このようなインターネット通信ができるようにセットアップされたパーソナルコンピュータ（以下、ＰＣと略称す）にあっては、インターネットプロトコル（ＩＰ）アドレスが認識されることで、ウエブ（Ｗｅｂ）ブラウザ上でホームページを見たり、またメールを送受信できるようになっており、例えばホームページ上に表示されているウエブアドレスをクリックすると、そのアドレスのホームページ上に移行することができ、更にはウエブメールにより、ホームページ上のメールアドレスやメール上に表示されているメールアドレスをクリックすると、メールの読み書きが可能となっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述したように、従来のインターネット通信システムにあっては、ウエブブラウザ上に表示されているウエブアドレスをクリックすると、そのそのアドレスのホームページに移行してこれを開く（見る）ことができるものの、電話に関しては配慮されていなかった。つまり、ホームページやメール上に表示されている電話番号をクリックしても、その電話番号の相手先へ電話することができず、そのため、その相手先に電話するには、電話をいちいち操作して入力することで、相手先と通信を行うようになっており、表示されている電話番号を覚えなくてはならなかったり、メモしてその電話番号に基づいて電話をかけているのが現状である。

一方、近年では、パーソナルコンピュータにＩＰ電話と呼ばれるインターネット電話が設けられ、コンピュータネットワーク網を利用することで電話通信を行えるものが開発されている。このようなインターネット電話は、ＩＳＰとの契約により生じる料金と、ＩＳＰまでの電話料金だけで通話を行うことができ、長距離電話代や国際電話代が安価となる等の利点がある。
しかしながら、インターネット電話のユーザーは、相手先のＩＰアドレスやホストシステム名等の詳細なデータを予め入力しなければ使用することができず、コンピュータに詳しい熟練者しか利用できなかった。

更に、一部のプロバイダーがインターネット通信システムを利用して電話をも行えるようにしたものが出現しているものの、この種のインターネット用接続器にはＰＣを接続する他、特殊なスプリッタを介して電話機を接続しているだけであって電話機とＰＣとが分離されているので、ウエブブラウザ上から電話通信を行うことができず、インターネット通信と電話通信とがそれぞれ独立したものとなっていることから、表示されている電話番号の相手先と電話通信する場合には、通常の電話をかける場合と同様に操作しなければならなかった。

即ち、請求項１に係る発明は、コンピュータネットワーク網に接続されたコンピュータと、該コンピュータに接続された電話機とを備え、互いにコンピュータ間でインターネットを行うインターネット通信システムであって、
ウエブアドレス及びメールアドレス上に表示されている電話番号の箇所をクリックした時点で、前記表示されている電話番号の相手先へ前記電話機で発呼するＩＰ電話手段を備えることを特徴とする。
