Claims (1)

リング部における断面U字形としたダイカスト金属製の芯金の周囲に、前記リング部の平面周方向に沿って、合成樹脂製の被覆部が順に複数成形されるステアリングホイールの製造方法であって、
前記ステアリングホイールにおける前記リング部の平面周方向に沿って順に形成される前記被覆部が、硬質合成樹脂から形成される第1被覆部と、該第1被覆部より軟質の軟質合成樹脂から形成されるとともに、前記第1被覆部の成形後に成形される第2被覆部と、を備えて構成され、
前記ステアリングホイールの前記リング部芯金が、前記第1被覆部における端面の部位に、前記リング部芯金のダイカスト鋳造時に鋳造されて、U字形状の断面の内周側の溝を塞ぐバリ切り用の閉塞部、を備えて構成され、
前記第1被覆部の成形時、前記第1被覆部の成形材料のバリの発生を抑え可能に、前記閉塞部の外周面を含んだ前記リング部芯金の外周面に、前記第1被覆部の成形型の型面を圧接させて、前記成形型を型閉めし、前記第1被覆部の成形材料を前記成形型に注入して、前記第1被覆部を成形して製造することを特徴とするステアリングホイールの製造方法。
