Abstract
Description
【0001】
【0006】
GV=AV+DV−SV+SV100 …(1)

SV=log2 (ISO感度*0.32) …(3)
AV=log2 (Fno2 ) …(4)
TV=log2 (1/SS) …(5)
DV=log2 (L2 ) …(6)
GV=log2 (Gno2 ) …(7)
EV=AV+TV=BV+SV …(8)
【0145】

In step S48, the driving control of the focusing lens is executed according to the driving amount of the focusing lens calculated in step S43, and the focusing state is set. In a succeeding step S49, an exposure operation is performed according to the shutter control time and the flash light emission amount calculated in the step S44.
[0090]
In step S50, since the exposure operation has been completed in step S46, lens position reset control for returning the focusing lens to the initial position is performed. Further, in step S51, "1" is set to a flag F_WNDREQ indicating that winding control is necessary in order to wind up the exposed frame. After that, the release process ends, and the process exits this routine.
[0091]
Here, the detailed operation of the exposure amount calculation processing in step S44 in the above-described flowchart of FIG. 3 will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG.
[0092]
It should be noted that the values relating to APEX described hereinafter are defined as follows.
SV = log 2 (ISO sensitivity * 0.32) ... (3)
AV = log 2 (Fno 2 …… (4)
TV = log 2 (1 / SS)… (5)
DV = log 2 (L2) ... (6)
GV = log 2 (Gno 2 …… (7)
EV = AV + TV = BV + SV (8)
Where SS: shutter speed, L: subject distance
When the routine for the exposure amount calculation processing is entered, first, in step S61, the SV value of the film is calculated from the DX code provided in the
[0093]
In step S63, respective BV values are calculated from the subject luminance and the peripheral luminance, which are the photometric results in step S42 in the above-described flowchart of FIG. Then, in step S64, an AV value when the shutter is opened is obtained from the current zoom position. Further, in step S65, an EV value is obtained from the above-described BV value and SV value.
[0094]
Next, in step S66, the presence or absence of flash emission is determined according to the EV value, or the mode such as the beautiful skin mode or the forced emission mode. In step S67, a TV value is calculated from the EV value and the AV value.
[0095]
Then, in step S68, an appropriate GV value at which the flash emission amount of the flash device becomes appropriate is obtained from the following equation.
Proper GV value = AV value at light emission + DV value + IS0100 SV value−SV value
Further, in step S69, the light emission amount is corrected. In the case of the beautiful skin mode, the GV value obtained in step S68 is corrected, and the details will be described later.
[0096]
In step S70, the shutter control time is calculated from the TV value obtained in step S67. Then, in step S71, the emission time is calculated from the GV value obtained in step S68. After that, the processing of the exposure amount calculation ends, and the process exits this routine.
[0097]
FIG. 5 is a flowchart illustrating the detailed operation of correcting the light emission amount in step S69 in the flowchart of FIG. 4 described above to correct the GV value in the beautiful skin mode.
[0098]
Here, the beautiful skin mode will be described.
[0099]
The flash light amount (Gno) is obtained from the following equation (9) based on the aperture value (Fno) of the lens, the subject distance L, and the film sensitivity.
(Equation 2)
[0100]
Normally, if the flash is emitted with the flash emission amount of the flash device calculated by the above equation (9), a photograph with an appropriate exposure can be taken. If the flash is fired with a light emission amount larger than that of the appropriate flash device, the exposure of the subject will be over, and in the worst case, it will not be possible to even identify the subject (referred to as overexposure photograph).
[0101]
However, when the exposure of the subject is moderately overexposed, there is an effect that the stains and wrinkles of the face of the person become invisible and the skin color looks white. In general, Japanese women prefer to control the amount of light emitted by the flash device so that it is moderately overexposed, so that facial stains and wrinkles are not visible and the skin is whiter. Has been found by investigation.
[0102]
Here, it has been found by study that the flash emission amount cannot be appropriately increased by merely increasing the emission amount by a certain amount. The reason is that the amount of correction (white balance in the case of a digital camera) of the lab machine differs depending on the size and brightness of the subject in the shooting screen. However, in other scenes, the subject may be overexposed, and it may not even be possible to determine what is being captured.
[0103]
The beautiful skin mode is a method described below, and is a mode in which the light emission amount of the flash device is controlled so that any scene is appropriately overshot. In this embodiment, the beautiful skin mode is selected by the user turning on the
[0104]
When the light emission amount correction control of the flash device is started and the light emission amount correction routine is started, first, in step S81, it is determined whether or not the mode is the beautiful skin mode. Here, in the case of the beautiful skin mode, the process proceeds to step S82, and otherwise, the process exits this routine.
[0105]
In step S82, the photographing magnification is calculated by the following equation using the subject distance L calculated by the
Shooting magnification = focal length / subject distance
Next, in step S83, the GV correction amount is selected from the table shown in FIG. 6 based on the photographing magnification obtained in step S82. Thereby, the correction amount based on the photographing magnification is obtained. Various studies have shown that it is better to increase the correction amount as the imaging magnification increases.
[0106]
Here, the reason why the correction amount is calculated by using a reference method from a table as shown in FIG. 6 is that the relationship between the imaging magnification and the correction amount does not become a straight line. When performing linear approximation, it is necessary to perform correction using a plurality of straight lines.
[0107]
In step S84, a correction amount based on the luminance is calculated by the following equation based on the peripheral luminance of the subject. FIG. 7 is a graph showing the luminance dependence when the horizontal axis represents the peripheral luminance [BV value] and the vertical axis represents the GV correction amount, and has a linear function relationship as shown in the following equation. The slope and intercept are set by study.
Correction amount due to luminance = 0.1503 * Peripheral luminance-1.4196
In step S85, the GV correction amount based on the photographing magnification obtained in step S83 and the GV correction amount based on the peripheral luminance obtained in step S84 are added to obtain the entire correction amount. Here, if the result of the sum of the correction amounts is a negative number, it is set to “0”.
[0108]
FIG. 8 is a table showing the overall correction amounts actually obtained.
[0109]
Referring to the table of FIG. 8, the vertical (row) direction indicates the peripheral brightness [BV value], the horizontal (column) direction indicates the shooting magnification, and the numerical values shown in the table indicate the GV correction amount.
[0110]
Then, in step S86, the GV value is corrected by the entire correction amount obtained in step S85. After that, the process of correcting the light emission amount ends, and the process exits the routine.
[0111]
As described above in the first embodiment, by correcting the GV value according to the following equation based on the shooting magnification and the peripheral luminance, the flash device can be appropriately overshot in any shooting scene. Can control the amount of flash light.
Emission GV value = appropriate GV value + GV correction amount
The appropriate GV value is a value obtained by converting Gno calculated by the above equation (9) from the camera Fno, subject distance L and film sensitivity into a GV value by the above equation (7). The value is a GV value that actually emits light.
[0112]
(Second embodiment)
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0113]
In the above-described first embodiment, an example has been described in which the light emission amount of the flash device is corrected according to the shooting magnification and the peripheral luminance. However, in the case of a camera having a single focus photographing lens without a zoom mechanism, the same effect as in the above-described first embodiment can be obtained even if the light emission amount of the flash device is corrected based on the subject distance and the peripheral luminance. . In the second embodiment, an example of a camera having such a single focus photographing lens will be described.
[0114]
In the second embodiment, the electrical configuration of the camera is such that the zooming
[0115]
The operation of the second embodiment is different from that of the first embodiment only in the flowchart for explaining the operation of correcting the light emission amount in FIG. Hereinafter, the operation of correcting the light emission amount in the second embodiment will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG.
[0116]
When the light emission amount correction in step S69 in the flowchart of FIG. 4 is executed, the light emission amount correction routine of FIG. 9 is started, and the light emission amount correction control of the flash device is started. Then, first, in step S91, it is determined whether or not the mode is the beautiful skin mode. If the mode is the beautiful skin mode, the process proceeds to step S92; otherwise, the process exits this routine.
[0117]
In step S92, the GV correction amount is selected from the shooting magnification dependency table shown in FIG. 10 based on the subject distance L obtained by the
[0118]
Next, in step S93, a correction amount based on the luminance is calculated based on the peripheral luminance of the shooting scene. Further, in step S94, the GV correction amount based on the subject distance L obtained in step S92 and the GV correction amount based on the peripheral luminance obtained in step S93 are added to obtain the entire correction amount. Here, if the result of the addition is a negative number, it is set to “0”.
[0119]
Then, in step S95, the GV value is corrected by the entire correction amount obtained in step S94. After that, the process of correcting the light emission amount ends, and the process exits the routine.
[0120]
As described above, according to the second embodiment, the flash emission amount of the flash device can be controlled by the subject distance and the peripheral luminance even in a camera having no zoom function.
[0121]
(Third embodiment)
Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0122]
In the first and second embodiments described above, a camera having a distance measuring unit capable of AF (autofocus) has been described. However, in the case of a camera that does not have an autofocus function, if the light emission amount of the flash device is corrected using the fixed focal length counted by the zooming drive
[0123]
The third embodiment exemplifies a camera having no such autofocus function.
[0124]
In the third embodiment, the electrical configuration of the camera is such that the
[0125]
The main routine is the same as that of the flowchart of FIG. 2. The main routine is the same as that of the distance measurement in step S41 in the flowchart of the release process in FIG. The operation is the same except for the processing operation.
[0126]
Regarding the correction operation of the light emission amount, the operation of selecting the GV correction amount from the table of FIG. 10 based on the subject distance L in step S92 in the flowchart of FIG. The operation may be changed from the focal length to an operation in which the GV correction amount is selected from the table shown in FIG. In this case, for example, the respective correction amounts are set according to the cases where the focal length of the photographing lens is wide-angle (WIDE), standard (STANDARD), and telephoto (TELE).
[0127]
Other configurations and operations are the same as those of the above-described first and second embodiments. Therefore, the same portions are denoted by the same reference numerals, and illustration and description thereof will be omitted.
[0128]
As described above, in the third embodiment, even if the camera does not have the autofocus function, the light emission amount of the flash device can be controlled using the focal length of the photographing lens.
[0129]
(Fourth embodiment)
Next, a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0130]
In the above-described first embodiment, an example has been described in which the light emission amount of the flash device is corrected in accordance with the shooting magnification and the peripheral luminance. However, the difference between the photographing magnification and the luminance of the central portion of the photographed scene and the peripheral luminance is described. The same effect as in the first embodiment can be obtained even if the light emission amount of the flash device is corrected by using.
[0131]
In the fourth embodiment, a description will be given of a camera that corrects the light emission amount of a flash device using such a photographing magnification and a luminance difference between a central portion and a peripheral luminance of a photographed scene.
[0132]
The operation of the fourth embodiment is different from that of the first embodiment only in that the flowchart for explaining the operation of correcting the light emission amount is replaced by FIGS. 5 to 12. Therefore, for the configuration and operation of the camera according to the fourth embodiment, the same reference numerals are given to the same portions as those in the above-described embodiment, and illustration and description thereof are omitted.
[0133]
Hereinafter, the operation of correcting the light emission amount in the fourth embodiment will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG.
[0134]
When the correction of the light emission amount in step S69 in the flowchart of FIG. 4 is executed, the routine for correcting the light emission amount of FIG. 12 is started, and the correction control of the light emission amount of the flash device is started. Then, first, in step S101, it is determined whether the mode is the beautiful skin mode. Here, in the case of the beautiful skin mode, the process proceeds to step S102, and otherwise, the process exits this routine.
[0135]
Next, in step S102, the GV correction amount is selected from a table equivalent to the table shown in FIG. 6 based on the photographing magnification obtained by the
[0136]
In step S104, the GV correction amount based on the photographing magnification obtained in step S102 and the GV correction amount obtained in step S13 are added to obtain the entire correction amount. Here, if the result of the addition is a negative number, it is set to “0”.
[0137]
Then, in step S105, the GV value is corrected by the entire correction amount obtained in step S104. After that, the process of correcting the light emission amount ends, and the process exits the routine.
[0138]
As described above, according to the fourth embodiment, the light emission amount of the flash device can be controlled by the photographing magnification and the luminance difference between the luminance at the center of the photographed scene and the peripheral luminance.
[0139]
In addition to the above-described first to fourth embodiments, even if the flash emission amount of the flash device is corrected only by the photographing magnification or only by the peripheral luminance, the above-described first to fourth embodiments will be described. Although the effect is lower than that of the fourth embodiment, the same effect can be obtained.
[0140]
Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, the selection of the beautiful skin mode is performed by the user switching the
[0141]
Further, the present invention can be implemented in various modifications other than the above-described first to fourth embodiments without departing from the gist of the present invention.
[0142]
For example, in the above-described embodiment, a camera with a built-in flash device has been described as an example. However, a camera with a built-in flash device is not limited to a camera using a silver halide film, and can capture a captured image in electronic data. It is needless to say that the present invention can be applied to a digital camera that can convert and record the data.
[0143]
Further, in the above-described embodiment, a camera having a built-in flash device has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this. It is also applicable to flash devices.

The present invention is also applicable to a video camera that records moving images.
