【0004】

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 is a partial cross-sectional plan view showing one embodiment of the metal / fiber composite rope of the present invention. The metal / fiber composite rope is inserted through a plurality of metal short shafts 1 (pieces) having through holes 100 in the axial direction and through holes 100 of the plurality of short shafts 1 arranged in series. Thus, the rope-shaped body 2 holding the short-axis body group and the high-strength fiber 3 (fiber woven fabric) covering the short-axis body group are formed.
The short-axis body group in which the plurality of short-axis bodies 1 are arranged in series is configured such that the ends of the adjacent short-axis bodies 1 abut against each other, and the abutting portion constitutes a joint mechanism j. Flexibility is given.
[0010]
The short-axis body 1 of the present embodiment has one end formed on a convex curved (convex spherical) end 101 and the other end formed on a concave curved (concave spherical) end 102. The joint mechanism j is configured by fitting the convex-curved end 101 of one short-axis body 1 to the concave-curved end 102 of the other short-axis body 1 between the short-axis bodies to be connected. Has become.
Both ends of the through-hole 100 of the short shaft body 1 have a funnel-like enlarged diameter 104 toward the outside, and the rope-shaped body 2 inserted into the through-hole 100 by the enlarged-diameter portion 104 moves the joint mechanism j. So as not to interfere.
The material of the short-axis body 1 is not particularly limited as long as it is a metal. It is preferred to be composed of more than one species.
Although the length of the short axis body 1 is arbitrary, the shorter the shorter, the smaller the curvature of the rope can be, so that the function as the rope can be enhanced.
[0011]
The material of the rope 2 is not particularly limited, either, but in terms of tensile strength and the like, it is preferable to use at least one selected from a wire rope, a high-strength fiber rope, and a wire-high-strength fiber composite rope. In addition, as the high-strength fiber, it is preferable to use one or more types of fibers used for the high-strength fiber 3 described later.
The rope 2 is inserted into the through holes 100 of the plurality of short shafts 1 arranged in series as described above, and holds the plurality of short shafts 1, that is, a group of short shafts.
[0012]
The high-strength fibers 3 cover the outside of the short-axis body group held by the rope-like body 2. For example, even if a high-strength fiber woven fabric is wrapped around the short-axis body group and its end is fixed. Alternatively, the high-strength fiber woven fabric may be formed into a tubular shape in advance, and the short shaft body group may be inserted therein.
Examples of the fiber used for the high-strength fiber 3 include a rigid polymer resin fiber, a flexible polymer resin fiber, a carbon fiber, a metal fiber, and the like. it can.
[0013]
Examples of the rigid polymer resin fibers include wholly aromatic polyamide fibers (aramid fibers), wholly aromatic polyester fibers, and heterocyclic high-performance fibers.
The wholly aromatic polyamide fibers (aramid fibers) include para-aramid fibers and meta-aramid fibers.
