従来の橋梁用支承体における移動制限装置としては、例えば、図7〜図10に示すように、ベースプレート1上に、上沓2と下沓3とを備えた支承体4を設置し、前記支承体側部のベースプレート1上には、支承体4の橋軸直角方向Xの移動を規制する移動制限部材5(ジョイントプロテクタ)がそれぞれ設置されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
