例えば、シートクッションとシートバックからなる自動車用シート等においては、該シートバックをシートクッション側へ折り畳んで収納可能とした格納式のものが知られている。この場合、シートクッションとシートバックとを所定の動きをするようにリンク機構で連結するのが一般的である。また、特許文献1に示されるように、リクライニング機構の連結軸にシートバックの回転動作に伴うねじれ変形を防止する目的でダンパーを設けたものも知られている。

一方、前記格納式シートにおいては、シートを折り畳んで収納する場合やシートを元の位置へ戻す際に、シートバックが勢いよく動いてバタンと大きな音をたてるという現象を生じていた。この結果、シートバックの動きが粗雑であるとともに発生音も大きく、高級感に欠けるという問題点があった。従って、シートバックの動きを滑らかにして高級感をかもし出すことができ、しかもコンパクトな装置で小型軽量化に反することのない新たなリンク機構、及び格納式の車両用シートの開発が望まれていた。

本発明は上記のような従来の問題点を解決して、動きが滑らかで高級感をかもし出すことができ、しかもコンパクトな装置で小型軽量化も図ることができるダンパー付きリンク機構及びこれを組み込んだ車両用シートを提供することを目的として完成されたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題を解決するためになされた本発明は、固定したリンクを有するN節からなる限定リンク機構であって、運動する節の少なくとも1個に回転式ダンパーを取り付けたことを特徴とするダンパー付きリンク機構と、このダンパー付きリンク機構をシートクッションとシートバックからなり、該シートバックをシートクッション側へ折り畳んで収納可能とした格納式シートに組み込んだことを特徴とする車両用シートである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、図面を参照しつつ本発明の好ましい形態を示す。
図1は、本発明に係るリンク機構の動きを示す説明図であり、図示のものではリンクL1〜L4を回り対偶A〜Dの4節によって組み立てた限定リンク機構を一例として示している。また前記リンクのうち、リンクL1は固定された状態となっている。そして前記運動する節の少なくとも1個には回転式ダンパー10を取り付けた構造となっている。なお、図示のものでは節Cに回転式ダンパーを取り付けてある。

前記回転式ダンパー10は、リンク機構の動きを滑らかにする目的で設けるものであり、シートバックを折り畳んで収納する場合やシートを元の位置へ戻す際に、シートバックが勢いよく動いてバタンと大きな音をたてる現象を防止するものである。
この場合、回転式ダンパー10の取り付け位置としては各節A〜Dのいずれにも設置することが可能である。しかしながら、本発明者は種々テストを繰り返した結果、回転式ダンパー10を節A、Bのような固定した節に設けるよりも、節C、Dのような運動する節に設けたほうが、回転トルクが小さくなることを見出し、従って、運動する節の少なくとも1個に回転式ダンパーを取り付けることによってダンパー10の小型軽量化が可能になるという技術思想に基づき、本発明に至ったのである。
なお、回転式ダンパー10は節C、Dのいずれにも設けることができるが、少なくとも1個設ければ十分にトルクを小さくすることができ、図示のものでは節Cのみに回転式ダンパー10を取り付けたものとしてある。
また、図示のものでは4節の限定リンク機構について説明したが、Nは5以上であってもよいことは勿論である。

次に、上記のようなダンパー付きリンク機構を格納式シートに組み込んだ車両用シートについて説明する。
図2〜図4は、自動車用シートを示すものであって、図中1はシートクッション、2はシートバックであり、該シートバック2をシートクッション1側へ折り畳んで収納可能とした構造となっている。
更に詳述すると、シートバック2は節Aを中心に回動自在に枢着されており、一方、シートクッション1は後端部が節Dをもってシートバック2に回動自在に枢着されているとともに前端部がリンクL2の節Cをもって回動自在に枢着されている。また節BはリンクL2のフロア側との枢着点である。

これを前記リンク機構と符号を一致させると、リンクL1は節A、Bを結んだ直線、リンクL2は節B、Cを結んだ直線、リンクL3は節C、Dを結んだ直線、リンクL4は節D、Aを結んだ直線である。また、節A、Bはシートフレームブラケット3に固定されている回転中心であり、節C、Dはリンクの回動とともに移動する回転中心である。そして、回転移動する節Cには回転式ダンパー10が取り付けられた構造となっている。

このような車両用シートは、図2〜図3に示されるように、シートとして使用される通常状態と、シートバック2をシートクッション1側へ折り畳んで収納した状態の2態様を採ることができるものであるが、ダンパー付きリンク機構を組み込んだ構造でありシートバック2の滑らかな作動が実現できて高級感に富むものである。しかも、前記回転式ダンパー10を回転移動する節Cに取り付けたことにより、ダンパーの回転トルクをより小さいものとすることができ、使用するダンパーの小型軽量化を図ることが可能となる。

ちなみに、各節A、B、C、Dのいずれかに回転式ダンパー10を取り付けた場合のダンパーの必要反力(トルク)を測定した結果は、A(30N・m)、B(30N・m)、C(18N・m)、D(22N・m)であり、回転移動する節にダンパーを取り付けるとダンパーのトルクが小さくなることが確認された。
これは、例えばトルクが15N・mの回転式ダンパーを用いた場合、節A、Bの位置だと2個使用しないとリンクの作動が滑らかにならないが、節C、Dの位置だと1個で済むことを意味し、より小型のダンパーで滑らかに折り畳み収納することができることが判る。

【発明の効果】
以上の説明からも明らかなように、本発明はダンパーを特定位置に用いることにより動きが滑らかで高級感をかもし出すことができ、しかもコンパクトな装置で小型軽量化も図ることができるダンパー付きリンク機構を提供できるものである。また、このダンパー付きリンク機構を組み込んだ車両用シートはシートバック折り畳み操作の際の動きが滑らかで高級感があり、かつ優れた操作性を発揮できるものである。
よって、本発明は従来の問題点を一掃したダンパー付きリンク機構を組み込んだ車両用シートとして、産業の発展に寄与するところは極めて大である。
