【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、交換ユニット或いは扉一体型交換ユニットの交換作業が容易な遊技機に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、パチンコ機や、スロットマシン等の遊技機を設置している遊技ホールでは、顧客のニーズや他店との競合で優位に立つために、遊技機の製造開発メーカーが開発した斬新なゲーム性をもつ、パチンコ機や、スロットマシンに新台入れ替えと称して、数か月に一度、あるいは、それよりも短いサイクルで交換するのが通例となっており、最近では、このサイクルが更に短くなる傾向にある。

そして、従来の遊技機においては、かかる新台入れ替えで遊技内容を変更する際には、遊技機全体を略まるごと交換しなければならなかった。しかし、遊技ホールにおいて、遊技内容を変更するための新台入れ替えの台交換の際、遊技内容の変更に無関係な部品も多数、同時に交換されることとなり、交換に要する費用がかかるだけでなく、資源の無駄になっていた。

そこで、近年、遊技内容に直接、影響するリールユニット及びこのリールユニットの回転リールの回転駆動等を制御する主基板（主制御装置）を、前扉に固定して、前扉ごと一体に本体キャビネットから着脱自在に形成して、交換可能とする発明がなされている（例えば、特許文献１、図１及び図３参照。）。
さらに、リールユニット及び主基板（主制御装置）を固定した前扉に、ホッパー装置（メダル払出装置）や電源装置を固定して、前扉ごと一体に本体キャビネットから着脱自在に形成して交換可能にする発明がなされている（例えば、特許文献１、図４参照。）。

さらに、近年では、遊技機を、遊技性に関わる部分と、遊技性に直接関わらない部分とに分け、このうち遊技性に関わる部分を交換することにより、全体を略まるごと交換することなく、新しい遊技機で遊技しているかのような印象を与えることができる分離型の遊技機の開発が進められている。具体的には、枠体等の構造用部材に前記リールユニット及び主基板（主制御装置）を設置した交換ユニットを、本体キャビネット内部に着脱自在に形成して、新旧の交換作業を容易にしたスロットマシンに関する技術がある（例えば、特願２００１−１６３５７０号。）。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記した従来のいわゆる、分離型の遊技機では、全国各地の遊技ホールで行われる新台入れ替えにおいて、交換ユニットの交換作業が行われる。すなわち、今まで使用していた古い交換ユニットを本体キャビネットから取り外す作業と、今回、新たに導入する新しい交換ユニットを本体キャビネットへ取り付ける作業とが行われる。かかる交換ユニットの取り外し作業は、交換ユニットの手前側や側面側の枠等の一部を握って、本体キャビネットから、ある程度、引き出して、その後、交換ユニットの枠等の上部等を持ち直して、取り外していた。また、新しい交換ユニットを本体キャビネットに取り付ける際には、上述した手順の逆を行うことにより、新しい交換ユニットの取り付け作業（或いは取り外し作業）を行っていた。これらの交換作業において、交換ユニットの重量が加わらずに手前側に少し引き出す作業（或いは押し込む作業）と、交換ユニットの重量が手に加わって取り外して移動する作業（或いは移動して取り付ける作業）とは、力を加える方向や、荷重が加わる方向が異なる作業であるために交換ユニットの手で掴む位置を変える必要があった。しかし、作業途中、手で掴む位置を変えるために交換ユニットを本体キャビネットからある程度、途中まで引き出した状態にすると、交換ユニットが不安定な状態になった。このため、交換作業中は、絶えず、交換ユニットを手で支えている必要があり、交換作業が大変であるといった問題点があった。

そこで、各請求項にそれぞれ記載された各発明は、上記した従来の技術の有する問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、次の点にある。

すなわち、請求項１記載の発明は、上記した従来の技術の有する問題点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、交換ユニットの交換作業を容易なものにすることができるようにした遊技機を提供しようとするものである。

（請求項１）
請求項１記載の発明は、次の点を特徴とする。

すなわち、正面側に開口する正面開口部（１１）を有する本体キャビネット（１）と、前記本体キャビネット（１）の高さ方向の途中に位置して前記本体キャビネット（１）を上下に仕切る中板（１２）と、前記本体キャビネット（１）の正面開口部（１１）を開閉自在に塞ぐ前扉（３）と、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール（２３）及びこの回転リール（２３）を回転表示させるための駆動手段を有するリールユニット（２０）とを備えた遊技機（Ｓ）であって、前記リールユニット（２０）は、交換ユニット（２）に組み込まれ、前記中板（１２）は、前記交換ユニット（２）を前記本体キャビネット（１）の奥側内部に案内するためのガイド（８０）を備え、前記交換ユニット（２）は、遊技内容を変更するために前記本体キャビネット（１）に対して交換可能に形成され、且つ、前記交換ユニット（２）の下部に固定されて前記ガイド（８０）に沿って移動可能な移動体（８１）と、前記リールユニット（２０）を装着するための枠（２１）と、前記枠（２１）に手で握ることが可能な取っ手（７１）とを備え、前記ガイド（８０）は、その前後方向の途中に前記移動体（８１）の移動を困難なものにする移動困難手段（９０）を設け、前記交換ユニット（２）を手前側に引き出して前記移動体（８１）が前記移動困難手段（９０）に位置しているとき、前記交換ユニット（２）の重心（９）が前記ガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも奥側に位置するように前記移動困難手段（９０）を前記ガイド（８０）の前後方向の所定位置に形成したことを特徴とする。

なお、ここで、「駆動手段」とは、具体的には、例えば、回転リール（２３）を回転駆動させるためのステッピングモーター等の駆動モータを含むものである。
また、ここで、「回転リール（４０）」とあるのは、周囲に複数の図柄を表示したものが、実際に回転するようなものに限定されるものではなく、液晶画面に表示されるようなものも含まれるものである。具体的には、例えば、パチンコ機等の遊技盤面の中央に設けた液晶装置を使用することにより、周囲に複数の図柄を表示した回転リールが回転するような画像を当該液晶装置によって遊技者に向かって表示するものも含まれる。また、ここで、「遊技機（１０）」とは、具体的には、例えば、スロットマシンであるが、上述した回転リール（４０）を有するパチンコ機や、その他の遊技機を含むものである。

また、ここで、「交換ユニット（２）を前記本体キャビネット（１）の奥側内部に案内するためのガイド（８０）」とは、交換ユニット（２）を本体キャビネット（１）の奥側内部に向かって案内することが可能な機能を有しているものであれば良いものであって、具体的には、例えば、交換ユニット（２）がそれに沿って本体キャビネット（１）の奥側内部に向かって摺動可能なレールや、溝等の案内部材であれば良いものを含む。

また、ここで、「交換ユニット（２）は、遊技内容を変更するために前記本体キャビネット（１）に対して交換可能に形成され」とは、具体的には、交換ユニット（２）の枠（２１）の左右両端に鉤状に形成されたフックと、本体キャビネット（１）の左右内面に固定されて、前記フック（３４）を引っかけて固定可能なクリップ（３５）とからなる着脱が容易な固定装置（１０）を備えていることにより、交換ユニット（２）を本体キャビネット（１）から容易に交換することができるようなものを含むものである。なお、ここで、枠（２１）は、全体形状が枠状からなり、主制御装置（２５）や、リールユニット（２２）を固定可能に形成されているものである。また、「遊技内容を変更するため」とは、リールユニット（２０）の回転リール（２３）を、その周囲に配置した図柄が異なるものに変更することにより、遊技内容を変更するようなものを含むものである。

また、ここで、「交換ユニット（２）の下部に固定されて前記ガイド（８０）に沿って移動可能な移動体（８１）」の移動体（８１）とは、ガイド（８０）に沿って移動可能なものであれば良いものであって、具体的には、例えば、ガイド（８０）の上面を回転移動可能なローラーや、ガイド（８０）の上面を摺動可能な摩擦抵抗の小さな樹脂材からなる摺動部材等を含むものである。

また、ここで、「リールユニット（２０）を装着するための枠（２１）」とは、リールユニット（２０）等の部品を本体キャビネット（１）の内部に装着して固定するため、内部にリールユニット（２０）等の部品を固定して一体のものにすることができるような枠状の構造体であれば良いものであって、具体的には、例えば、図６に示すような直方体状の枠状構造体を含むものである。

また、ここで、「移動体（８１）の移動を困難なものにする移動困難手段（９０）」とは、移動体（８１）の移動抵抗を増大可能なもの、すなわち、移動体（８１）を移動させるために必要な力が大きくなるような手段を意味し、移動体（８１）の移動が完全に不可能となるようなものを除くものである。具体的には、例えば、移動困難手段（９０）は、下り斜面（９２）及び上り斜面（９３）を有する窪み部（９１）や、或いは、なめらかな凹状のへこみのようなものを含むものである。また、この移動困難手段（９０）は、必ずしもガイド（８０）の下方側に向かって窪んでいるものに限定されるものではなく、ガイド（８０）の上面から上方に向かって突出する凸部をガイド（８０）の長手方向に対して直角方向に設け、かかる凸部を所定距離だけ離した状態で前後方向に２個、形成したようなものでも良い。この凸部は、移動体（８１）が決して乗り越えられない高さではなく、ある程度の前後方向の力を加えることにより、移動体（８１）が凸部を乗り越えることが可能な高さに設定されているものである。

また、ここで、「前記交換ユニット（２）を手前側に引き出して前記移動体（８１）が前記移動困難手段（９０）に位置しているとき、前記交換ユニット（２）の重心（９）が前記ガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも奥側に位置するように前記移動困難手段（９０）を前記ガイド（８０）の前後方向の所定位置に形成した」の「所定位置」とは、移動体（８１）が移動困難手段（９０）の位置にあるとき、交換ユニット（２）の重心（９）がガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも本体キャビネット（１）内部の奥側になるような移動困難手段（９０）のガイド（８０）上の前後方向の位置を意味する。すなわち、移動体（８１）が移動困難手段（９０）の位置にあるとき、交換ユニット（２）の重心（９）が、ガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも本体キャビネット（１）内部の奥側になるような条件を満たすような位置であれば良いことを意味しているものである。なお、ここで、「手前側」とは、交換作業者が、遊技機（Ｓ）の前に、遊技機（Ｓ）側に向かって面したときの手前側、すなわち正面側を意味する。また、ここで、「奥側」とは、交換作業者が、遊技機（Ｓ）の前に、遊技機（Ｓ）側に向かって面したときの本体キャビネット（１）内部の奥側、すなわち裏板（１８）側を意味する。

（作用）
本発明に係る交換ユニット（２）は、枠（２１）の上部に手で握ることが可能な取っ手（７１）を備えている。このため、交換ユニット（２）の交換作業の際、かかる取っ手（７１）を手で握って持ち上げることができ、また、移動や搬送における持ち運び作業の際、取り扱いに便利である。これにより、交換ユニット（２）の交換作業を容易なものにすることができる。

そして、交換ユニット（２）の下部に固定された移動体（８１）が、中板（１２）のガイド（８０）に沿って移動することにより、交換ユニット（２）をガイド（８０）に沿って本体キャビネット（１）の前後方向にスムーズに移動させることができる。そして、移動困難手段（９０）に移動体（８１）が位置すると、交換ユニット（２）の移動を困難なものにして停止させることができる。そして、移動体（８１）が移動困難手段（９０）に位置している状態において、交換ユニット（２）の重心（９）がガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも奥側の位置となるように、移動困難手段（９０）をガイド（８０）の前後方向の所定位置に形成してあるため、移動体（８１）が移動困難手段（９０）に位置している状態では、交換ユニット（２）の重心（９）は、ガイド（８０）の手前側の前端より奥側に有り、交換ユニット（２）の重量は、本体キャビネット（１）の内部のガイド（８０）の手前側の前端より奥側に加わる。これにより、交換ユニット（２）が本体キャビネット（１）内部位置において、安定して支持され、手前側に向かって倒れ落ちることがなく、遊技者は交換ユニット（２）から安心して手を外し、ゆっくりと手の掴み位置を持ち替えることができる。したがって、交換ユニット（２）の交換作業を容易なものにすることができる。

（請求項２）
請求項２記載の発明は、上記した請求項１記載の発明の特徴点に加え、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、正面側に開口する正面開口部（１１）を有する本体キャビネット（１）と、前記本体キャビネット（１）の高さ方向の途中に位置して前記本体キャビネット（１）を上下に仕切る中板（１２）と、前記本体キャビネット（１）の正面開口部（１１）の上部を開閉自在に塞ぐ上扉（３０）と、前記本体キャビネット（１）の正面開口部（１１）の下部を開閉自在に塞ぐ下扉（４０）と、複数の図柄が表示された回転リール（２３）及びこの回転リール（２３）を回転表示させるための駆動手段を有するリールユニット（２０）とを備えた遊技機（Ｓ）であって、前記リールユニット（２０）及び前記上扉（３０）は、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）に組み込まれ、前記中板（１２）は、前記扉一体型交換ユニット（８）を前記本体キャビネット（１）の奥側内部に案内するためのガイド（８０）を備え、前記扉一体型交換ユニット（８）は、遊技内容を変更するために前記本体キャビネット（１）に対して交換可能に形成され、且つ、前記扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の下部に固定されて前記ガイド（８０）に沿って移動可能な移動体（８１）と、前記リールユニット（２０）及び前記上扉（３０）を装着するための枠（２１）と、前記枠（２１）に手で握ることが可能な取っ手（７１）とを備え、前記ガイド（８０）は、その前後方向の途中に前記移動体（８１）の移動を困難なものにする移動困難手段（９０）を設け、前記扉一体型交換ユニット（８）を手前側に引き出して前記移動体（８１）が前記移動困難手段（９０）に位置しているとき、前記扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の重心（９）が前記ガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも奥側に位置するように前記移動困難手段（９０）を前記ガイド（８０）の前後方向の所定位置に形成したことを特徴とする。

また、ここで、「扉一体型交換ユニット（８）を前記本体キャビネット（１）の奥側内部に案内するためのガイド（８０）」とは、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）を本体キャビネット（１）の奥側内部に向かって案内することが可能な機能を有しているものであれば良いものであって、具体的には、例えば、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）がそれに沿って本体キャビネット（１）の奥側内部に向かって摺動可能なレールや、溝等の案内部材であれば良いものを含む。

また、ここで、「扉一体型交換ユニット（８）は、遊技内容を変更するために前記本体キャビネット（１）に対して交換可能に形成され」とは、具体的には、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の枠（２１）の左右両端に鉤状に形成されたフックと、本体キャビネット（１）の左右内面に固定されて、前記フック（３４）を引っかけて固定可能なクリップ（３５）とからなる着脱が容易な固定装置（１０）を備えていることにより、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）を本体キャビネット（１）から容易に交換することができるようなものを含むものである。なお、ここで、枠（２１）は、全体形状が枠状からなり、主制御装置（２５）や、リールユニット（２２）を内部に固定可能に形成され、さらに、枠（２１）の手前側に上扉（３０）を固定可能に形成されているものである。また、「遊技内容を変更するため」とは、リールユニット（２０）の回転リール（２３）を、その周囲に配置した図柄が異なるものに変更することにより、遊技内容を変更するようなものを含むものである。

また、ここで、「前記扉一体型交換ユニット（８）を手前側に引き出して前記移動体（８１）が前記移動困難手段（９０）に位置しているとき、前記扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の重心（９）が前記ガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも奥側に位置するように前記移動困難手段（９０）を前記ガイド（８０）の前後方向の所定位置に形成した」の「所定位置」とは、移動体（８１）が移動困難手段（９０）の位置にあるとき、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の重心（９）がガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも本体キャビネット（１）内部の奥側になるような移動困難手段（９０）のガイド（８０）上の前後方向の位置を意味する。すなわち、移動体（８１）が移動困難手段（９０）の位置にあるとき、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の重心（９）が、ガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも本体キャビネット（１）内部の奥側になるような条件を満たすような位置であれば良いことを意味しているものである。なお、ここで、「手前側」及び「奥側」とは、請求項１の手段で説明したものと同一である。

（作用）
本発明に係る扉一体型交換ユニット（８）は、枠（２１）の上部に手で握ることが可能な取っ手（７１）を備えている。このため、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の交換作業の際、かかる取っ手（７１）を手で握って持ち上げることができ、また、移動や搬送における持ち運び作業の際、取り扱いに便利である。これにより、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の交換作業を容易なものにすることができる。

そして、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の下部に固定された移動体（８１）が、中板（１２）のガイド（８０）に沿って移動することにより、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）をガイド（８０）に沿って本体キャビネット（１）の前後方向にスムーズに移動させることができる。そして、移動困難手段（９０）に移動体（８１）が位置すると、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の移動を困難なものにして停止させることができる。そして、移動体（８１）が移動困難手段（９０）に位置している状態において、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の重心（９）がガイド（８０）の手前側の前端よりも奥側の位置となるように、移動困難手段（９０）をガイド（８０）の前後方向の所定位置に形成してある。このため、移動体（８１）が移動困難手段（９０）に位置している状態では、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の重心（９）は、ガイド（８０）の手前側の前端より奥側に有り、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の重量は、本体キャビネット（１）の内部のガイド（８０）の手前側の前端より奥側に加わる。これにより、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）が本体キャビネット（１）内部位置において、安定して支持され、手前側に向かって倒れ落ちることがなく、遊技者は扉一体型交換ユニット（８）から安心して手を外し、ゆっくりと手の掴み位置を持ち替えることができる。したがって、扉一体型交換ユニット（８）の交換作業を容易なものにすることができる。

請求項３記載の発明は、上記した請求項１又は請求項２記載の発明の特徴点に加え、次の点を特徴とする。
すなわち、前記移動困難手段（９０）は、前記ガイド（８０）から下方に向かって窪んだ窪み部（９１）からなることを特徴とする。

上記本体キャビネット１は、全体形状が箱状であって、図４に示すように、底板１５、側板１６、天板１７及び裏板１８からなる正面側に開口する筺体である。そして、この本体キャビネット１の高さ方向略中央部には、二つの側板１６の間に水平方向に中板１２が渡してある。そして、この中板１２は、扉一体型交換ユニット８を本体キャビネット１の奥側内部に案内するためのガイド８０を左右側部に備えている。また、中板１２は、金属板からなるものである。そして、中板１２の前端縁には上方に向かって９０度折り曲げられた立ち上がり片９４が形成されている。そして、この中板１２の下面には電源装置４が設けられ、底板１５には払い出し装置５が固定されている。

ここで、電源装置４は、中板１２の下面に、取り付け板等を介して取り付けられており、遊技店側が種々の設定を行うためのスイッチ等、店操作部を有している。

上記ガイド８０は、扉一体型交換ユニット８を本体キャビネット１の奥側内部に案内するためのものである。このガイド８０は、図４に示すように中板１２の左右に位置して、前号方向に形成された帯板レール状のものであって、交換ユニット２の下部に配置された移動体８１としてローラーが回転移動可能なものである。そして、この左右のガイド８０は、その前後方向の途中に移動体８１としてのローラーの回転移動を困難なものにする移動困難手段９０を設けている。この移動困難手段９０は、ガイド８０から下方に向かって窪んだ窪み部９１からなるものである。この窪み部９１は、図８に示すように、奥側から手前側に下方に向かって下り斜面となる奥側斜面９２と、この奥側斜面９２の手前側の最下端から手前側に上方に向かって上り斜面となる手前側斜面９３とから形成されている。すなわち、窪み部９１は、奥側斜面９２及び手前側斜面９３により縦断面形状が略Ｖ字状に形成されているものである。そして、この窪み部９１は、図９の（ｂ）に示すように、交換ユニット２の移動体８１としてのローラーの略下半分が内部に入り込むような寸法形状に形成されている。かかる窪み部９１は、左右のガイド８０のそれぞれの前後方向の同位置に１個ずつ形成されている。

この窪み部９１は、移動体８１がガイド８０に沿って移動して、かかる窪み部９１に落ち込むことにより、移動体８１を窪み部９１の内部に一時的に留めておくことができ、これにより、扉一体型交換ユニット８を所定位置に留めておくことができる。そして、移動体８１を窪み部９１の内部から押し上げる程度の力を加えることにより、移動体８１を窪み部９１から脱出させることができ、扉一体型交換ユニット８を再度、ガイド８０上で移動させることができる。このように、移動体８１を窪み部９１の位置に一時的に留めておくことができる。

前記窪み部９１のガイド８０の前後方向における形成位置は、この窪み部９１に扉一体型交換ユニット８の移動体８１が入り込んだ状態で、扉一体型交換ユニット８がガイド８０の前端よりも奥側に自重によって留まり、扉一体型交換ユニット８がガイド８０から手前側に向かって倒れて落ちないような位置に形成されている。具体的には、扉一体型交換ユニット８をガイド８０に沿って手前側に引き出して移動体８１が移動困難手段９０としての窪み部９１の内部に位置しているとき、扉一体型交換ユニット８の重心９がガイド８０の手前側の前端よりも奥側に位置するような位置関係となる。そして、かかる位置関係となるように移動困難手段９０としての窪み部９１が、ガイド８０の前後方向の所定位置に形成されている。すなわち、図９（ｂ）に示すように、移動体８１としてのローラーがガイド８０上の移動困難手段９０としての窪み部９１の内部に嵌り込んでいる状態のときに、扉一体型交換ユニット８の重心９が、ガイド８０の前端（中板１２の立ち上がり片９４が形成されている方）よりも本体キャビネット１の奥側に位置するように設定されているものである。これは、移動体８１が窪み部９１に嵌り込んだ図１及び図２に示すような状態であって、扉一体型交換ユニット８の重心９は、ガイド８０の前端よりも奥側に位置することにより、扉一体型交換ユニット８は、交換作業者が手で支持することなく、扉一体型交換ユニット８の自重により本体キャビネット１の内部に安定した状態で保持されるものである。

（扉一体型交換ユニット８）
上記扉一体型交換ユニット８は、遊技ホールにおける、いわゆる新台入れ替えの際、遊技内容を変更するために本体キャビネット１に対して交換可能に形成されているものである。この扉一体型交換ユニット８は、交換ユニット２と、この交換ユニット２の手前側に開閉可能に取り付けられた上扉３０とから形成されているものである。この交換ユニット２及び上扉３０は、両者が一体となった状態で、本体キャビネット１から取り外し、また、取り付けることができるように形成されている。なお、交換ユニット２から上扉３０を取り外せば、交換ユニット２だけの取り付けや、取り外しも可能となるように形成されている。

上記扉一体型交換ユニット８の交換ユニット２は、固定装置１０を介して本体キャビネット１に着脱自在に取り付けられているものである。この固定装置１０は、交換ユニット２の枠２１の左右両端に鉤状に形成されたフック３４と、本体キャビネット１の左右内面に固定されて、前記フック３４を引っかけて固定可能なクリップ３５とからなる着脱が容易なものである。

上記扉一体型交換ユニット８の交換ユニット２は、リールユニット２０等の部品を装着するための四角枠状の部材を組み合わせた枠２１と、この枠２１の上部に位置してリールユニット２０の上方を覆う上板７０と、枠２１の上部に位置して上方から手で握ることが可能な取っ手７１とを備えている。また、扉一体型交換ユニット８は、その下部に固定されてガイド８０に沿って移動可能な移動体８１を備えている。具体的には、移動体８１は、扉一体型交換ユニット８の交換ユニット２の奥側左右の下部に回転可能な円板状の回転ローラーからなるものである。

前記扉一体型交換ユニット８の交換ユニット２は、前記枠２１の下部に固定されたリールユニット２２と、枠２１の上部奥側に固定された基板ユニット２４とを備えている。
ここで、リールユニット２２は、周囲に複数の図柄を表示した３個の回転リール２３と、特に図示しないが、それぞれの回転リール２３を回転させるための駆動モータを有している。また、前記基板ユニット２４は、回転リール２３の回転等を制御するための主制御装置２５が透明樹脂からなる四角箱状の基板ケース２６の内部に収納されているものである。

（上板７０）
上記上板７０は、枠２１の上部に設けられて、リールユニット２０の上方を覆っているものである。具体的には、上板７０は、枠２１の高さ方向途中の横方向に渡されるように枠２１に固定されているものである。この上板７０は、リールユニット２０の上方を覆うような位置に固定されているものである。この上板７０は、その側端及び後ろ側の端部において、複数個のねじ及びボルトからなる締結部材により、枠２１にしっかりと固定されているものである。なお、この上板７０は、金属性の板状の板状部材からなり、交換ユニット２の全体の重量が加わっても変形しないような強度を有している。そして、この上板７０の上面には、折りたたみ可能な取っ手７１が形成されている。

（取っ手７１）
上記取っ手７１は、枠２１の上部に設けられて、交換ユニット２の交換作業者が上方から或いは前方から手を差し込んで握ることが可能なものである。具体的には、取っ手７１は、上板７０の上面の前後方向の略中央付近に、左右の横方向に把持可能な棒状のものが形成されているものである。さらに、具体的には、取っ手７１は、交換作業者が作業中に、上方から或いは前方から差し込んだ手で握るための取っ手本体部７２と、この取っ手本体部７２の両端を上板７０に連結する連結部７３とを備えている。

前記取っ手本体部７２は、手で掴むことが可能な円柱棒状であって、横方向に渡された金属性からなる握り棒７６と、この握り棒７６の左右両端を左右の連結部７３にそれぞれ繋げるための金属性からなる短尺板状の支持片７７とを備えている。すなわち、１本の握り棒７６と、その両端から延びる２本の支持片７７とにより、取っ手本体部７２は、その全体形状が略コ字状に形成されている。

前記連結部７３は、取っ手本体部７２を連結部７３の回りに回動可能な回動手段７４を備えている。前記連結部７３は、２枚の短尺片の間に、支持片７７が回動可能に挟み込まれている構造を有している。そして、前記回動手段７４は、連結部７３及び支持片７７を同一中心軸により貫通するピン孔７８と、このピン孔７８に差し込まれた回動ピン７５とから形成されているものである。取っ手本体部７２の支持片７７は、このピン７５を回転の中心軸として、前後方向に１８０度、回動可能となるように形成されている。

なお、回動手段７４は、取っ手本体部７２を手前側若しくは奥側のいずれか一方側に向かって、回転させるような力を加えることが可能なバネ等の弾性付与部材を備えても良いものである。すなわち、渦巻きバネや、コイル等の弾性付与部材を使用して、常時、取っ手本体部７２を手前側或いは奥側に向かって回転する方向に力を加えるものである。これにより、交換ユニット２を持ち上げるときは、取っ手本体部７２を手で掴んで天板１７から鉛直方向に立設させることができ、一方、取っ手本体部７２を手で持たないときは、弾性付与部材の弾性復元力により、取っ手本体部７２を上板７０の上面に沿って自動的に倒すことができて、取っ手７１を自動的に折りたたむことができる。したがって、交換ユニット２の上方での電気接続コードの結線作業等において、作業者が作業に邪魔な取っ手７１を折りたたむという工程を省くことができる。

（上扉３０）
上記上扉３０は、扉一体型交換ユニット８を構成する部品の一つであり、交換ユニット２の枠２１に回転自在かつロック可能に形成されている板状の扉である。そして、上扉３０は、略中央部に前記回転リール２３の図柄を正面側から見ることができる図柄表示窓３１を有し、周囲に飾り部３３が設けられ、種々の表示を行うための表示装置３２が設けられているものである。

前記下扉４０の上部は、遊技機Ｓを作動させるための操作部４１となっており、下扉４０の上面は、閉扉時においては、上扉３０よりも前側に突出するようになっている。また、下部には払い出されたメダルを溜めておくための箱状のメダル受け４３が形成されており、下扉４０の略中央部には、遊技内容その他の案内表示をするための前パネル５０が嵌め込まれている。
