金属疲労を軽減するためには、背金バネ部を厚くし、繰り返し荷重されることによる金属疲労が起こりにくくすることが要求される。このために、本発明においては、支持点を従来の位置より後方に移動することにより、背金バネ部の長さを長くし、厚さを従来の厚さより厚くすることができるようになり、ナイフを開けるときの力がある程度以上になると逃げるような仕組みになっている。その結果ナイフを開ける時の力は少なくてすみ、背金バネの耐久性は従来に比べ格段に向上する。
