上記偽造品製造技術向上に対する海外高級雑貨、宝飾品メーカーの対応策として、製品本体に付いているポケットの裏側や、ファスナーの留め金など特定箇所へ製造番号を刻印又は印刷し、偽造品との判別方法としているメーカーがあるが、それらの対策も簡単に模倣できる技術であり、また上記海外高級雑貨、宝飾品メーカーは、偽造品製造業者の模倣を防止するため、特定箇所へ製造番号が刻印されている事実を一般消費者に公表出来ず、上記判別方法の知識、技術を持つ一部の専門家しか機能しない判別方法となっている。

現状、製品に保証書を添付している海外高級雑貨、宝飾品メーカーは極少数であり、また一部の高額商品にしか保証書を付与しないメーカーや、販売する地域、形態により保証書添付の有無が異なるメーカーも有り、一般消費者の判別を混乱させる原因となっている。

保証書を製品に付与していない海外高級雑貨、宝飾品メーカーの商品は、具体的判断、判別方法が提示されていない事から、商品に取り付けられた留め金の刻印や縫製の精度、ファスナーの形状や生地の質感等で判別する方法が行われている。しかしながら、この判別方法も一部の模倣品に対してしか適用できず、又識別には豊富な商品知識を有する技能者しか対応できない。

近年上記海外高級雑貨、宝飾品メーカーの製品本体及び保証書等の模倣技術が高度化、組織化している事から、日本流通自主管理協会でブランド品を独自に見分ける協会基準判定士の育成対策を行っているが、市場に流通している製品量に対する判定士の数は圧倒的に不足しており、また製品のモデルチェンジ、新製品の出荷サイクルが非常に早いことから、数多く存在するメーカーの製品に判定士が対応する事は事実上不可能である。

【課題を解決するための手段】
特別な鑑定技術を持たない一般消費者自身が、購入した製品の品質を簡便に確認する手段、方法を提供するため、予め製品の製造番号に符合した製品詳細情報（製品本体の色、形、生産地、製造年月日等）をデータベースに登録しておき、インターネットを通じ製品本体に刻印又は印刷した製造番号と、データベースに登録された製造番号に符合する製品情報詳細を端末画面で照合し、商品の品質を確認する製品情報確認システム。
