Description

【0001】

【0018】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a sheet having a coating film (coating layer) having excellent oil resistance, water resistance and heat resistance, and a method for producing the same. In particular, the sheet having this coating film is suitable for wrapping paper for food heating. .
[0002]
[Prior art]
Paper used for food packaging and the like is required to have oil resistance and water resistance that repel oil and water in food and prevent oil and water from oozing on a surface that is not in contact with food. In addition, the food wrapping paper is heated in a microwave oven or an oven while the food is wrapped, and thus also needs to have heat resistance.
As a method for solving these problems, an oil-resistant paper in which a coating layer of a nonionic or cationic polyvinyl alcohol and a coating layer of a fluorine-based oil-resisting agent are sequentially provided on at least one surface of an internally sized paper of a single-layer paper type is provided. The use of paper has been proposed (see Patent Document 1).
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-7-12849
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, fluorine-based oil-proofing agents are said to generate toxic fluorine compounds such as hydrogen fluoride, carbonyl fluoride, and hydrofluoric acid at high temperatures, and oil-resistant paper for food packaging containing such oil-proofing agents is used during cooking or These toxic fluorine compounds may be generated during incineration after disposal after use, and there is a problem in terms of safety.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a sheet that can be used as a wrapping paper for food heating, which is safe and environmentally friendly, has oil resistance, water resistance, and heat resistance.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present inventors have conducted intensive studies to develop a safe, environmentally friendly sheet having oil resistance, water resistance, and heat resistance that does not have the above-described problems. As a result, polyvinyl alcohol and natural products are used for food applications. By using shellac (shellac), which is used and forms a strong water-resistant coating film, as a coating film-forming component, it has excellent oil resistance, water resistance, and heat resistance, and is safe for food use. It has been found that a sheet suitable for the present invention can be obtained, and the present invention has been completed.
[0006]
According to the present invention, at least one of an oil-resistant / water-resistant sheet and a base sheet, wherein at least one surface of the base sheet has a coating layer containing at least polyvinyl alcohol and shellac (shellac). An oil- and water-resistant sheet and a method for producing these sheets, characterized in that the surface has a coating layer in which a coating film containing at least polyvinyl alcohol and a coating film containing at least shellac (shellac) are sequentially formed. Provided.
[0007]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Next, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to preferred embodiments.
The oil-resistant and water-resistant sheet of the present invention includes a coating layer containing at least polyvinyl alcohol and shellac (shellac) or a coating layer containing at least polyvinyl alcohol and at least shellac (shellac) on one or both surfaces of a base sheet. It is characterized by having a coating layer in which a coating film is formed in order.
[0008]
Examples of the polyvinyl alcohol used in the present invention include a partially saponified type, a completely saponified type (95 mol% or more saponification degree), or those modified with a carboxyl group, a sulfone group, an acetoacetyl group, a silanol group, or the like. Can be These can be used alone or in combination of two or more. The degree of polymerization is not particularly limited, but is usually in the range of 500 to 3000, preferably in the range of 1000 to 2500. If the degree of polymerization is less than 500, film formation is difficult, and sufficient oil resistance cannot be obtained. On the other hand, when the degree of polymerization exceeds 3000, the viscosity of the solution becomes considerably high, and the coating operation becomes difficult.
[0009]
In the present invention, polyvinyl alcohol is used as a solution (coating solution) dissolved in a solvent, but the solvent is not particularly limited as long as the solvent dissolves polyvinyl alcohol. Examples include water, alcohols (eg, methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, n-propyl alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol), aqueous alcohol solutions, and the like, with water being preferred.
[0010]
Shellac (shellac) used in the present invention is a natural resin of an animal product, and a product suitable for the use is commercially available and can be obtained and used. When the sheet of the present invention is used as wrapping paper for food heating, it is preferable to use shellac (shellac) for food because the sheet directly contacts food.
[0011]
In the present invention, shellac (shellac) is also used as a solution (coating solution) dissolved in a solvent. The solvent is not particularly limited as long as it is a solvent that dissolves shellac, and examples thereof include alcohols such as methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, n-propyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, and propylene glycol ether, and water. The carboxyl group contained in the shellac is neutralized to make the shellac water-soluble. Examples of the neutralizing agent include inorganic bases such as sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate; ammonia, monoethanolamine, triethanolamine, and morpholine. Organic bases. As the base for neutralizing shellac, ammonia having a high volatility is preferable.
[0012]
In order to produce the oil- and water-resistant sheet of the present invention, (1) a coating liquid containing at least polyvinyl alcohol and shellac is applied to at least one surface of the base sheet to form a coating layer. Alternatively, (2) a coating liquid containing at least polyvinyl alcohol is first applied to a substrate to form a coating film containing polyvinyl alcohol, and then a coating liquid containing at least shellac is applied thereon to contain shellac. Two methods are used for forming a coating film to form a coating layer.
[0013]
To carry out the method (1), first, a coating liquid containing polyvinyl alcohol and shellac as coating layer forming components is prepared. When a common solvent is used, polyvinyl alcohol and shellac are dissolved in the solvent to prepare a coating solution. When each coating layer forming component is dissolved in a separate solvent, the obtained solutions are mixed to prepare a coating solution. In this case, the solvents need to have miscibility (compatibility). For example, when polyvinyl alcohol is an aqueous solution and shellac is used as an alcohol solution, use alcohol that is miscible (compatible) with water, and add a base to the alcohol solution to neutralize the shellac and dissolve it in water. It is necessary to keep it.
[0014]
The usage ratio of the polyvinyl alcohol (A) and the shellac (B) in the coating liquid can be appropriately determined according to the oil resistance required for the sheet of the present invention. It is 10-90: 90-10, preferably 20-80: 80-20. When the amount of shellac is too small, water resistance is insufficient, and when the amount of shellac is too large, oil resistance is insufficient.
[0015]
Additives such as an antifoaming agent, a preservative, and a coloring agent can be appropriately added to the coating liquid as needed.
If necessary, a resin compatible with polyvinyl alcohol can be used in combination as long as the effects of the present invention are not impaired. Examples of such a resin include water-soluble resins such as a copolymer of vinyl alcohol and styrene or acrylate, water-soluble cellulose, polyethylene oxide, and sodium polyacrylate.
[0016]
When carrying out the method (2), a coating liquid containing at least polyvinyl alcohol and a coating liquid containing at least shellac are prepared. In this case, the solvent of the coating liquid is not limited as in the case of (1), and a solvent suitable for each coating layer forming component may be used. Further, as in the case of (1), a resin compatible with polyvinyl alcohol can be used in combination for the coating liquid containing at least polyvinyl alcohol. An additive can be appropriately added to each coating liquid as in the case of (1).
[0017]
In both cases (1) and (2), the coating liquid is applied to the base sheet to form a coating layer.
Examples of the base sheet used in the present invention include paper and nonwoven fabric (rayon, polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.), but paper is preferred.
The coating liquid is usually adjusted to have a solid content of about 2 to 40% by weight, and for example, at least one surface of the base sheet is coated by a known coating method such as a bar coater, a roll coater, an air knife coater, or gravure printing. Coated and dried. In the case of (2), first, a coating solution containing at least polyvinyl alcohol is applied and dried, and then a coating solution containing at least shellac is applied and dried thereon to form a coating layer. . The dry weight of the coating layer is not particularly limited. In the case of (1), the dry weight of each layer is about 0.1 to 10 g / m 2 , and in the case of (2), the dry weight of each layer is about 0.1 to 6 g / m 2. The total (coating layer) of both layers is the same as above.
[0018]
