TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for selectively producing an aliphatic aldehyde from an alkyl epoxide or the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Linear saturated aldehydes (C 8 ~C 12) are highly useful for use as such ingredient perfume compounds. Lauryl aldehyde among linear saturated aldehydes is reduced to lauryl alcohol, and this lauryl alcohol is important as a raw material for a surfactant. As described above, the linear saturated aldehyde is a compound useful as a raw material for various products, and thus an inexpensive production method has been required.
[0003]
The isomerization reaction of epoxides to carbonyl compounds is one of important reactions, and there have been many reports on the reaction. However, these reports mostly use epoxides having relatively high reactivity such as phenyl epoxide derivatives as substrates, and the isomerization of epoxides having low activity such as 1,2-epoxyalkane. There are few reports on reactions.
[0004]
In addition, an isomerization reaction of 1,2-epoxyalkane using a zeolite has been reported by Brunel et al. (Non-Patent Document 1). They are trying to synthesize 1,2-epoxyoctane by isomerization of 1,2-epoxyoctane in an autoclave in the presence of H-Offletite modified with an organosilicon compound and toluene in an autoclave at 160 ° C., but the reaction conditions are very severe and the selectivity is high. Is 57%, which is not satisfactory.
