軸筒1には弾発部材7を介して後方(図中上側)に移動不能にシール筒部3が段部で係止されセットされている。そのシール筒部3の後方内面には、筆記体2の前方の外壁と密閉を保つための内方リブが形成されている。また、シール蓋4には、3本の細線部5が放射状にしかも等間隔(120度間隔)な位置に一体に形成されている。その細線部5の後端はガイド筒6に固定され弾発部材7の付勢により、前記シール蓋4を後方に押し当て、そのシール蓋4とシール筒部3との密閉が保たれている。
軸筒1の先端部は筆記体2の先端が出没可能に摺動する先端開口穴が設けられ、後端は筆記体2を形成する後方部材(尾栓)2bを摺動可能に配置できる後端開口穴が設けられている。また、軸筒1の側面には摺動駒9が長手方向に摺動可能で、先端方向に係止部1bを形成した案内溝1aが形成されている。その案内溝1aの後方は軸筒1の後端開口部と連接されず、案内溝1aは軸筒1の側面で閉じた窓部を形成している。即ち、案内溝1aの先端と後端(後端部1c)は、閉塞されているのである。また、案内溝1aの後端部1cは、筆記体2が軸筒1に収納されているときの摺動駒9の係止部ともなり得る。
