching can be performed efficiently. In this case, when there are a plurality of the same values in the calculation result, a button linking the current screen to the closest screen may be assigned to the advance button.
